Oceanview stateroom with a window and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
This cabin has the benefit of a second bathroom, consisting of a sink and a junior tub/shower. Nice to have 2 showers. We enjoyed having the window to look out of, especially while navigating through the oil platforms as we went through the gulf near the Mississippi delta. There is a small amount of noise in the main bathroom due to there being a mixing valve located behind the shower/toilet area. We were curious as to the gurgling noise so we looked at the door next to ours and it was an access door for some type of valve. Not a nuisance, just commenting. There were four closets, which was very nice as there were three of us. We had a king size bed and a couch that doubled as a twin bed. No complaints at all with the room. As usual, our room steward was very good and met our requests quickly. The room was very convenient to the Encore Lounge, but was on the other end of the ship from our dining room. Very convenient to the elevators.
Perfect location for quiet and for getting to and from dinner and shows. The ramp for debarking was one floor under us so we walked it with ease. We LOVED the two bathrooms, more for the two sinks than for the tub we never used. We were on Riviera in an ocean view. Big cabin. Plenty of storage room. I am a little tired of Carnival's orange decor. Looks like someone from Target did the room. Do not choose 1220, 1221, 1222 because of phone issues. We were in 1220. The weird cove balconies were not worth the money and main floor has a lot of noise overhead. Read entire member review.
