Had a Wonderful Time by NotSoRealMcCoy
The room is on the 5th deck, port (left) side, towards the front. It was a quiet location and we really enjoyed the balcony (our first cruise with one). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. It had plenty of closet and storage space (including room enough under the bed to place our suitcases). However, getting into the closets, which are right across from the bathroom, can be a bit awkward at times. You do have to place your ship Id card in a slot near the door to make the lights and TV work, but we eventually figured out that any card of that size can be used (i.e. credit card).  Read entire member review.

Very poor lighting in small closet area. You could not see into the closet without a flashlight. Not much storage room. Great tub/shower combination. Great bed and pillows. We enjoyed opening the deck dividers between our 4 cabins for fun times on the balcony.  Read entire member review.
6179 - Aft balcony, very quiet, never heard our neighbors or anything above our stateroom.  Read entire member review.
Definitely liked cabin 7081. It is near the rear elevators convenient to the Manhattan dining room and the Lido food area.  Read entire member review.
Very quiet location but right behind the aft elevators.  Read entire member review.
Lots of room in this cabin. Three closets with LOTS of hangers. Closets can easily be adjusted to have shelves, or just fold the shelves up to have a longer hanging space. There was a safe in the closet, but we never used it. Bathroom is a decent size. There is a bath-tub, which is great to have the extra space when having a shower. Lots of shelf space around the mirror, and under the sink. We had twin beds, and each bed had it's own end table with a shelf and two drawers. This was very handy for keeping track of all the little stuff. There was a small couch, coffee table, high back chair, and stool that could be opened for storage. Look under the end of the bed, and you'll find a drawer. The drawer will have extra blankets for sitting out on the balcony. This room had a good size flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Still only got a few channels, but we hooked it up to watch some shows we had brought from home. Balcony is a decent, with clear glass so you can see through it when sitting down. There are two plastic wickers chairs, and a small table. Location was very good. Towards the back of the ship, and very close to the elevator. We often took the stairs up to walk off the food. Since its at the back of the ship, you can easily walk down to the main dining room. It was very quiet and we rarely saw anyone in the hallway. Overall we were very happy with the room.  Read entire member review.

Good cabin and balcony. Great Views!. Easy access to Lido Buffet. Easy access to aft pool. Mild rumble from the engine. Long walk to showroom and casino area.

Nice, but not great by Fighting34th
Cabin 7143 is on the stern/aft of the ship almost in the center. It was disappointing in a way as we had booked it to enjoy the wake while relaxing on the balcony. However, it's so high above the wake that the enjoyment is reduced. If this is your intent, I'd recommend booking on a much lower level. BUT, the balcony was significantly larger than those on the port or starboard. So was the stateroom -- it had about 5 extra feet at each end. I liked the decor, but didn't care for the closet arrangement. It's very tight -- a narrow entryway that the room service personnel could just barely navigate. Also, I missed the storage shelves that are typically above or in the corner above the vanity. Many past HA cruisers mentioned this and most agreed that it might be just another cost cutting act.  Read entire member review.
Our room was very nice and for a cruise ship, spacious. We had good closet space. The bathroom was big enough and we had tub/shower unit. We were on the 8th deck toward the front of the ship and our views were incredible. The people next door were noisy a couple of nights but were quiet after 11 pm. We were right adjacent to the elevators for the front of the ship but that never did create a noise problem. It also made it easy to get down to the floor for dining or the showroom or casino. We only one deck away from the Lido so it was an easy walk for breakfast. Our room steward was excellent. Actually the best one we have had on any of our cruises.  Read entire member review.
A mixed bag. by Aussiepair
We were in cabin 8090 on level 8. The cabin was small but comfortable with the only negative being the occasional noise from the Lido Deck above us.  Read entire member review.
Nice bathroom. Room was small. Very hard to navigate with two people.  Read entire member review.
Only negative to this stateroom was that it was below the pool deck and almost every morning about 6:30 you heard chairs scrape.  Read entire member review.
We were assigned cabin 8144, a deluxe verandah, category VA. The cabin was on the port side of the ship on the Navigation Deck, deck 8. The cabin is located directly below the aft pool deck and can get a bit noisy. It didn't bother us much, but for the more noise sensitive folks out there, you may not want this room. You could hear heavy footed people, people dragging chairs, the band, and the cleaning crew. The room was kept very clean, but seemed to be showing its age a bit. We had amble storage for all our luggage, clothes, and gear. Remember to look under the foot of the bed for two large drawers and room to store luggage under the head of the bed. If you find things already in the drawers or under the bed, ask the room steward and he will gladly remove them for you. The rooms have a strange energy saving device by the door. You have to put your room key into a slot to turn on the power to the room. No card, no lights! The only thing that operates without your key are the reading lamps on either side of the bed. Good idea to bring a power strip to plug in more than two items.  Read entire member review.
8157 Close to the lido pool, great spot for the blues cruise!  Read entire member review.

Our cabin 8125 was great - easy one level up to Lido for hot water, tea or coffee, easy elevator ride to Manhattan restaurant. Good bit of walk to the front where the theatre, the library and the Internet cafe/explorer lounge, but it is OK since we did not check out library books every day, and we had a lap top in our room. We were located close to the elevators and thus very convenient. Fortunately, only 2 or 3 occasions that we heard people talking. Overall, great location.  Read entire member review.
What A Ride...!! by 1aCruise4wks
The cabin was not well-lit. When you walk in the door, there are closets on the right and the bathroom on the left. There is one recessed light at the doorway. It is great for looking in that first closet but, because it is recessed, it doesn't provide light for the other closets. Most of the lighting in the cabin was recessed which made for a lot of shadows. The verandah was a nice size but there was no lounge chair. Instead, we had one nice chair and one small straight back chair. The beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of storage space, a nice sized tub and a great shower.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 7143 is a VA Cabin that has an aft-view. It provides some great views on sail-away but is very noisy on the balcony due to the props. The prop noise makes it difficult to hold a conversation or to take a nap. The interior of the cabin is adequate but more storage and closet space is needed for extended voyages. There is very little drawer space or places to store luggage. If you don't mind the constant noise on the balcony from the props this cabin is a good choice. To be fair, you can't hear the props inside the cabin.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin the first week was a huge disappointment. A VA with veranda. Less storage than the Maasdam's Veranda cabins and the beds were very hard. Not anything like the original HAL mattresses. The biggest disappointment was that in cabin 7094 there was a horrible burning smell that come to find out, is a KNOWN flaw in the ships design and the kitchen exhaust fumes leach out directly to this stateroom and at least one other stateroom. We were told that there is no fix that they can do because its under warranty still and they have to get the original ship builders to do it. I would not recommend anyone booking this room or anywhere near it till they get that fix. It made both my hubby and I sick. After the front office skirted the issue for 4 days we finally got through to the supervisor who then told us we could sleep in another lower graded cabin 1094. This cabin was better on not making me sick from fumes but was not cleaned well or matained well. It also had more space to store things, not that we packed anything to bring down with us. We only slept in that cabin. Our things remained in cabin 7094. Also just so you know. 7094 is across from the stewards cleaning supply closet. It was very busy during morning and evening hours but quiet the rest of the time.  Read entire member review.
Seven Glorious Days! by HALcruiser2
Aft cabin was a little shaky at times, but relatively quiet. No clock in the room and minimal drawer space, but plenty of room in the closets. Shower is combination bathtub/shower which was very nice.  Read entire member review.
The cabin on Deck five was not bad.Sometimes we did smell food.Lido was not that far from our side.Banging noise many nights. The lights in the cabin are poor.Specially near the closet.  Read entire member review.
Rooms smaller than expected - good balcony location - great view - hallway noisy because too many very young kids on first half of trip - had to call security three times - they were very slow to respond - insufficient house phones throughout the ship - had to search all over for a phone to call security. Very inconvenient if you needed to call your room from afar. None (working) near pools or restaurants. Many people (workers) in buffet room not savvy as to ship places. Need to have coffee and something small to eat 24 hours a day somewhere. Computer time extremely expensive. No allowance to "get on" (time purchased). Next time I'll bring my own computer. $0.75 a minute is outrageous. Never had to pay that much on RCL. The Pinnical Grill was absolutely super despite the added cost - well worth the money. Service was better than most Las Vegas fine dining restaurants on the strip.  Read entire member review.
