We had a Grand Suite 8006. Whist it was clearly a little dated, it was a very comfortable suite with a good deal of space and day light through the big patio doors.
The one down side was the feeble shower over the bath. Read entire member review. |

Wow, the Grand Suite on the Vision blew us away. Its smaller than what we had on the Voyager Class, but the layout is the same, the biggest difference is the balcony and the windows. Basically, the entire wall is floor to ceiling glass, so you can see everything going by. We loved this because on the days it was a little too chilly to sit on the balcony, we could still watch the world sail by from our couch or bed. No noise complaints or any real issues, we did hear a little thumping from deck nine above as things were being set up, but nothing that bothered us. The cabin is in great ship for a ship that hasnt been refurbed yet, and if you just keep that in mind, youll be pleasantly surprised.
The facet in the right sink leaks a little, but you just have to turn it off at the right angle, and it'll stop.
Ive posted pictures of our suite on Flickr below because I know how hard it was to find Grand Suite photos on the Vision.

Cabin 8516. Grand Suite. Great cabin. However one drawback to the suits is that they are all under the pool deck and therefore are subject to noise from above. Read entire member review. |

Spacious and well designed with wall to wall glass leading onto a large private balcony with comfortable seating and a small table. Excellent drapes provided proper darkening for the night and early morning. There was a decent sized flat TV and enough English language news channels that could be easily viewed from the comfortable beds or good room seating available. Just inside the door was a bar area and plenty of storage facilities. The bathroom was also large, with one of the biggest tubs on any ships I have previously sailed on. There was no separate shower and for the over-bath arrangement it was difficult to adjust the temperature to remain steady. It varied too much from hot to cold and was abandoned for the full bath experience. Loads of regularly replenished amenities were provided.
WiFi is not available in any cabin, but can be accessed in various advertised areas of the ship.
One of the impressive features was the absolute absence of engine noise and vibration. There was no way of telling if we were at sea and underway, or alongside, in port. Read entire member review. |

Loved our cabin. It was plenty big for the 4 of us. Bathroom was very large in our opinion. Had large bed for the adults and pull out bed for the kids. Had a "bar area" (had some drawers for storage too) which was nice when we had breakfast delivered to our room. Had large wardrobe area with plenty of room for clothes and suitcase. We loved our balcony. Spent many times gazing at the sun, the full moon or just having a glass of wine while the boat pulled into and out of the ports. Given this ship overall wasn't that big, we wanted to be on the highest passenger deck so we selected our cabin on the 8th floor (not near front or back of boat). Read entire member review. |
