The cabin was supposed be larger than the standard stateroom but I am not sure. Then a standard cabin is surely tight. Only had a problem to store the one suitcase which would not fit under the bed and which caused stubbed toes throughout. We like to hang all our clothes mostly and found the hangers a little short in supply, but as we gave laundry in we got more hangers. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Being on the lowest deck and in the middle it was pleasant. Never heard anyone, our neighbours must have been quiet and access to one set of lifts was close. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 2582 Outside cabin: Decent size for 2 people, small bathroom, showing age, decent closet, limited drawer space, antique TV, worn furniture, very cold A/C. If you are prone to motion sickness this is a great spot. Not much ship movement.
Cabin 2581 Inside cabin: Decent size for 2 people, small bathroom, really showing age, decent closet, limited drawer space, antique TV, very warm cabin, questionable A/C. Again great area if you are prone to motion sickness. Read entire member review. |

When my husband booked the cruise almost 9 months in advance - he asked for the middle of the ship as I tend to get sea sick. We went thru Cruises.com and they did NOT offer us a variety of cabin choices nor had us look at the deck plans to choose a cabin of our choice. We found out several months later that they had put us on the 2nd floor in the WORST room on the ship. We called many, many times months in advance to change they room but they told us that the ship had already been sold out. I honestly feel that was a lie as we called MONTHS in advance not weeks. Our cabin was right above the gang plank. Neither the Royal Caribbean nor Cruises.com informed us of this when they booked us in to this room. We were abruptly awoken every day for 6 days between 5:00am and 6:00am when the ship ported. They dropped chains/ropes against our outer wall which startled us awake, as well as, the gang plank and proceeded to prepare for tourist departure. Being that our room was RIGHT above the area most of the ship left for excursions - it sounded like being in a ship yard. Unbelievable that they would even charge for this room!! We complained. They said 'oh sorry' and did nothing.
The room itself is old with stains on the couch and carpets. Coloring is horrid. Enough space, however, for two people to co-exist with stepping on each other.
The bedding was lumpy/bumpy. The TV was a small 1960s TV. The room steward was average but did not go out of his way clean the room other than the bathroom - which he always kept very clean. Read entire member review. |
