We have taken other Christmas cruises in the past for family together time. This cruises was of poor quality. If I had not ever taken a prior cruise I would NEVER be back, I would demand a refund.
Our first couple of cruises we could not leave our cabin for 5 minutes and a steward would come clean it, make beds freshen-up the bathroom. Leave mints or a cute towel critter. This time we were ...
We have cruised on Carnival ships for years. I am sad to say, we are very disappointed in our last cruising experience on the Glory. First, after checking in at airport, we were told our room keys would be available next to stateroom. We get to room, and no key was there. I was told I had to go to customer service and at this point, the wait was over an hour just to speak with someone to get a ...
My family of 5 (2 adult children, sr mother, self and friend) had to change our original itinerary due to Hurricane Maria- no problem! We received a 25% discount to rebook so decided on the balcony and still received a partial refund (2 rooms). Embarkation was quick and we were allowed in our rooms by 1pm, sail and sign card was in mailbox- very simplistic. Since we came from Oregon and 40 ...
I chose this cruise to go to Honduras, Belize, Cozumel out of Port Canaveral. It was for 7 days. I have been on 8 cruises, with 6 being Carnival. I prefer Carnival because it is more family oriented and there is more to do than other cruise lines (except maybe Disney). I did like the ship, it was more updated than other ships. You can look at your photos digitally instead of having to search ...
The shows were not very good. There was an issue with the water on the boat where it was shut down for nearly a hour before dinner. The best parts were the cruise director and the taco restaurant. The gym is also a nice size. They really need to add more hours to the taco restaurant. The cabins are dated, as is the rest of the ship. I would not recommend this boat for any type of cruise that ...
Overall I think the cruise was amazing.
I had a problem with the motion. In talking to another guest, I was able to purchase some wristbands in the gift shop that helped a lot with the issue.
What I found disappointing was when my sister made the reservations there were 4 ports. After hurricane season Carnival took one of our ports, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands away and gave us another ...
We cruised over Christmas and chose this based on the itinerary. We wanted to be on vacation for Christmas. That said, there were probably more families and children than usual.
We didn't find it too crowded, and the shows were never full. We went to Flick in the theater, and 3 different comedians in the club. Flick was great, entertaining and worth seeing. The comedians were not funny and it ...
Instead of dealing with the Christmas crowds, shopping, stress, etc, we try to spend the holidays on a cruise. This year we chose the Carnival Magic and a 7-day Western Caribbean itinerary. We recently (March 2017) sailed on the Magic for the first time and were happy with the ship so selecting it again was not a problem. First, the positives:
1) Embarkation and debarkation at Port Canaveral ...
There are plenty of good things to say about Carnival. First, we thought they were pretty well organized for most ports. Cozumel exit was less organized. Belize required tenders. Roatan was by dock and very well organized. Returning to ship was organized pretty well with Cozumel being the least organized again. Most didn't understand that there were three open entrances at Cozumel. ...
This was by far the best cruise ship I have ever been on. The ship has murals and art everywhere. The cabin was the biggest one I have stayed in. I was in a balcony and it was way larger than the inside and ocean view rooms I have stayed in in the past. The crew, the service, and the food was all top notch. My only complaint is that there weren't any crew members monitoring the serenity decks and ...
