Rooms were ready around 130pm, and our room was in a perfect location. Deck 8 mid-ship balcony room, super close to elevators, easy access to the waterfront which is also on deck 8, and 90% of all the restaurants and bars. Ocean view was great. No life boats or anything obstructing the views. A lot of people were commenting on the size of the balconies for the regular balcony rooms, saying they were super small. It all depends on what you want your balcony for. If you are like us, and just wanted a balcony to stand on or sit down on while you enjoy a light snack and/or a glass of wine or coffee while watching sunrises/sunsets, than the balcony size was perfect. 2 chairs, a little table, and enough leg room for 2 average sized people. If you want a balcony for lounging on, sun tanning, having dinner on, then I would go for one of the larger balcony rooms. For us, the balcony wasn't going to be a place where we would spend a ton of time. There are plenty of areas on this ship for you to really enjoy the outdoor spaces. This cabin had the bed closest to the balcony, which made the room feel quite large actually. There was tons of storage space, lots of hangers, the bathroom was very functional and provided more than enough room for 1 person at a time to get ready, while the other person could use the main cabin area for getting ready. All in all, this cabin was great and provided everything we needed. I would stay in this cabin again! Our room steward Agnelo was friendly and kept our room clean and always stocked with what we needed. We aren't very demanding guests, and he definitely picked up on that and kept things simple and efficient for us.
I have a history of bad motion sickness and picked the mid ship in lower deck with this in mind. Some would say the aft is also good but I did not want to take the chance. I also took zofran (ondansetron) once daily and did not have any problem. I had to take OTC anti-nausea once before bed on the 2nd night because the sea was really choppy, and found out many passengers had similar problem. The room was bigger than expected with plenty of storage space for 2. The bed was average. The room can be noisy from the ship rocking at night but not bad at all and I slept like a log. Our cabin steward Jonathan was professional, friendly and very efficient! My cabin mate randomly put her change of clothes on the bed while we went out to eat for an hour, came back to made up bed and clothes folded neatly on the nightstand! We felt bad and made sure to fold it ourselves. All the crew members are very hard working and deserve appreciation. I have no problem with tipping extra for good service!
P.S. I would definitely get a balcony again and probably a balcony spa which is cheaper than getting a separate 1-week spa package ($200).
Comfortable with mid sized Balcony with lounge cahir and two chairs. could add another lounge if reqd. Well designed cabin with lots of storage. Larger than normal shower , good drinking water.Comes with coffee maker
Room was ok. They put the closet and shelves along the length of one side of the bed. You have about 6-8 inches between the bed and closet. Also between the bed corner and TV/Refer/Coffee etc., cabinet you had about 8 inches. So you crab walked beside the bed for the closed and sat on the bed to get into it and the same to get through to the sofa and balcony. Nice to have refer and coffee pot. I thought there was a lot of storage for the two of us. They have a hassock that has storage that doubles as a table for in front of your sofa. You can take the wooden top off and use it as a tray if you want to bring food/drinks back from the Café. VERY NICE closing doors. When you closed the door to the balcony and put the lever up, it really shut out the outside noise. You put your key card in a slot when you come in the room and that lets you turn on the lights. If you don't put your card in you can't. Also has a button to push when you leave for housekeeping. Nice. TV service to see your bill, and what's going on etc.
Our mini suite cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. They was plenty of room for clothing between the closet, the shelves, the drawers under the sofa, and the cabinets in the room. All suitecases fit nicely under the bed. The bathroom was fantastic! It had dual sinks and the shower was awesome.
cabin was smaller than same style cabin we have had on other lines. Storage was terrible....nooks and crannies....not drawers....VERY SMALL BALCONY.!!!!!...Looks like they have figured out a way to make more balcony cabins to get more money from passengers......
Small room, adequate storage, a little hard to get into closet, as so close to bed. Nice TV, balcony smallest I have ever seen, but functional, two chairs and a table. Doors close really good on balcony so you don't get the wind whistling when you are out at sea. No slamming either, and doors on your cabin open out into the hallway, something different.. Very clean, Shower was nice, had a door instead of a curtain, shaving bar for women, lots of storage. rooms are not very soundproof. could hear my neighbor snoring through the wall every-night. IF your a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
