Cabin was great!! So much larger than we thought or read about! Huge bathroom. Lots of storage too. We had 6 large suitcases and 2 smaller suitcases and plenty of room. Beds were nice and we liked the extra pull down twin bed as well!

CABIN – we found on prior cruises that we are only in the room to change, for the kids nap or to sleep. So we book INSIDE cabins. We were put in 5195. This room was right underneath Headliners Comedy Club. We were expecting the worst and were ready to complain since they had show’s going to 1am or later. But we were pleasantly surprised that we hardly heard anything the entire trip. It was probably the worst on the last night. This cabin was far bigger than I expected. Everything about the room was great. Beds were extremely comfortable. Our room steward – Jonah was great.

Reasonably sized, a little lacking in storage, big closet with plenty of hangars, nice bathroom, excellent shower, key card slot to turn the lights on, AC doesn't work that well, weak water pressure

Great room! The bed was extremely comfortable and it didn't eat up all. The overall appearance and size made it very appealing. There was ample storage space all over the room. The bathroom and shower were also a highlight.

The room was of good size for the five of us, but we were on the fifth deck and it got very noisy as you could hear a lot of boat noises and sometimes crew noises because of our location. Beds were comfortable and the large window was great. The bathroom was clean and large. Our stateroom helper was great and even decorated my room on my birthday!!

The stateroom was beautiful and just the right size for me and her. We did not feel crowded at all. This was good for us because we like the larger size balcony that came with the room including 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs. If you are a smoker like myself you cannot smoke in the room but you can smoke on the balcony which was good enough for me. The room includes a television that is connected to the ship and you can access everything from your onboard account to shore excursions, as well as entertainment for the day, reserve dinner of a show, etc just from using a remote. Your room service including pizza deliver is just a push button on your stateroom phone. The layout is great and the color is very relaxing. I would stay in this room again

Our room 8124, M6 Mini-Suite – Large Balcony, we loved our room and the location. I was concerned that since we were near the front we might feel the boat more. No concerns. We had a table, 2 chairs and 1 lounger on the balcony and still had room to move around. The only complaint is we did get trash, etc. from others above and if you are out by the railing people above can see you. There were also white bits that appeared over the course of the cruise. The people next to us were smoking cigars so I don’t know if that was it or not. As people have said before, plenty of storage available in the cabin. Bed was very comfortable no issues. Loved the size of the bathroom, did not feel cramped. Shower was large with multiple options for water spray.

Inside cabin. Very well laid out and quite comfortable. But miss the sunlight.
No complaints. 8700 extremely forward and is apparently over the engine room. Some booming in
the middle of the night. Immense noise when docking early in the morning. Longest walk to EVERYTHING.

The room was wonderful. Really loved the size of the shower and the balcony at the curve of the ship gives 8736 a larger front with a great view back along the ship that the other balconies do not have. Our room steward insured that the room always looked like you just arrived,

The mini-suite was very nice. The head (bathroom) was a nice size and the spray heads in the shower were a nice touch. The room itself was about what you would expect from a balcony room. The balcony was a joke. What "bean counter" convinced NCL 9x4 feet was a good size for a balcony? .

Not So Great by pbmiller32

Very small, the smallest of any cruise ship on which I've traveled. In fact, it was smaller than balcony cabins on RCCL and Princess. The balcony, too, was the smallest I've even encountered on a cruise ship. The bathroom, however, was spacious by comparison. It had a long double/type sink, a large glass enclosed shower with multiple jets, shelves above the sink, 2 cabinets for storage under the sink, and a small drawer for storage under the tissue dispenser as well as plenty of room to move around.

Best Cruise Ever by jodi1823

The cabin was very spacious for 4 people...my kids had a bunk bed, so they were in heaven and my husband and I had a king... We decided to go with a balcony room and we were very happy we did...the beautiful sights we would see waking up, the ports we stopped at, getting to see this every morning was worth the extra price... Having had a balcony this time around, I could never do an inside cabin ever again....

The cabin was located a few doors down from the elevators- a great location. You get no noise from them. In fact other than children running down the hall at various times you get no noise from outside the room. The technology is great, being able to signal to the room steward regarding the cleaning of the room is easy. The shower and bathroom are nice in size. There is plenty of storage room in various places. We loved the location of our room.

Lots of Fun!!! by happyhappy66

My husband, two children and I shared a balcony cabin on the 10th floor. The cabins are an avg size for a cruise ship (small) however; there was plenty of space to put away our luggage under the bed and in the closet. There was room for clothes in the drawers under the couch which doubled as bunk beds for my kids. Our cabin steward was attentive. She kept our room clean and left towel animals and cupcakes for the kids. Also, she always had a smile on her face. My husband and I ended each night sitting on the balcony. I read some criticisms about the balcony being small but, I would say that there was ample room for both of us.

Cabin is in the very front of the ship. Large picture window at a slant, with a window seat in front of it. Great view out the front. The storage seemed a bit limited. However, they did have plenty of storage for 2 people. Actually, under the window seat is all storage, but the steward was using much of it for storing linens, but he said he could take them out if we needed the space, which we did not. The room was very quiet, and there was not any excess rocking or movement. Enjoyed the cabin and the view out the window.

Because we needed 2 adjoining rooms for my husband, myself, and the 3 children, we ended up in Staterooms 11106 (The Haven Forward-Facing Penthouse with Balcony) and 11108 (Balcony Stateroom), which connect. I couldn’t believe the amount of space we had! My husband and I had 2 huge closets and tons of built-in drawers. We hadn’t even filled half the space after unpacking. Our gorgeous, modern bathroom had a corner air jet tub, glass shower, separate toilet area, 2 large Villeroy & Boch sinks, and plenty of storage. The bathroom had a generous supply of Elemis toiletries. There was a mirrored vanity area in the bedroom with a seat, blow dryer and magnifying mirror for doing hair and makeup. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms had plenty of light: our bedroom had a giant porthole, and the living/dining room and the kids’ bedroom each had a balcony that fit 2 chairs and a small table. Our cabin steward was amazing! He knew our names the minute we boarded and kept the room immaculate.

We booked the Mini Suite stateroom guarantee. It was all that was available to us at the time of booking (a little over a month out.) We were originally assigned to a Family Mini Suite on Deck 12 but were asked by their corporate office about 1 week before the cruise if we would switch rooms so a family of four (with small children) could enjoy our room. We were given the same type of cabin (only difference was a large shower stall instead of a bathtub) on the 11th deck and we were given $100 on board credit. Totally was worth it. We really enjoyed the little extra room you get in the mini-suite. Our cabin steward Henry was excellent and really paid attention to our habits and seldom seemed intrusive. He was very helpful. Some may rate the rooms and balconies small, but I ask what were you expecting? Its a cruise ship! Its not the Waldorf in New York City. The only challenge in our cabin (and I can only assume other cabins) is keeping the A/c at an acceptable level. They have all of these energy savings safeguards in place and they are difficult to maneuver. Our A/C would randomly reset to luke warm in the middle of the night.

The location of this room was great. It was right off the elevator and very handy not having to walk down the long hallways. Overall, it was basically as expected except that there was a strange smell in the room that never got better. It was there when we arrived. Not overwhelmingly bad but always there. Almost smelled like the previous guests had really bad body odor that just continued to linger, it was little bit of a mix of body odor and maybe mildew?? Couldn't pinpoint it exactly. I kept thinking it would get better or the room steward would notice and try to do something but it stayed. Also, the carpet was more worn that I would have expected for such a new ship--maybe something happened with the carpet that caused the odor.

This room seemed smaller than normal and I was so upset with the limited amount of shelf space in the closet. Also, the locked storage was smaller than other ships. But, we worked around it and in the end, it didn't really matter.

We chose a balcony stateroom, but were upgraded to a balcony mini-suite. Based on other reviews, we requested to NOT be on Deck 12, where the kids' splash academy keeps kids moving through the halls till the wee hours. Our Deck 11 midship location was perfect, quiet, and convenient. The space was terrific for 2, including decent closet space and room for 2 at the large bathroom sink. The shower featured a hand held spray or 6 nozzle spray, and had excellent water pressure. Bed linens and pillows were very nice quality and slept well. Our room was immaculate! We especially enjoyed early morning and late night on the balcony and would definitely recommend it. Lights and all electrical power in your room require a key card to be inserted into a slot near the bathroom door - great way Norwegian conserves energy! - and you can easily click on "do not disturb" or "please make up room" switches to signal your steward whether you want privacy or services. Storage was certainly adequate for 2, with about 15 hangers in the closet - better than most hotels offer by far for hanging clothes and staying wrinkle free. A hairdryer is provided, and NCL is clear that they do not want you to bring or use your own dryer as it is considered a fire hazard (maybe the high wattage).

The room was perfect for our family of 4. We had the family mini suite and the size was good. There were lots of little spaces to store things and the bathroom was nicely laid out…The balcony was on the small end, but it was fine. Again, not having much to compare it to cruise wise, but the room seemed to be well thought-out. The room was quiet and being mid-ship was nice.

This stateroom was the mini-suite category, though not really a suite. kind of average room with a small balcony. TV quality was analog type, not HD so it was lacking in quality. The internet on the ship was excruciatingly slow and basically useless...Beware of family decks locations....lots of "unruly" children running on the floors, slamming the stateroom doors at all hours and drunk teen-agers acting out in their staterooms...If you are looking to relax on your balcony or get some rest in your stateroom, it's not likely to happen on decks 12 and 13...

We opted for the guaranteed balcony and ended up on the 13th floor, cabin number 13112. Lots of storage space under the couch and bed as well as all around the television and of course a nice sized closet. The bathroom is a nice size and the shower was tall enough for me, I'm 6'2" and most showers do not accommodate me well. The room is large and very clean. The balcony was nice, not big enough to dine on really, but certainly large enough to spend time watching the ocean and the ports, etc.

Room is ridiculously small. I had to sit on the bed to get into the closet. No storage drawers anywhere. My husband and I are experienced cruisers and pack light so we had plenty of storage. Loved the shower wand but wasted space sink that should have been added to balcony. Balcony? Mini-suite? You should be ashamed! We paid extra for a sliding door to a tiny, basically useless step out from a itsy bitsy stateroom.

We had a spa balcony - 14104 - it smells great in this area and is 1 deck below the spa itself. The locations was great for us since we spent so much time at the spa. Movement wasn't an issue.
Noise - not a problem in general - it was only a little annoying that there was always a lot of crew going in and out of our hallway slamming doors because they have cabins on this end of the ship. Once you are in room, it's pretty quiet.
Space - the cabin itself was the smallest balcony cabin we ever had and the smallest balcony we have ever had - it's funny what a difference just a few square feet can make - if w had the kiddos with us it would have been WAY too small and I would have been upset, but with just the two of us, we were fine.
Our cabin steward - shashank - was great! Beds and pillows are very comfy - TV was good size, some good free movies was nice. Storage space was fine for 2, but more than that would have been tough.

This cabin met our expectations. We did read about there being possible noises heard from the fitness center upstair or from stairwells used down the hall. Not true for us. We enjoyed the comfort of our cabin. There is a room safe that needed a battery change but did not effect our ability to use it. Alamondo was our assigned butler, he was very professional and great attitude and service.

We had a Spa Balcony, room 14150. This particular cabin has an angled balcony, which is slightly larger than the regular balcony cabins. The trade-off is slightly less privacy, but only if you're standing at the railing, if you're sitting, no one can see you. This balcony also has slightly more cover than others, due to the shape of the deck above, but we found that to be a good thing. The room itself is a basic balcony cabin just like all the others, just with an included spa pass, and located only one deck down from the spa.

Fabulous Getaway! by Jdeszily

There is plenty of storage under bed and sofa (2 drawers) plus to the left of the bar fridge and the closet was a nice size with robes and slippers provided. There also is an in room safe and hairdryer.
The shower was very nice for a ship with a double sink and Grohe multiple jet shower, shampoo, soap and shower gel dispensers. The double sink is good to do quick laundry, roll in towels and hang in shower or balcony to dry.

Love Norwegian! by shudson23

The room was great. This category is a "Mid-Ship Balcony." Our room steward allowed us to view a regular balcony room so we could compare for the next time.

The biggest difference between this room and a regular balcony room is the bathroom. Our bathroom had a double sink and a larger shower with jets. We loved it!!!

I read a lot of reviews where people complained about the size of the balcony. Honest, I thought the balcony was fine. It maybe was a tad bit smaller than Carnival's balcony, but it was still fine!!!

The Room Steward does a great job. Your fridge comes stocked. If you want the space you can ask your steward to remove the items.

Currently there is a blow dryer in the room and it works great. So you can pass on bringing one if you would like.

This room is centrally located to both the Forward and Aft elevator. So depending on where you want to go you will either turn left or right and essentially take the same amount of steps. You are one deck below the Garden Cafe.

This was our first Aft balcony. The stateroom is small, but not tiny. There was plenty of storage for the two of us. Storage was shelves. Husband would have liked drawers. The closet was compact. One side had shelves and the safe. The other side was for hanging clothes. For us it held a suit, four outfits, several golf shirts and two dresses.

If you enjoy the nightlife-you'll love the location. Do NOT book this room if you like to retire early or enjoy the quiet sea from your balcony. Spice H20 is two decks up and the heart of the ship at night. You'll be treated to loud thumping, shouting and unexplained rattles. The balcony is spacious. However, you will suffer from balcony envy. The adjoining stateroom has a much higher price point. This was our first Aft balcony. We loved the view, the sound from the thrusters is similar to a waterfall. It was very relaxing, but we missed any breeze. It was hot on the balcony during the day. The bathroom is spacious.

1st Time Norwegian!!! by Kris2stepjohn

This is the perfect cabin for someone who does not plan to spend time in their room from 10pm - 1am. During this time, the music from the H2O Spice Club (on the 16th deck) is loud and vibrates in the room. However, during the day, you can sleep peacefully as it is very quiet in the back of the ship! Close to the Garden Buffet deck 15 and both the Teen and regular Clubs on deck 16, it is a great cabin for partiers! The room itself, mirrors the brochure pictures with a nice size bathroom and large balcony. From the back of the ship, you kind of feel like you are riding on a yacht!

14732

We were in Haven S9 Spa stateroom 14732 on the 4/19/2014 sailing for 7 nights. This was our 3rd NCL cruise, but our first in 18 years. For avid cruisers, we were on a 3 day Seaward as part of our honeymoon trip in 1994, and a 4 day Leeward as part of our 2nd anniversary trip in 1996. Because I am prone to getting queasy when sailing is less than smooth, I was very nervous about rocking being on such a high deck, but it was completely smooth sailing. With the Getaway being just about 3 months new, the stateroom was still essentially brand new, and the bedding still crisp white. This cabin, with its romantic jetted tub in the living space with a view to the ocean, only sleeps 2. The flooring is vinyl wood, which we thought made for an overall cleaner environment than carpet (which tends to get sandy). The bathroom was not large, but had a great layout; two people can actually brush their teeth at the same time, and the shower is roomy and had good water pressure, though neither of us liked the back and foot jets, and just used the showerhead. Being in the spa section of staterooms, we were expecting a quiet experience, and only on two days we heard minor noise from the spa/gym area above for a brief period in the morning.
For those who think about location in relation to where most of your time will be spent onboard, it’s easy to just take a few steps down the hall to take the Forward elevators up (Haven, Vibe, and Spa). But, expect multiple stops going down (such as the Theatre and O’Sheehan’s, La Cucina, Shore Excursions, Guest Services, and the Internet Cafe). We found walking aft and up a flight or so of steps for the Garden Buffet, Spice, and mini golf was easier than taking the elevator up and walking back through the pool deck. Also, anything located Aft required some walking (which doesn’t bother use, but some don’t like trekking to and from) as well as multiple stops going down. These destinations include the Main Dining Rooms (MDRs), Headliners Comedy, the Mojito Bar, Cagney’s and Moderno.

Cabins very small, but got used to it quickly. The balcony was the smallest I have ever seen, but it forced us to not stay in the room that much, and if we did go on it, was no problem to stand at rails and look out on horizon. Bathroom was fine. Oh......tv only has like 6 channels, if you take away the Norwegian channels. I know I was on vacation, and don't want to watch tv, but took us 2 days to find out who won the Spurs/Thunder game.

Excellent 2 bedroom family villa with lots of room to move around, lots of room to store luggage away, and lots of drawer and closet space. Decoration was classy and understated, with lots of dark wood and glass. Balcony was a little small, but ample, with 2 chairs and a small table. Master bathroom was beautiful, with a waterfront window at the tub and another at the shower. Mattress in the master bedroom was delightful; other mattresses (2 in second bedroom, 1 in sleeper couch in living room) were terrible - thin and hard. Very nice having the butler bring fresh fruit, cheeses, and desserts to the cabin every day. Very quiet cabin, easily accessible.

"Base" (non-Haven related) stateroom service was excellent. I could have used a larger balcony with loungers (Haven Courtyard Penthouse, smallest in Haven category), but the price more than made up for it. I chose the cabin to get access to the Haven amenities, not the other way around. Absolutely amazing bedding.

4 PM visits from the butler with snacks were a nice treat, and using the Haven concierge rather than visiting the guest relations and/or make reservations was wonderful.

Small room, difficult to get to balcony with couch pulled out. No where to set packed luggage in the room that last night, it's that tight. But... Who spends that much time there anyway. Suitcases under the bed, typical closet. Only a couple drawers , my son lived out of his suitcase on the floor under the desk.
Really sweet and hardworking cabin stewards, all of them always stopped to say hello and ask if you need anything. Room well cared for.
