Carnival Canada & New England Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Great ship, great cruise

We had a wonderful time on this cruise, the ports were great, the weather was nice and cool and the ship was in good condition. The splendor is showing a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing to greatly impact the condition of the ship. We generally didn't feel any motion while onboard (weirdly only when in the main dining room for dinner). Yes the ship is pink, but you really have to be ...

We had a lovely cruise, the ship was spotless, only complaint was the food in the buffett was cold, there was very little choice,, As i only eat white meat we decided to eat in the dinning room and we found this was the same (very little choice if any) unless you wanted to eat chicken breast dinner everynight. went for breakfast the in the dinning room first day we waited an hour and a half for ...

Second time on the Splendor, this time to Canada and New England

We have cruised on The Splendor before, when it was cruising the Western Mexico coast. It was fairly new then and seems to have held up just fine! Boarded in New York, which went fairly smoothly. We flew to Newark and caught Carnival transportation to the port. . (The cruisers on this trip seemed to be more of the retiree/older genre, so it was a little less of a party atmosphere than on some ...

Carnival Splendor needs an upgrade soon!

First off, let me say I have only been on one other Carnival ship before, the Carnival Magic. Great ship! Most of my cruises have been with NCL. That being said, the Carnival Splendor is in need of it's retrofit more sooner, than later if it wants to compete with the newer market of cruise ships. To begin the review, embarkation wasn't too bad, considering it's N.Y.C. Yes, they are rude at the ...

Pros and Cons including cabin choice

This was our 4th cruise overall and our first with Carnival. Having cruised before, we had realistic expectations (average food; typical production shows; very tight slots in the casino; lots of standing in lines; friendly staff). Carnival has the Faster to the Fun excursion which is excellent. I think that they should sell more of these. On the Lido, there is, in addition to the typically ...

Having traveled on other cruise lines and having enjoyed every trip, we were looking forward to our cruise on Carnival, which was our first for this line. Reviews seemed good, so we booked and counted the days until our sailing day. We arrived at the cruise terminal, no big welcome, not the usual fan fair etc, just chaos trying to get onto the boat. No band, no welcoming faces, oh...just those ...

My hubby and I have just returned from a New England & Canada cruise which we had looked forward to for several years. The destinations were good, in particular St.Johns, and Portland [Maine] where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and friendliness of the locals. Onboard we were very disappointed with several things. 1. The evening shows in the theatre were not up to the quality of other ...

We boarded @1:45 PM and as platinum whisked right thru. Companions were in the regular boarding and came shortly after. 3rd time on Splendor, all different itineraries. Our cabin was ready although at that time probably the whole ship was. The ship is well kept. John Heald donated door prizes for our CC M&G and the casino donated prizes for out slot pull. The food was typical Carnival and met my ...

This was our 5th cruise, 1 AMA (Danube), 2 Norwegian (Alaska & Mediterranean), 1 Princess (Baltic). We were not expecting much from Carnival and WOW! We were surprised! We had a spa room-deck 11 (1107) which entitled us to unlimited access to the spa the entire time. The room was great, bathroom just fine, storage more than enough. Spa was incredible-better than any on land I can ...

We were on the Oct 16th sailing out of New York sailing to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau. The sailing schedule was 2 sea days, 3 ports, 2 sea days. First thing to remember if you sail out of NY in the fall is that it is not always warm for the 1st and last sea day. The one advantage on the Splendour is that the main pool and Dive In Theatre is covered with the retractable dome. It was nice ...
