Spa Balcony staterooms have a queen-size bed (that can be separated), pillow top mattress, a television, vanity, full closet with sliding doors, sofa bed, private shower, and a shaving bar. Guests also enjoy complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suites.
Port side cabin, Forward, right off the elevators. Queen size bed next to the balcony with a couch. Balcony was small, just plenty of room for 2 chairs. There was a coffee maker and refrigerator and safe in the room. Just enough room for 2 adults, plenty of storage room for your clothes and stuff, no so much for your bags, but we stowed them underneath the bed. Bathroom was nice, just enough. Shower is a good size, not too big, but plenty of room.
The Spa Balcony rooms were not as nice as expected. The TV was small and could not be moved to be seen by the person on the far side of the bed. The TV quality was poor and had only a few channels, all generated from a European satellite. I definitely was not interested in European soccer and cricket.
The bed was reasonably comfortable, but there were no firm pillow options. There are no outlets near the bed so if you have a medical device or wish to have your phone charging and nearby you will need to obtain an extension cord from the guest services desk and avoid tripping over the cord if you want to walk to the balcony. The shower was tight for an average person. It would be very difficult to use for a large person. The same applies to the toilet, both in size and ability to flush. The hair dryer is hard wired and located at the end of the room near the balcony, far away from the bathroom, which is a little strange. There was plenty of space to hang clothes, but little to put folded clothes. There was little room to maneuver in the room with 2 people, much less if there were others with you.
Cabin was nicely appointed but a little bit smaller than we were expecting. We didn't feel cramped, but it was definitely cozy. The balcony however, was rather cramped, with barely enough room for the 2 chairs and tiny table. The bathroom was a nice size, as was the shower, with plenty of shelf space for all of our toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage creatively worked into the room design. We had great weather and calm seas so despite behind high up and in a forward cabin, we barely felt the ship move at all. We chose the starboard side so that we could watch the sail away from our balcony and still enjoy great views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Scenic New Jersey, and the Verrazano Bridge.
