We chose this cruise because it was short and during our school mid-winter recess. This cruise left us with a few days to also enjoy Walt Disney World during our vacation. We had 21 people on this cruise and most had never cruised before so this short itinerary was perfect. EVERYONE had a fantastic trip. So much so that most of us are already booked for a week long Caribbean cruise for next ...
Let me preface this review by saying it is not meant to be one of the hit pieces on Carnival. My wife and I have now done 26 cruises, two of which were on Carnival ships and we have decided that we prefer other cruising experiences. But, for sure, Carnival fills a niche for thousands of people and I don't want to diminish that. We sailed on the Pride because my daughter and her family had ...
We chose this cruise for the port of departure (close to our home), the anticipated family-friendliness of the cruise line, and the destination (Bahamas).
Embarkation was fast and smooth. The port has parking/sign in down to a science. The longest we had to wait was maybe 15 minutes in the car queue waiting to drop off our luggage. After that, we did not have to wait in any lines to get on ...
This was a girls cruise. I’ve been on Freedom and Liberty so I’m familiar with the conquest class ship.
This cruise made me realize that Carnival is no longer for me. Personally I feel Carnival needs to evolve on all levels especially entertainment. I’ve since cancelled Breeze .
Embarking was easy where as disembarkment was terrible, Carnival blamed imagination but it wasn’t , it was ...
We took 35 relatives on a 7 day cruise in the Bahamas. Overall Carnival is a good value for the money. the staff in general is very polite considerate and helpful - helpful only if it falls within there area of allowable assistance - i.e. the cabin attendant can bring you extra towels.
Worst thing is the wifi is very poor - only works 50% of the time - resets 5 times an hour, and is so slow you ...
Easy embarkation. Faster To the Fun meant our rooms were ready when we boarded at noon; luggage arrived not long after. A maintenance issue delayed our departure over 6 hours. I was very disappointed that there was no announcement about it until we were already eating dinner. It also meant that our visit to Grand Turk was even shorter than planned.
Sensation is a small ship, definitely dated in ...
Great 5 day Caribbean Cruise on the Sensation.
Yes this is a smaller ship, but I actually preferred it over ships like the Oasis of the Seas. Much more laidback, do as you please type of attitude.
Entertainment- could have had more show options, and could have hosted the Deck Parties longer. After a couple songs, the Fun Squad disappear.
We never had an issue getting on/off ship. super ...
Embarkation and Disembarkation - very smooth and efficient
Ship - Dated and needs upgrades but okay
VERY SMALL pools, and loaded with kids - we spent ALL of our time on board, when sunning on the Serenity Deck - very crowded and people DO save all the hammocks and rounds loungers - and then leave for hours - not enforced
The main pool was so crowded you could not move - so if you are ...
We traveled aboard the Elation as a part of a group cruise for a wedding. When we arrived at the terminal in Jacksonville, there was a long wait. So our 12:30p.m. check-in time, really turned out to be 1:30pm.
Aboard the ship, we had lots to do! Our room was comfortable. Our steward was nice enough. The entertainment was comical. We participated in the Hasbro game show. It was a blast! We saw ...
The buffet staff was outstanding. There was always a smile from each of them, they were always around cleaning up and there were always supervisors around and checking up and talking to us. There was a 40ish supervisor with shaved hair that I saw no less than 3 times a day.
Cabin steward was Audi. He and his staff did an excellent job of keeping the rooms clean and picked up. The housing staff ...
