Our choice of cabin is dictated by the need to be close to the lift well. So far no problems with noise from passing traffic. We would not cruise unless we could book a balcony cabin - the french doors give a sense of space in the cabin itself. The Princess cabins do seem smaller than Holland America where we had a sitting area which we did like especially since we eat breakfast in the cabin. Our cabin on Sun Princess had 4 bunk beds, 3 of which magically vanished into ceiling & wall cavities, leaving the 4th bunk to be converted into a sofa/lounge during the day. This gave us so much space - it was wonderful. I'd highly recommend this to families with older children. Small balcony, but satisfactory & private. Lots of cupboard space. Had a Balcony cabin deck 11 midship Cabin is small, Balcony is small compared to more modern ships Deck 11 is below the pool deck and often had noise from people dragging chairs and tables over the deck. Bathroom is tiny and you can hardly get 1 person in it. Closets are reasonable with good draw space There is a small fridge, Flat screen TV and Phone and Hair Dryer. You can store suitcase's under the bed. The balcony has 2 chairs and small table but you must sit sideways as to small to sit front on  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was at the rear of the boat, very quiet other than the external door in the passage slamming shut at times. The view from the balcony was fine, same as all other balconies, but narrow, not much wider than the chair, again, same as all other balconies other than suites, I would imagine, but narrower than other ships we have been on. wardrobe size room! end of bed only 600mm from wall and pilows need some filling in them, perhaps they could take it out of the mattress it was so hard, also you can wash your feet while sitting on toilet, Balcony not deep enough that you cannot invite another couple for drinks on it.  Read entire member review.
