Carnival Elation
Sailing out of Jacksonville. We were 3 couples with suites V 2,4,6 all together. We all had junior suites and are members of their VIFP club (frequent cruisers) which allows priority boarding. The embarkation process was a breeze. We were allowed access to our cabins to drop our stuff. They were not quite ready. The jr suite was quite nice. King bed, sofa/twin bed, small table ...
This was my wife and I first cruise trip together. Also this was our honeymoon trip. Although we had a small problem with knowing what to bring at the embarkation, we were excited. Everything was amazing. The food was excellent! My wife and I where shocked about how great the food tasted with no sugar. This really gave us a head start to our new diet. We where amazed at the amount of hospitality ...
This is our second trip on the Carnival Ecstasy on the Rivera level (4th Floor) with a portal ocean view..
Upon arriving at the port we were charged $20 per day ($120) parking though last trip they provided complementary parking with my Military ID. They commented that they never offered a military discount..(I must be nuts, right?)
The Terminal - Entering the terminal we were quickly ...
Wanted to thank the cruise line and staff for a great vacation. I will definitely cruise with Carnival again. The ship was clean and the room was ready when we got on board. The cabin was enough space for my wife and I and was equipped with everything that we needed. The lunch options and the dinner options were both very good. For the entertainment we took advantage of a lot of the entertainment ...
We took this cruise to end a very bad year following the death of my father. We spent the extra money to place our grown girls in their own room. As SOON as we pulled into Jax. we got an email stating that the ports were closed and not to go to the port. The ship should have docked 3 hours earlier and they were just sending this. A large group of families gathered at the pilot down the road to ...
This was our 4th time sailing the Pride, but the first time since they renovated and added the new water slides etc. From past experience and having sailed Disney, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean (15 in total) we had realistic expectations for this cruise and walked away feeling relaxed, happy and that we made the right decision. Traveling with 4 kids under the age of 13 can get expensive so we ...
In a word....FANTASTIC!

We went on this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary and thought it would be great for new years eve also. Overall it was a good cruise it's an older ship but kept up nice for the most part. Some bad sewer smells in some halls but not in our room.
Now for the bad the crew was the worst i have ever seen in fact it was the first time i did not tip anyone over our prepaid gratuity.
no ...
First off to give some perspective, we have sailed maybe 25 times. We're obviously not first timers but we also have some relative experience with different lines. We have sailed Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival lines. We have stayed in Suites, Balconies, Oceanviews and Inside Cabins. We chose the Carnival Conquest primarily for the ports but also the holidays and ...
We had hoped this Carnival cruise would be good value for money, and it was. But Carnival Pride was a much better ship than we expected, in many ways. Our balcony room was nicer than some "premium" lines' balcony rooms we have used, and the cabin staff was better. Beds and bathroom were quite comfortable, and the room was large.
We were quite surprised at how nice the Pride's common areas ...
