A Generic Cruise by HAWKSBY

Our cabin had been unassigned until boarding and we drew the short straw- We got cabin 224 on the Upper deck, port side as far aft as possible. It was roomy enough with quite adequate storage fro hanging and folded clothes. It was a bit shaky right over the engines during maneuvering, but otherwise OK- The window was large, but the curtains were equipped with a "black-out" curtain on only one side. Great steward service- he called me by name every time he saw me- anywhere. Always select your cabin in advance.

Room was 7 floor ocean view. Nothing special, but sufficient.

Great location. Close to elevator lobby and dining areas  Read entire member review.

Cabin was ample sized in spite of the fact there were 5 of us. Beds were surprisingly comfy, and the window was larger than anticipated. We didn't spend much time in there, but I found if you put away your gear in the closets right away, you wouldn't be tripping over each other as much if you stowed your suitcases under the television corner.

Cabin E11 was a great location - very close to everything and in the front of the boat. The cabin is right below the stage. However, we rarely heard noise - just during evening performances when the dancers were really stomping. We never heard practice noise at any other time, so this would not prevent us from staying in this room again. The beds were very firm and not in a good way - we travel frequently and usually don't have problems with beds on cruises or in hotels, but these were the most uncomfortable mattresses on a cruise we have ever been on, so hopefully the mattresses will be replaced.  Read entire member review.

Our Cabin was great for two people. can't complain about bathroom just a little small but you are on a boat. Walls are thin so be aware that your next door neighbors could hear what you do!!!!! Hallway was quiet for the most part.  Read entire member review.
Bring earplugs! Not much noise from the galley above the room, but people walk by all hours of the day and night making noise. I am a light sleeper and was so happy I brought earplugs! Window was dirty, that was disappointing. Other than that it was comfortable.  Read entire member review.

An adequate room. 2 portholes instead of a window. Although there is only one adjoining stateroom on one side, the room is next to a steward's closet which seems to have use 24 hours a day. also, there is a lot of ship motion in these far-forward cabins on a vessel of her age.  Read entire member review.

This cabin was the next to last cabin at the back of the ship. It was very quiet, but required a lot of long walks. The bathroom had some odor issues the first day, but it went away. The room was also looking a little worn.

Seemed close to dining room and Universal Lounge and was a great location. Did have some heavy crew traffic...think their cabins were forward from ours maybe but no real distraction. It was nice to greet them in the corridors.  Read entire member review.

We had an inside stateroom on the Empress Deck. We really liked the location of the our cabin. We were close to the atrium and staircase and it was not noisy. I wasn’t sure how the set up would be for 5 people. I was surprised as I unpacked that there was space for everything. There are 3 closets that have shelves and a safe. There is also a vanity table/desk with several drawers. The beds were pushed together to make a king and the two twins were pulled down from the ceiling. Then, there was little cot on the floor for our 5th person. I thought the cabin steward would put the beds back away during the day and take them down every night, but he didn’t. But it really wasn’t a problem. I never felt cramped in the room - we really weren’t in it much. The TV channels that ship gets are local ABC, NBC, CBS Florida stations, CNN, ESPN, Cartoon Network, & Boomerang. We did not allow our kids to bring on a computer or ipods, so they did watch the kids channels a bit. I was glad that we packed our power strip and alarm clock.

Our cabin, E85, was in a great location. An inside cabin, it was right around the corner from the Atrium Bar and one deck below the Universe Lounge and The Celebration Dining Room.  Read entire member review.

5 days in Paradise by scimprints

We were in room M155 and M157 which were both oceanview rooms. One room had three twin beds and the other room had a king bed and a crib. There was plenty of closet space and the cabin stewards were amazing. The turn down each night with chocolate and towel animals was very enjoyable.

Clean, plenty of room for 5

Our family of four that included a 16 and 18 year old stayed in one cabin. The cabin was small, but we knew that going in and expected to be close. We had two twin beds that were pushed together to make a king size bed. There was also a twin size upper. Our only complaint was the fourth bed that was brought in. It was more of a wide cot and was very short. Our 18 year old said she felt she was sleeping in a toddler bed.

M66 on the Main deck was small (duh) but clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and room felt nice and cool. Nice view of the ocean from our window. Pay extra for the's worth it. Plenty of closet space. Nice hot shower.  Read entire member review.

Plenty of closet space. Quiet location  Read entire member review.
We stayed in adjoining cabins M99 and M103. We prefer interior cabins so we don't have outside light coming in for the occasional afternoon nap. Because they were adjoining, we felt like we had plenty of space for myself, my husband and our 2 children. The cabins had enough storage and there was room under the beds to hide the luggage. We were midship and it was very quiet except for the occasional people talking loudly in the hallway. We heard no outside noise when the ship docked in port. Cabins were close to elevators, but, not so close as to hear the noise.  Read entire member review.
Anniversary Cruise by Boris-n-Natasha

Upper deck Ocean view midship - plenty of room for 2 people, only one electrical outlet (we had power strip so no big deal), clean, bathroom light a little dim. This will be our go to cabin type.

Interior room - fine - no clock anywhere - never knew the time.  Read entire member review.
Adequate space for an inside cabin. Small bathroom, but with adequate shower. Comfortable bed, with great towels, robes, and linens. Closet space was adequate for an inside room.  Read entire member review.
The cabin I had, the best cabin on the ship, is too glorified for what it really is. It's a room, not a suite, and has a pole in the way, so even as a modified cabin, my accessibility with my power chair is limited. For example I cannot access the balcony with my chair. But the bathroom was great!  Read entire member review.

Wonderful cabin steward. Cabin was always clean and in order. Properly stocked  Read entire member review.
The had a standard outside view cabin. Plenty of room and storage. The one quirk is that you have to step up into the bathroom but that's true of all the cabins. We were at the aft or rear of the ship and enjoyed that location.  Read entire member review.

It was fine, but I felt like the bathroom was way too small.

Our steward was great. She was friendly and efficient and our room always looked great and clean. No complaints in that department. For an older ship, it felt modern and up to date (with the exception of the strange hair dryer).

The cabin was old and worn, but comfortable and clean - don't think Hilton - think Holiday Inn Express...

Carpets were dirty and never cleaned throughout 7 day cruise. Walls are paper-thin... can even hear adjacent cabin folks at all times. If you value quiet time - forget this ship!!!

The Penthouse Suite 2 is a once in a lifetime experience. If you ever have the chance for this upgrade do your best to take advantage of it. Our entire family loved this experience. Please see my review for details. It is the ultimate in luxury. I hope that I can add pictures to this review. This room on the Fantasy is awesome.

spacious cabin, wish there were more places in the shower to put toiletries besides the floor (since the water make take awhile to drain). And the crew needs to remember to be quiet when walking in stairwells and using doors that are near the guest cabins.  Read entire member review.

AWESOME Family Cruise!! by SLONorthCarolina

We had adjoining cabins. We had a king size bed in ours and three bunks in the kid's cabin (bunk beds and another twin). No matter the room configuration, we all still had plenty of room and storage. Bathrooms were clean and of good size, but there was not a lot of storage/counter space. We used a behind the door, hanging shoe holder to hold all of our toiletries to include my hair dryer, makeup, medications, etc. The windows were large and allowed for a good view of the ocean, but we truly appreciated the black out blinds in the morning! We could not hear adjoining passengers through the cabin walls, but we could hear noise/talking in the hallways. Our white noise machine took care of that easily. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were soft and thick. There is a flat screen TV in each room which had a few basic cable stations and a new movie playing each day. Our cabin steward was very friendly and the kid's loved coming back each night to turn down service, chocolate, and a new towel animal.

Cabin r166 The cabin was clean and well set up for 4 people. I prefer two uppers but this worked well as it had one upper and little bed. The only negative was that the water would not stay a constant temperature.

We were a little nervous for an interior room but pleasantly surprised. The room had plenty of space for a family of three. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels multiple times a day and we requested fresh sheets daily. The beds were VERY comfortable. After reading other reviews we took the advice and brought extra hangers, an extension cord and a noise machine. I don't think we ecountered much noise but having the machine ensured sounder sleep for all 3 of us. The only suggesion I have for the rooms is hooks of some sort on the walls by the fake window. The line in the shower is not big enough for all the wet suits.

Cabin U147 Small but adequate for 2 adults, located reasonably close to elevators. No noise from other cabins or public space, but there was a random light clanging noise coming from behind inboard bulkhead - didn't bother me but the wife mentioned it a few times. I thought the room was adequate, but next time I'm going with a balcony.  Read entire member review.
We actually had adjoining cabins, U153 and U155. No complaints at all. Cabins were roomy, plenty of closet space, bathrooms were laid out nicely. Our cabin staff were great. If there was any one complaint it would be the air conditioning/heat system. Cabins do have thermostats, rather they have a little control knob to control the air flow. So needless to say, it was either too hot or too cold. Did that spoil our cruise?? Heck no!!!  Read entire member review.
The Carnival Catastrophe by Shane O-Mack
Due to being the first cruise I have ever been on I have nothing to compare it to. However the friends I went with said it was much more efficient with space compared to Norwegian.  Read entire member review.
We were in Cabin U198 (level 6), location was perfect for getting to Camp Carnival (deck 9 aft) and Windows on the Sea buffet dining (deck 10 aft) it was quiet enough, though we had 3 kids under 6 in our room so quiet is a relative term! Our neighbors may have felt differently :) the room has 3 closets, first one had life jackets and bedding stored in it, 2nd had 2 bathrobes and we stored a suitcase in it along with our dressy clothes, and the 3rd had shelves and a safe in it. The vanity had several drawers that were basically useless, as they were too shallow to actually store anything in them. we had the room set with a king bed (two twin beds together), 2 upper bunks open and a trundle bed on the floor under a bunk. there was also a chair that we couldnt use because it was in the corner trapped alongside a table that was also unusable. Window was a little sketchy, screws missing and it looked as if it could use some repairs. the bathroom was roomier than I expected, water pressure was mediocre, but it definitely got hot!  Read entire member review.
Inside cabins are nice because you can sleep great in them. Less movement. Stays dark. On a short cruise like this, we always choose an inside cabin. However, on cruises to Alaska, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, etc. we would definitely choose a cabin with a balcony. Only way to go.  Read entire member review.

U 205 was in a good location. Fairly quiet just toward back of ship.

We were in Cabin U44 (inside) on the Upper Deck (Deck 6) in the forward part of the ship. Plenty of room for storage. No hook on the back of the bathroom door. Flat screen television. Comfortable bed. Had a little trouble adjusting the air -- room got COLD quickly. Overall, very satisfied!  Read entire member review.
The suite room was wonderful- great place to congregate for a group of people!  Read entire member review.

V1 was very small with a balcony not big enough to turn around on or hold you arms out without going over the ledge, so don't expect much. Also, V1 is in the front, but everyone who comes up the stairs can look right into your room so spending the extra money isn't worth it. The room service and housekeeping is no more special than any other room on the ship. It wasn't as noisy as some of the lower levels though. Just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Disappointing Ship by brendacarr

Advertised as an obstructed view, but really has a nice view from the room and from the balcony. There are steps outside that access part of the ship and some cabins on Verandah deck can be seen from these stairs, but this cabin is out of that path. 3 closets for hanging clothes, 7 drawers, a couch, a coffee table, a foot stool and twin beds that can be shoved together to create a kingsized bed. There are 2 night tables that have 2 shelves and a lamp.

There is an electrical outlet in the bathroom and a 220 and a 110 outlet under the TV.

The worst part of this room (and maybe throughout this ship), is that there is no climate control in the cabin. There is a vent in the ceiling that you can open and close and that is it. We roasted. It was over 80 degrees in there most of the time.

The cabin is worn and the carpet stained.

Great ship by sappygirl
Cabin was in very front of ship which was a concern for me, but was not bad at all. Did feel some motion but got used to it. Just go up to Lido if you feel queasy. The fresh air helped alot.  Read entire member review.
Adequate - No hair dryer. Fans would be nice since mine was confiscated as a prohibited item. Bed was confortable - bathroom was adequate. Plenty of storage. Location above the bow thrusters was rather loud wake up call.  Read entire member review.

stayed in cabin R153 on 4th floor, location was alright but very noisy not sure from what sounded as though parts of the ship were falling off and metal pipes clanging together all day and night.  Read entire member review.
