Balcony Cabins 43 Reviews
Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.

Lovely Cabin, comfortable bed, lots of room. Loved the balcony. Spent a lot of time on it. Was on the Upper Deck in a 6200 balcony cabin. The walls were VERY thin and heard people walking past all hours of the day and night and heard the sounds from the cabins on each side quite clearly.

It was our first balcony room, and we are definitely hooked. The room did seem a little warm when the sun was facing our room, but even with the sheer curtain closed it stayed tolerable. With the blackout curtain closed it was very comfortable.

6321 is over the casino and slot machines, and they can be heard. But only if the room is completely silent. When I had my fan going I caught a faint noise that I really had to listen for. Even then I couldn't tell if it was really the casino or if I was just thinking it was the casino. If the TV or music was on and even on very low it wasn't audible. The people in the other balconies were far louder than the casino noise. The layout of the balcony rooms is far better than the interior, though I did need a cord cover for the extension cord for my CPAP machine so that I didn't have to take it up every day. On previous cruises I was just able to lay the cord along the wall and tape it in a few spots.

I'm sure the room attendant appreciated the cord cover since he didn't have any trouble cleaning and the covered stayed down with the double sided tape that was included.

Carry On Dreaming by IlkleyGal
Cabin was fine, plenty of storage, good size shower room. Quality bed and bedding. Quiet. Good balcony. Overlooked one the spa pools so felt a bit of privacy was lost and the noise drifting up to us was such that we could hear every word of conversations being held in the pool but this didn't bother us too much.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 6363, great location, near elevators (not noisy), nice balcony and always clean. Had small problem with closet door and sink plug, let room steward know on the way out for lunch and it was fixed upon return.

Our Balcony Cabin (6403) was on sixth floor overlooking Promenade deck only problem was there are two lanai`s on each side of boat and one of them was directly in front of our balcony, so during the day if you just wanted to relax on your balcony and fill the breeze and gaze at the ocean you had a lanai full of people staring at you.  Read entire member review.
We ended up on deck 6 which I was afraid would be very loud since it was right above whirlpools, the casino, and other common areas on deck 5. I was armed with earplugs and music devices just in case the noise from below was bad. I am happy to say that the noise did not bother us at all and deck 6 was not a problem for us. We were happy with the cabin and our steward who kept the cabin clean, made up the room early, and turned down the bed while we were out for dinner. The balconies do overlook deck 5 as has been mentioned by other reviewers but we did not find that to be a problem. My wife actually liked it because if a child fell off the balcony, he would land on the deck below and not the ocean. She always worries about a child falling over the balcony on cruises.  Read entire member review.
Nice size cabin but thin walls. Can hear everything around you. Balcony looks over the Lanai, promenade and a hot tub. May be noisy and smokey. Balcony seemed small. Would not want this location for a cruise in warm weather.  Read entire member review.
We were in room 6407. I thought the closet space was more than enough. The balcony was great, always really windy though. There were big wooden hangers in the closet, and not enough of them. I double hung things on the same hanger. They could have used cheaper, thinner hangers and given us more. It really turned out fine though. Very rarely, except the last night had any hallway noise. The cabin doors are extremely heavy and you did hear them closing occasionally.  Read entire member review.
Great balcony with sufficient storage space. A little crowded for three (especially around the doorway), but it is a ship.  Read entire member review.

Nice room. Only problem was it was aft, would rather have had a mid

Another wonderful trip! by Cruisersauraus

Awesome location. Close to back of ship where most of our activities were, but quiet at night for sleeping.
Drawers next to closet need repair. Hard to open and close.

Standard balcony cabin, there was some noise from the Calentie disco. Overlooking the promenade deck but no noise from the seating area set out 2 or 3 cabins to our left looking out  Read entire member review.

We were in 6438, cabin is right above Caliente which is horribly loud in the room until the wee hours of the morning. Also, we experienced exhaust fumes in this room several times as well. Nothing was ever resolved.

Go for the FUN of it. by Kite Wizard
#6440. Comfortable and pretty well laid out. Our cabin had a pretty small balcony that overlooked the Promenade (not objectionable if you like to people watch). The balcony door is hinged, not sliding, and slams easy when there's wind. Closets were roomy. Nice bathroom with functional shower. Plenty of new towels. The couch gave us room to lay out clothes and the desk was large. Unfortunately or cabin was almost right above the Dance Club and the loud beat was hard to ignore. So was the slamming of cabin and balcony doors that went on into the night. It's not the fault of the passengers but the ship designers not having door checks on the mechanism. TV shows and free movies in the room was welcome. So were two fluffy bathrobes to use. CABINS TO AVOID: Cat. 8B (Balcony) and 4D (Inside) on Deck 6 between midship elevators and aft elevators (roughly #6382-6452 port side and #6365-6439 starboard side). These are right over the Ocean Plaza and Caliente Dance Clubs where the music is loud until 3 AM.  Read entire member review.

Best Vacation by kumar555
Ours is a great stateroom located on the best floor of the ship, floor 7. The stateroom is very calm no noise what so ever, closet space is adequate.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was near elevators at the atrium, which was VERY convenient. Some noise filtered in from the atrium but all was quiet by midnight. Cabin was spacious and quazi clean. Plenty of storage space! Beds were comfy. No complaints at all on room.

Great location. Only con was view below was of some tanks but didn't bother us. Very spacious, tons of storage. Bring hangers. Not many provided. Beds super comfy. Family of four fit fine. No ship noises. There was a squeeking at door that got on nerves but not bad.

In a word - Bland by Pappy5591

Well located to access the Lido Deck "Gathering" dining room on the 10th floor. Actually liked the location, since it forced us to do a bit of walking. No noise concerns at all (except for fellow passengers). Tiny TV monitor. Balcony a bit small. Bathroom was fine. No odors or other smells of concern.

7456: Fantastic Balcony (extended). Quiet, decent size, a shower you can fit in. Really could use a chair to sit in, but sadly you have only the bed to use and a small makeup stool.  Read entire member review.
Carnival Dream by susie12
Cabin stewards were awesome. Kept our room clean and called us by name. Bed was comfortable king size bed, good sheets and pillows but small bathroom no tub. Dinner waiter was lots of fun, great to talk to and provided excellent service.  Read entire member review.
Probably as good as it gets in this class. No noise from facilities above or below (eg gym, kitchen, etc). Adjoins with 8224, can open both interroom door as well as balcony connection, though the pin to keep the balcony separator fastened broke off on the last day and so we had to close it. Water in shower did not drain well, despite maintenance call to fix it. Drawer beneath couch that holds pull out bed did not fully close.  Read entire member review.
Great cabin, far enough from common areas to cut down on noise, but close enough to be convenient. Typical Carnival room...if you stick a shoe in your balcony door at night, you can sleep to the sound of the ocean (I know, you're supposed to keep it closed, but still... I'm just sayin'....).  Read entire member review.
Balcony cabin between two passenger decks. Very quiet when time for a nap or a good night's sleep. Plenty of storage space. Close enough to the elevators to make it is to get around, yet far enough away so you do not hear any public noise. Room overlooks one of the cantilevered whirlpools one deck below. Close to Lido, only 2 decks up and you're literally standing in the Gathering to get morning coffee or a snack.  Read entire member review.
The cabin was roomy. Flat screen tv. I thought the beds were comfy, my boyfriend does not agree. But DO NOT BOOK BALCONY CABIN 9337 on the 9th deck or anywhere near. The Lido deck was right above and it was ridiculous how loud it was. I'm not a complainer, but I really want to speak to Carnival about this.  Read entire member review.

Really liked the Cove Balcony rooms on the 2nd floor. We were in the middle of the ship which was convenient to two elevators and very convenient to the dining rooms and main decks. Loved our roomy balcony and the spaciousness of the room itself. The layout was good and lots of storage even in the bathroom. Nice long counter outside the bathroom for putting on makeup. Great location for the TV and the bed and couch was comfortable. Balcony had two chairs and an end table but werent roomy enough for 2 loungers...too bad. But that is normal for most ships.  Read entire member review.

My cabin was a decent size. Great balcony, Closets were good except they do not give you enough hangers for all of your clothes. I always make sure my travel agent gets me a room away from the elevators because my husband is a light sleeper.  Read entire member review.
