My husband and I are avid cruisers with more than 14 cruises between us (1 RC, 1 Celebrity, and the rest Carnival.) This was our worst cruise experience ever. I booked this cruise a year in advance to grab one of the wrap-around aft balconies (cabin 8448.)
Positives: 1.) Our cabin steward, Randall, was GREAT. 2.) My family booked the opposite corner (cabin 8455) our views were phenomenal. ...
Within 20 minutes of our home. Second time on the Pride, and we had fun. Wind prevented our last port, Freeport, otherwise, all went well. Best time was the full day in Nassau at the Atlantis, doing everything they offered, aquarium, slides etc. Our waiters in the restaurant were terrific, Hari, Rommell, Ague. We had our table moved from rear to front and Matre de was very helpful.
Ship has ...
We are a couple in our 60's. have been on 7 other cruises with NCL and RC. First time with Carnival. Pros: great embarkation, quick at Cape Canaveral. Room 1007 was BIG for inside cabin and huge bathroom. Overall service from help was great!
Cons: Food was poor at buffet, very few selections, cold and at evening meal half of the buffet was closed as if to discourage use. Very disappointed in ...
I chose this cruise because I recently moved close to the port and so many individuals have expressed their love of the ship. I took my father, husband and three children on this cruise and it was our first cruise out of a cold port. We expected some cold weather but not most of the days to be cold but that couldn't be helped by Carnival. The staff to embark was excellent and provided one of ...
Port location was motivation to sail this ship. Charleston is well equipped to handle the bag drop off and embarkation smoothly. Disembarkation was just as smooth, although all passengers were trying to do the same thing, at the same time. Good assistance for handicap needs. Many did self disembarkation - saw them leaving as early as 7a.m. ECSTASY shows evidence of her age; however, inside, is ...
As first time cruisers, traveling with children, we wanted to make our experience as simple as possible. With Charleston being an easy 5 hr car ride, we chose to leave from there and traveled down the day before embarkation. We took advantage of a hotel deal where we could stay the night, have a sit down breakfast, park our car for the week, and take the hotel shuttle to and from the port- this ...
We decided to do a family cruise this year. Three of the seven of us have cruised before so this was a new experience for four members of my family . Embarkation went smoothly enough. Upon boarding the ship our room was easy to locate but we found it was quite small for an ocean view room. Once settled we went up to the Lido deck for something to eat. Maybe if the weather had been better I would ...
Embarkation was very easy. We were on the ship early. No waiting for ID photos any longer. They scan the picture from your passport, on the ship in 20 minutes.
We had a great time. Dining room every night. Enjoyed every meal there.
Had the seven course meal at the chef's table, it was a great experience.
The tour of the galley was very interesting. It's almost unbelievable they ...
We love Carnival , just not this ship. If you have never been on other carnival ships or this was your first cruise it was ok ,but I would suggest you try another ship and see what you are missing. Room service was very good but that was the only thing on par with their other ships. MDR service was slow and poor, waiters mixed up orders and we had to repeatedly ask for things such as after dinner ...
We were looking for a quick, inexpensive getaway with no kids and the Liberty out of Port Canaveral fit the bill. All of our previous cruises have been on Fantasy class ships so we were looking forward to seeing what a larger ship had to offer. We did arrive the night before and stayed in Cocoa Beach. The beach was nice enough but the area itself, including the hotel, was a little dated. ...
