The only negative thing I can come up with is the size of bathrooms, toilets and showers being a bigger guy 250+ was a little tight, but I am a bit overweight and only gives me incentive to lose a few lbs for our next cruise.... Read entire member review. |

- We had a forward balcony cabin, 6166, and it was very nice. It was a D8 cabin and we had the bed by the balcony door. I did not find this cabin smaller as some say but rather it felt wider but not long. The wall bumped out at the foot of the bed so you could walk around it easier. And the balcony felt to be of good size. The bathroom is oriented different but the shower felt larger than on the Liberty and the addition of the foot bar in the shower made shaving the legs inside the shower possible. The storage inside the bathroom was nice, too, plenty of space for his and hers toiletries. Our attendant, Lidia from Costa Rica, was always around and very attentive and got more of a tip from us. Oh yeah, they don't put ice service in cabins anymore, you have to request it now but Lidia always kept our ice stocked once I asked her. I thought the location of this cabin was very close to the gym and the entertainment portion of the ship (showroom, night clubs, casino, etc.). But we were far from the dining room and Windjammer. We were near stairs and elevator, Boardwalk was on the same deck and Central Park was only 2 decks above. The only annoying thing was the kids running up and down hallways, thump thump thump. We liked being aft but a cabin closer to the elevator would have been better. It was a quiet location and we had no issues. Read entire member review. |

Very long walk back down hall since it's second from the end of the ship - good if you want the exercise! No noise issues. Read entire member review. |

Our cabin was very quiet. I loved the location. Never noisy at all. Nothing really blocked our balcony view in this cabin except for a partial blockage from a small barrel type object. Didn't feel like I was hampered at all in my view and I like to be able to look down directly to the water next to the ship. I loved our cabin. Read entire member review. |

We had a standard balcony cabin. Very good location on Deck 6 right by the elevator and the Boardwalk. Real problem was a very small safe. Read entire member review. |

Cabin had a good amount of storage space except for one suitcase. The other fit one the bed fine. The shower is tight but manageable. We did tend to bump into each other, but we didn't really spend too much time in the room. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 7686, D8 oceanview/balacony - large enough for two people, very efficient, plenty of storage, bags fit under bed. Closet had shelves and plenty of hangers. Could have used a magnifying mirror (for seniors), otherwise a great cabin. Balcony very nice with two chairs and a regular table. Read entire member review. |

Room was at the back of the ship on deck 7 (7724) which we weren't a fan of originally, but we didnt mind the extra walking (after all that food!) And it was a very quiet location. Never heard anyone else. Nice and relaxing. Also at the back of the 7th floor theres a secret door you can take at the end of the hallway where the staterooms are which takes you to the rock climbing area which leads to the boardwalk/jogging track. Nice shortcut if ur in that area :) We found it very useful! (found it on like day 4 lol) Read entire member review. |

8560, D8: well designed, but feel that the bed tables should have drawers; bed was by the balcony; good closet space with good shelving; small safe; overall good storage including several hooks, storage area near cabin door, and (limited) drawers, but bed tables need at least one drawer/cabinet instead of shelves; several outlets (location: desk, under desk, behind bed); iPod docking station for two; roomy balcony with comfortable chairs and dining height table; near stairs/elevator and Central park

Excellent location very close to the elevators/stairway. This saved a lot of walking. No noise. Deck 8 had Dazzles and Central Park so this is a huge benefit on choosing this cabin. This location allows you to use the stairway to get to most areas without having to suck up a bottle of oxygen when finished. Bed was near balcony, adequate storage and comfy beds. Very highly recommended. Read entire member review. |

Our room was on the 9th floor, 9154. Excellent location, close to elevators, quiet. Take the stairs down one floor to Central Park. Except for the smoking on the balconies by others it would have been perfect. Read entire member review. |

Our cabin was great. We love balcony cabins so we can enjoy the wonderful sunlight, the view and the fresh air. We do not like air conditioning. The evenings were wonderful with the full moon shining in the sliding balcony door. We were happy with our cabin and the layout. Read entire member review. |

Balcony cabin was fine. Terrace was nice to have. The cold water in the bathroom was warm but I live in So Florida. It is the same way here until Nov/Dec. You have warm or hot water from the taps.
The only bad thing was that the walk to the elevators seemed endless. I wanted more channels on the TV and clean towels everyday. I am not all that eco friendly. Still, I don't think that a clean towel or 2 everyday is too much to ask for. We did ask for this and the room boy complied. We also asked them to change the sheets halfway through, which they did. Our cabin was well laid out, functional and the extra space from the bathroom redesign was a welcome treat. Closet was spacious although disappointed with the reduction in the safe. Love the extra outlets. Beds were comfortable and pillows are better than in the past. Balcony was spacious and like the new partitions between cabins. Sliding door is also better than previous ships. Loved our location in the aft as it was close to everything we wanted - just an elevator ride up or down. Read entire member review. |

The cabin was fine. We loved having the bed near the balcony. The temperature in the room was easy to regulate, the air was quiet and did not dry us out. The room was quiet, no squeaks, no hallway noises. Read entire member review. |

Comparing this cabin to other cabins on the other Royal line, this room looked cheaply built. Drawers fell out of the 'bedroom' dresser when opened. Light was falling out of the shower. Both the bathroom and cabin area had significant less storage and this includes the closet safe. Very dissapointed in the quality of this room given the amount of money we paid for the cruise. Had a stateroon balcony located starboard bow, upper level.
DON"T open cabin door if hallway door is open, all your stuff will blow into then down the hallway.
Shower coffin is too small for my 5'11, 170lbs body.
Closet doors fell of tracks, balcont partitions rattle in the wind, handle to balcony door fell apart in my hand, no air at night.
Make sure you slam door, or cabin is not locked Read entire member review. |
