We have cruised on The Splendor before, when it was cruising the Western Mexico coast. It was fairly new then and seems to have held up just fine! Boarded in New York, which went fairly smoothly. First off, let me say I have only been on one other Carnival ship before, the Carnival Magic. Great ship! Most of my cruises have been with NCL. That being said, the Carnival Splendor is in need of it's retrofit more sooner, than later if it wants to compete with the newer market of cruise ships.

First of all let me say that my wife and I are veteran travelers of cruises and we are platinum on carnival. They certainly call them "The Fun Ships" for a reason.
