We enjoy inside cabin. This one was nice sized. We like the bigger shower in this cabin (bigger than other showers on other cruise lines). Nice spacious room for an inside cabin. Read entire member review.
Cabin 7160. Quiet location on an inner hallway with not much foot traffic. Only a brisk 30 second walk from the forward elevators. This cabin goes fwd to aft, not side to side, so the bed is positioned with your head against the end wall and your feet pointing down the length of the cabin to the bathroom - so both sides of the bed were equally accessable. Lots of creaking in rough seas, but that is to be expected i suppose. Occasionally would hear a door slam - not sure if that was the crew or a nearby cabin. Read entire member review.
Inside cabin sufficient in size, storage sufficient, bathroom tiny but efficient. Quiet location, no annoying noise from the upper deck or hallway. Some cracking noise from ship walls or ceiling while on moderately rough seas. Read entire member review.
Our cabin, 7148, was well-located, convenient to forward elevators, and being on an interior hallway with no walls adjoining other cabins, it was super quiet. The mattress was superbly comfortable, though some taller guests may find it uncomfortably short. At 5'7" my toes hung over the end at the curved corner -- I found that comfortable.
The closet was wonderfully spacious, with lots of hangers but lacked shelves or drawers. The three narrow drawers were far too deep, more so than a suitcase, so half the space was wasted and there was not nearly enough. The only other option was stacking folding clothing in bins over the bed, which was awkward at best, and sometimes required climbing on the bed.
We had only one lounge chair, not the two shown in the photos, and the desk was placed at the foot of the bed, not to the side as in the photos. Thus when the desk chair was in use, for hair drying or computer use, access was blocked to the far side of the bed.
We liked the low light constantly on in the bathroom. That offset the inconvenience of having the switch outside the room (why do most hotels and ships do that? Are they not aware of the legions of pranksters who like to turn it off while someone is in there, or the inconvenience of blasting a room with light and awakening roommates when it's necessary to use the toilet in the middle of the night?)
The night light is a nice touch. We did not see any emergency lighting that would activate in a power outage (something that did happen on another cruise).
The bathroom is awesome, with a huge amount of convenient storage. It lacks only a drying line to be perfect.
In spite of the fact that the room is attractive and perhaps a tiny bit larger than past ones, and the stellar mattress and bathroom, this cabin seemed to be a step down from the ones on the Constellation. Read entire member review.
