We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit the Hawaiian Islands, and start in Vancouver so we could see the sites there. To the positive of Carnival, we went on a cruise with them last November, and loved the Splendor!

We started this amazing trip in Seattle with a friend. We spent 4 days tour the town and seeing the sites such as: The Space Needle, The Chihuly Museum, the Pop Culture museum, the Troll under the bridge, the Z Park, the water front, the Pike Place Market, Kerry Park, the Argosy boat cruise and much more. We choose this cruise with 19 friends, as our bucket list Alaskan cruise that it took in Glacier bay and a full day in Victoria and at most ports. Our ports were Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria and a full day sailing around Glacier bay, plus 2 at sea days, we departed on Tuesday and arrived back Wednesday the following week.

Alaska was nice, enjoyed all stops, Juneau, we took helicopter to glacier and drank glacier water, very nice time, on the way back we stopped at a local bar and enjoyed "Duck Farts" a very good and effective drink, ate at Tracys seafood, very over priced but hey, ALL of Alaska is!!!

A short review.
We had room 6279-- a premium balcony room. A very large room with a very large balcony. There are only 6 of them on this ship and are well worth the cost--a bit more than a balcony, but way less than a suite.

We took the very same cruise in 2003 aboard the Carnival Magic. The Legend is a similar ship with different decorations.
