We had a wonderful time on this cruise, the ports were great, the weather was nice and cool and the ship was in good condition.
The splendor is showing a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing to greatly impact the condition of the ship. We generally didn't feel any motion while onboard (weirdly only when in the main dining room for dinner). Yes the ship is pink, but you really have to be ...

We have cruised on The Splendor before, when it was cruising the Western Mexico coast. It was fairly new then and seems to have held up just fine! Boarded in New York, which went fairly smoothly. First off, let me say I have only been on one other Carnival ship before, the Carnival Magic. Great ship! Most of my cruises have been with NCL. That being said, the Carnival Splendor is in need of it's retrofit more sooner, than later if it wants to compete with the newer market of cruise ships.

Having cruised before, we had realistic expectations (average food; typical production shows; very tight slots in the casino; lots of standing in lines; friendly staff).

We were on the Oct 16th sailing out of New York sailing to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau. The sailing schedule was 2 sea days, 3 ports, 2 sea days.
