Accomodation/Stateroom: our ocean view room was very nice and spacious with lots of closet space. We were happy to see the addition of a second shower/sink in the room, however we never used it or opened the door because it had a horrible odour in it, perhaps sewage, but the smell didn't bother us as long as the door was closed. We smelled the sewage smell in the hallway once in awhile but it was mild and dissipated pretty fast. The room steward Henry was great and ensured our room was always in great shape.  Read entire member review.
A Dream of a Cruise by glomarrone
My main complaint was that one could not be using a closet when someone else was trying to access the bathrooms. Passageway is too tight. Loved the two baths, though & the comfortable beds. End tables could use a shelf inside. The one near the window is right up against the bed. Bathrooms could use a night light. Otherwise I was very satisfied with my room. It was very roomy. There were lots of closet space & drawers for us. Would recommend this room because it was very quiet. It has a large window.  Read entire member review.

Great time!!! by cruisefan33

Larger than a normal ocean view. There are two bathroom which really helps when everyone is trying to get ready, but only one toilet. There is a curtain to separate the main sleeping area from the couch area. We loved this room!

We were in Cabin 1401, near elevators but not tooo near to be disturbed by them.

Cabin No. 1419 is conveniently located near the after elevators, astern but not so much that the ships motion is overly noticeable, and mostly quiet (no engine noise or kitchen noises). Size is average, with generous storage for clothing and luggage, and it has TWO -- count 'em, TWO -- bathrooms! an amazing convenience!! View from starboard side is mostly water when in port. If you want a pier-side view, select something on the port side.  Read entire member review.
All the way in the back of the ship, around the corner from the main hallway. Very out of the way and sometimes forgotten about by the crew.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin # 2203 WAS HORRID.. Lousey placement, and design. there is a single bed on Opposing sides of the room, in which.. only 1 bed can see the TV. and that is NO exaggeration. The Worse part of this room is the NOISE.. the waves hit right at this level, and sounds like they have an elephant chained below deck. This cabin is HORRIBLE.. the worst I have even had !!!  Read entire member review.

2262 was a fabuluos location. Close to the elevators but far enouhg so you heard nothing, even in the halls. There was occasional banging form the waves, but overall a great room with a great location!

The cove balcony was the best! It will be hard to stay in any other type of room now. I am completely pleased with the location of the room as well.

Big Closets. Great Balcony. No rescue boat above us. Comfy beds. Good room service. Near the elevators and stairs. Toward the back of the ship. Just overall good location.  Read entire member review.

This balcony room was absolutely heaven at sea, perfectly midship. The room was very quiet, with little motion felt during our trip. The cabin was shielded from the direct sun by the life boats above, but not to be mistaken with being was amazing. No slamming of doors above or below us. We will always choose a cove balcony on ships where they are offered.

Cove balcony was very pleasant and luckily the smell of sewage, often smelled in the hallway, only entered our cabin once.  Read entire member review.
My First Ever Cruise by Domesticdiva66

As a first time cruiser, I wanted the best cabin experience and felt a balcony room would be my best option. It was an awesome choice! Each morning, I was awake around 4:30 -5:00 a.m. and immediately ran outside to the balcony area to enjoy the sounds of the water and the peace. Around 6 a.m. I would order coffee from room service and enjoy it on the balcony. PURE HEAVEN

Great room. Low enough to see the beautiful color of the water and the occassional dolphin and flying fish. Hidden bed is in ceiling and is lowered by steward at turn down on day 1 (if needed) and remains lowered the entire trip unless requested otherwise. Very pleased with this room.

We stayed in a cove balcony (Cabin # 2361). It was fabulous and I highly recommend getting one. It provided such a nice refuge from the business of the ship. Loved sitting out there and seeing the water, stars, coming into port, ocean breeze at night & having coffee there in the morning. The down side of the rooms on this ship was that you could hear noise from people in the hallway and you could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. This did have a door to an adjoining room where our grandchildren & children stayed so I'm not sure it that is why we could hear so much of the noise. Rooms were spotless. A few times we had to call to have them come clean & had a maintenance problem with the shower not draining, but they came very quickly to resolve it. Plenty of storage, comfy beds & fluffy comforters & pillows. They provided bathrobes, pool towels, shower soap, hand soap & shampoo which was nice.  Read entire member review.

Room was fine, but the balcony was off limits due to work for 3 of our 7 days. Paint chips everywhere on balcony, never cleaned off.

A good cruise, but not great. The ship layout was poor. I can’t believe they would build this fairly new ship and not have a more open, easy layout. Colors did not blend, no theme. Overall, it gives a crowded appearance. Stateroom was adequate and average. Staff and crew were friendly. Cruise director was good, liked him better as the week went on.

Cabin 2415 is right under the galley, but noise was minimal.  Read entire member review.
It was close to the laundry area and that was nice. YOu did hear something banging at night but it never lasted that long and it never bothered me!  Read entire member review.

Cove balconies are very nice. Cozy and private, and shady from the lifeboats above. This cabin was very quiet, even though it was under the galley. Felt a little warm at times, but was overall very comfortable. Was also a great location in the back. Up the elevators and directly to anything we wanted to do. Will always book a Cove Balcony if I can!

We stayed in room 2454 & had a bit of a walk to get to most places, but we are in good shape & after all the food we ate, didn't mind the walk! VERY quiet. Never had to deal with any noise above us or below us or even noise outside the cabin in the halls. We weren't in the cabin much so this interior cabin was perfect, we didn't feel crowded or claustrophobic at all. I would recommend this room.

This was the best part of our cruise. A nice, large cabin for the money. Excellent bedding. Fabulous bathroom. Very quiet.  Read entire member review.
Interior room towards back bottom of ship. Very little rocking or movement. Not too far from the elevators, and close to "Scarlet" dining room just a quick trip up the steps one floor. Far away from the "Encore" theatre. Worst thing about this cabin: When porting, entire room shakes and vibrates violently and wakes you up early in the morning. This is especially bad with a hangover! Storage: Really awesome - 3 huge closets; 2 with hangers (limited number of hangers - about 6 per closet so you might want to bring some of your own as room service won't bring any more) and the other closet with lots of shelves. Desk has 5 large drawers and two small nightstands store something small. Beds are high enough to stuff luggage underneath. Lots of shelves built into the mirror in bathroom allow for plenty of toiletry storage. Two single beds can be either pushed together to make one large bed or can be separated with beds on sides of walls with night stands in the middle. Flat-screen TV mounted from ceiling over safe cabinet. Medium sized safe is free to use and works great. Lighting is very good in these rooms. Entire room design very well thought out and very nice. Florescent lighting takes a bit to turn on. Switches also located near beds for convenient shutting off. Artwork inside room is tacky like the rest of the ship. Single beds are somewhat uncomfortable and small, pillows are nice and fluffy and there are two extra pillows located in bottom of stateroom closet for a total of 6. Large bottles of water The minibar was locked when we checked into our room, which was fine because I wanted to avoid the temptation of spending all that extra money. Staterooms also include two nice terrycloth robes which you can take out of your room to walk to the pool or hot tub in. You can also take these home for $34 (If I remember right), but who has room in their suitcase?!  Read entire member review.

Not a Dream by cruisinisgood
Lots of storage space for two ladies traveling. Problem with shower overflowing frequently. Had pool in bathroom after each shower. There was good water pressure, but we tried to reduce the flow to keep the flood away, but it didn't work. Balcony tight, we had a third chair put out there for the third person in our party who had the inside stateroom right across from us, 6309 (very small and clostrophobic for me, I would never go inside). Door opened out, so it made it hard to get in and out because it was very heavy. On other cruise lines I've had sliders, which make it much easier to get in and out. Soundproofing of staterooms seems to be non-existant. Heard all the noise in other rooms, bathroom, hallway.  Read entire member review.

Cabin # 6334, 6336 Both cabins were over the casino which was noisy when trying to go to sleep. In addition, cabin 6334 was noisy with creaking noise when the ship would flex. Also on 6334 it was above the outside hot tub so if you were looking out the balcony people in the hot tub always though you were staring at them.

CABIN: 6402: is where the issues begin. I booked this cruise directly through a Carnival agent about 10 months prior to sailing. Hubby and I are not very picky, we just want a non-obstructed balcony cabin, away from smokers and quiet. We prefer mid-ship, but otherwise no preferences. Imagine my surprise upon arriving to our cabin, opening the drapes and finding the walking deck and cantilever hot tub and outside smoking area directly below!! The folks were using the steps on the hot tub to elevate themselves to peer into our cabins! Hubby and I decided, oh well, we aren't going to let it ruin our cruise and went on to explore the rest of the ship. Upon returning to our cabin around 10:30pm, we were greeted with loud, vibrating music, coming through the floor from the lounge below! This continued until 1 am EVERY NIGHT of our cruise! Hubby did speak with someone at the customer service desk, but essentially was told there wasn't anything that could be done. My complaint is that at no time was I informed that our balcony would not have privacy and that we would possibly be subjected to loud music until 1 am! I strongly feel that these cabins should be a reduced rate, and treated like an obstructed view and at the very least, CARNIVAL should disclose these issues at the time of booking.  Read entire member review.

I would NOT recommend the stateroom we were in as it was right above the hot tub and blocked the view of the ocean. The only saving grace was that the hot tub didn't open until 9 am and closed at 9 pm so it wasn't loud during morning and evening hours. It was also right above the ocean plaza lounge which we occasionally heard music but didn't keep us up at night.

Meh by O&P Cruiser
It was a traditional balcony room that has 4 beds. I hated being across from the loud, early rising crew members. Also, my cabin was directly above one of the smoking sections making the balcony unusable. Lesson learned for the next cruise.  Read entire member review.

July on the Dream by WaitingOnSummer

We were in balcony room 6440 directly above the Lanai deck on the port side (very low traffic on port side of the Lanai). We really enjoyed the room. We did come prepared and had a small fan with us, it helped big time to move the air in the room and cool it off. If you are cruising in July or August it’s going to be warm even with the AC on high so be prepared. Although we both agreed it was disappointing we were unable to look directly down into the water, the “people-watching” was just as entertaining. We didn't feel like our privacy was compromised in our room at all, people can’t see into your room from the Lanai, trust me we checked for ourselves!
Also at night we found that you could hear the bass from the deck below it wasn't so bad we couldn't sleep. My suggestion is if you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs.

We had a aft extended balcony which was wonderful. Room was tucked in the aft and was very private. The room was spacious, fantastically laid out. The best room we have had to date. When we docked it became a little noisy. However, I liked this because we never missed an arrival in the port.  Read entire member review.
The cabin was okay. No chair like on RC, but didn't have to climb over bed to move around. Closets were a bit smaller; Issue with safe - very inconvenient. Bed linens very comfortable. Towels were cheap towels and thin for a new ship.  Read entire member review.

GS 7284---This room is lovely & quiet. The layout is very user friendly. You can lay in your bed and enjoy the view through the big windows. There's a very nice sofa for watching TV and also two comfy chairs. The balcony is big. There are two chairs & a small table and also a lounger. There are three closets with lots of hangers and also shelf space for your shoes, purses, etc. There are plenty of drawers to store your clothes, cameras, and other gear. There's a complete selection of glasses for the wine, champagne, & beverages that you brought on board. The bed was very comfortable. The vanity area is super handy because ladies, you can put on make-up, etc, will hubby or children are in the bathroom. The bathroom is very large and the tub is a lovely treat. I brought bubble bath with me and enjoyed a bubble bath on two evenings. It's super relaxing as the ship moves along. Book this room---you won't be disappointed.

Nothing To Worry About by papaoffive13
We always choose an inside cabin. We found our cabin to be the same as other Carnival ships. Very comfortable beds. Plenty of space for clothes, shoes, bathroom items, etc. We asked our cabin steward to remove the bathrobes as we don't use them and they take away closet space. We did hear our neighbors beside us in their cabin which we don't ever remember hearing on any other ship but it wasn't a problem at all. Great cabin......very comfortable......  Read entire member review.
Dream Cruise by FreddyFunFunFun
Our cabin was small but sufficient. There were 3 closets so we had enough space to hang all of our things without needing any extra coat hangers. The bathroom had shelves along the mirror so we had no storage issues there either. There were not a lot of hooks only 2 on the bathroom door and 2 in the main room but it wasn't a huge deal. Our suitcases fit fine under the bed. The only time it was loud was during debarkation since we docked at around 630 AM and the announcements pretty much never stopped. A lot of the reviews said there was a sewerage smell but we never experienced that.  Read entire member review.

This stateroom is on the Port side and mid-ship. It was a great cabin for a family of 4. We were above one of the hot tubs on the Lanai and it's true that you can hear some conversation while on the balcony, but not much. We had no issues with smelling cigarette smoke. There was ample storage space with multiple drawers and closets. The balcony was bigger than the average balcony room and we loved the double sinks and full jet tub with shower. The tub definitely came in hand for our 6 and 4 year old. Our room attendant was amazing and left great towel animals for our children. He always greeted us when seeing us in the hallway.

Cabin 7360. Suite. Roomy, vast storage. Balcony should be larger with table for a suite. Quite, mid ship is an advantage on such a large ship. Great bathroom.... one reason we booked a suite.  Read entire member review.

Room 7440. It was pretty quiet both in the room and on the balcony. The view was great as well, no decks/lifeboats showing. Didn't feel much motion in there either. Our cabin was connected to the cabin next to us by a door and we could hear a little talking through it, but our neighbors were quiet so it hardly posed a problem. That may not always be the case though.  Read entire member review.
Loved the Dream by rustymerle
Provided in review, but repeated here. CABIN: We were on deck 7, aft balcony, 7465. I had obsessively researched cabins, locations, etc. This cabin was larger as previously reported. There was more than enough storage even with a little over packing?. There was storage under the couch we did not need or use. Balcony was extended with a slight covering not much. Going south we had lots of sun in the afternoon/evening; going north, lots of great shade in the afternoon evening. Be aware that because we are at the back of the ship, soot regularly appeared on the balcony. The room stewards swept/mopped the deck and wiped the chairs every morning and evening. If you go out on the balcony in between cleanings, just be sure to wipe off the chairs and wear shoes. Also, the decking gets VERY hot. The balcony was wonderful. We sat out there many, many hours and there were several nights I thought I could sleep out there it was so comfortable. There is a window seat inside the cabin that is great for drying clothes/bathing suits and storing items like binoculars. As mentioned before, be careful leaving clothes out to dry on the balcony due to the possibility of soot and Carnival asks passengers not to put clothes on the balcony due to safety reasons. I am guessing it is because of the risk of someone flicking a cigarette on your balcony and catching your towel or clothes on fire. Room stewards: Susila ("Sushi") and Michael (We called him "Sushimi" before we knew his name). Michael was rotating off for his 2 month vacation at the end of the cruise. Both were outstanding and very accommodating. We tipped Susila the first day (as we typically do), and then slipped Michael the same later in the week. We also always bring a collapsible cooler (approximately 12" by 12"). The room stewards kept the cooler filled with ice. The room had a little creaking going on even in very calm waters. Not sure what that was all about, but not a problem. A/C controls are right outside the bathroom. Bathroom - plenty of shelves for our toiletries, although I stored my hair dryer in the closet. Note: Hair dryers are provided, but since we drove to Port Canaveral, I decided to bring my own. Shampoo, liquid and bar soap provided. "Goodie" basket included a great 5 blade razor, pepcid AC (which came in handy), conditioner, lotion, and a few other small items. I like to bring a bar of soap, but the items provided seem to be good. Shower - no tub, but plenty of room. Water in the shower may be a bit soft. Not sure. Again, not a problem, just a note for reference. "Off" and "On" for the shower may be a little tricky if you have not seen it before. The right knob is the temperature and is "locked", but may be changed to your preference by pushing the button and adjusting. I found the default, the beige "38" (?) temperature to be good for me. To turn on the water, turn the knob on the left by twisting up (counterclockwise). Reverse for shutting off. Don't let the little metal bumps on the knob fool you. They are just for gripping, not for water adjusting. TV: The local stations are Miami rather than Colorado. Definitely a welcomed change since the last time we cruised. Not sure if this change is just the Dream or all Carnival ships. As recently as December 2010, the TV channels featured Colorado as the local stations. Nothing against Colorado. But at least Miami is closer to the Caribbean. Beds: My husband said this was one of the most comfortable beds he has slept on. Since he travels regularly, that was quite a glowing comment. It seems bed comfort is a very individual thing as well. The pillows were great. We always get a couple of extra pillows. I loved the duvet. Very comfy. Note: The bed is a little bit higher than other Carnival ships we have been on and makes it easier to slip the suitcases underneath.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8266 was nice. The closet space was very good and the higher beds we good for storing you luggage under the beds. The bath rooms were good and the stand up shower was nice. 8343, was what I expected. The balcony was nice. I liked the little cosmetic freebees they had in the bathroom (razor, breathe right, body wash, etc). The beds were comfy, though I found the pillows hard. Our room steward was very efficient but quiet. He didn't introduce himself ever, but he did his job well. Prior to our trip I read some reviews that said their staterooms were noisy. We didn't experience that, though sometimes I heard the elevators chiming. We didn't hear much, though from time to time we heard chairs scraping the floor from above. We never heard anyone in the hot tub or walkways down on the 5th floor. We had no air conditioning the entire cruise. I am writing this to warn anyone booked on the Dream that they may have the same problem as we spoke to a number of people who did. When we boarded the ship last Sunday, our cabin was hot. The air conditioning vent cover had been removed and it was under the dresser. Carnival had to be aware of the problem and should not have put us in the room.

Carnival Dream 8469 by karaokecruisr
Stateroom was very nice. We were concerned about the size because we had heard mixed reviews about these aft cabins with longer balconies, but we thought it was plenty big by cruise standards. True, there is no couch, but we never just "sit" in the cabin anyway so I preferred having the larger balcony to sit on. The balcony has a deck chair, small table and regular chair. There is a long hallway into the cabin, which was nice because I think it insulated us from any hallway noise. I would book this cabin again. One word of caution for those prone to seasickness - being so far back on the ship can prove to be interesting in rough seas. We had two days of choppy water, and bounced around pretty well! Our cabin steward was WONDERFUL, by the way. I have pictures, but unsure how to post!  Read entire member review.
A great time, but... by matthewthompson87

8472 is an aft-facing balcony. The balcony is larger than regular balconies, and it has 1 lounge chair, a very small table, and two adjustable-back chairs.

The decks above are tapered, so the balcony (and balcony door to the stateroom) is always in direct sun. It made our room too hot to have the curtains open during a Caribbean cruise. Further, when standing on the back half of the balcony, you are in plain sight of those standing at the rail above you on the Lido deck, visible from the promenade below, and (as with standard balconies) your neighbors on both sides... we like a little more privacy on our balcony.

It seems a lot of people covet the wake-view cabin, but we would not book this cabin again.

The room itself wasn't too bad. It has a foldout couch that we didn't use and balcony good for looking out the back of the ship. There was only 2 electrical outlets in the room, kinda. There is one in the main room by the mirror and one in the bathroom. However I believe that you could unplug your TV if you really wanted to plug stuff in; tablets, phones, external batteries... Now the huge problem: the AC did not work properly. The room was hot. I called in twice and was basically told that they would check it but have no idea if they ever actually did. I actually borrowed a fan from a maintenance room to use at night... which is nuts because you wake up sweaty/sticky with a fan blowing on you. The room was uncomfortable during the day with the heat from the sun coming in. We even kept the curtains closed so then you don't get the view that you pay for dearly for...

9205- beautiful suite, tons of room and closet space however because of the location front right side when the ship hits a wave you think the floor is falling in your room. Our Winter Warmer cruise by Alison Whittlestone
All in all, excellent inside cabin. We had an inside cabin on the 9th deck. We chose not to choose a cabin prior to sailing, but chose to go for a guaranteed inside. We found ourselves on the 9th deck. Next one up was the Lido deck. The cabin was, as per the Glory, spacious, the king size bed extremely comfortable, the bedding, wish I could have brought it home with me -it was lovely. The bathroom was as per all bathrooms I have been on on cruise ships, adequate. Spotlessly clean - thanks to our cabin steward. Plenty of space for clothes, excellent lighting, television placed so you could see it easily from the bed or dressing table. We did not find the hallway noisy. However, the early morning announcements could hardly be heard clearly when cabin door was closed.  Read entire member review.
i had read this on a review not to book room forward and they were correct. We heard the waves crashing against the ship each night and the ship was very rocky but i talked to other cruisers on the island and their ships were rocky too. On lady thought it is the way the newer ships are made. Therefore we might go back to cruising the older ships.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was nice. The balconies had a door. The doors were quiet. I could go without waking up my parents. Yes, I said that because I was 13 when I got on. The problems was that there was one plug. Another one was that it was hot and almost everytime I woke up, I was sweaty.

The room is nice, clean, roomy enough for all 4 of us and has a great view while cruising. This room is basically right under the the walkway out of the "Gathering" buffet onto the Lido deck. This means that you will hear chairs being dragged around anytime from 11pm to 2am while they clean the pool deck. If you are up at this time, it is not a problem....otherwise, you may be irritated. This room is right near the middle elevators. They shut these elevators off to cruisers on the first day and last sea day of the cruise to move luggage...this was bad with a 64 yr old parent who cannot walk long distances very well.  Read entire member review.

My Take on the Dream by DisneyNutMary
Cabin 9396, great location, convenient to the Lido buffet and pools, but midway between two elevator lobbies, so it is very quiet in the hallway. Above and to the side of the Ocean Plaza cigar smoking area and aft lanai whirlpool, so we could hear lots of talking in the early evening and night time hours, but never enough to be a bother. Be aware that this is not the kind of balcony you sit on for quiet solitude, as the Lanai and voices drift up to you.  Read entire member review.

A Dream Vacation by dshefter
Cabin 9474 (aft balcony). Plenty of room. Could get our suitcases underneath the bed. Great water pressure in the shower and temperature control was very easy to use. Balcony was bigger than most because of the location of stateroom. TV lacked ESPN, which was a bummer because it did have ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, CNN, CNN Headline, Cartoon Network...Selection of free movies OK. There were plenty of good selections for pay movies, but did not purchase. Closet could use a few more hangars, but we brought extras from home.  Read entire member review.
Cabin: 9475: Wonderful wrap around balcony. Room was comfortable. BUT NOISY... alot of chairs being dragged on top. Next time we will go a little lower to avoid this noise factor. We had an overhang awning over the balcony that provided complete privacy.  Read entire member review.
Another great cruise by cruisecrazy09

Negatives: Underneath lido deck which can be noisy at times...we found that during the afternoon was the noisiest and early in the morning when they are moving deck chairs around. Also there was one day around 4am that they pressure washed the lido deck, which kept us up for about an hour. Didn't really like the layout of the room and that it was smaller than a normal balcony room.

Positives: We loved that the room was located at the end of the hall and only had 1 neighbor, which made for virtually no noise coming from the hallway. Loved the large, wrap was really great to be able to have such a wide view. Also liked the overhang from the lido deck as this provided shade on our balcony and no one from above could look down onto our balcony like we could look down on the balconies below us. We also liked that it was easy access to get to the aft pool and the buffet restaurant, just up one floor.
Overall, for us the amazing balcony is worth sacrificing some space inside the room. We will definitely book this type of room again in a heartbeat.

No problem with my balcony cabin on deck 10 forward. Nice space and lots of room and good storage space.  Read entire member review.

10268 - By the elevators on the lido deck. Great view. Not as noisy as I was afraid it would be. Easy access to the dining and swimming pools. Great room.

Disappointed by Badbird

Room 10289 an inside cabin, was at the end of the hallway closest to the lido deck doorway leading out to the main pool area. Great location. Can be noisy but this did not bother us. Tons of storage, firm mattress which I like. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room was small but we did not feel cramped.

Carnival Dream Cabin 11201 is a Spa Oceanview Quad Handicap modified cabin. There were four of us and it never seemed crowded. There is plenty of space. 3 closets. 2 had hangers and 1 had shelving. One hairdryer in the desk drawer. The bathroom was spacious with a seat in the shower. You could feel the motion as we had some rough seas. Last night strong winds sounded like a hurricane outside. You could feel the vibrations, the rocking and motion almost all days. 1 day out of 7 I did not feel it. The perfect size room for those who need the space that have electric scooters or wheelchairs or families or those who don't like to feel clausterphobic. Close to spa with private entrance and use of the thalsso pool and steam rooms/thermal suites. 2 bands are provided but they told us at the spa we could share them for the 4 of us. As they are like the live strong bands, rubber and removable. Spa bathrobes and slippers provided and we had a 2nd refill on the spa hair care/lotions etc. Shampoo and shower gel provided also in the shower. We did hear doors slamming a lot, and I think the room stewards carts a few times. We could not hear announcements in the room. Can't really see the TV well from the pull down bed or the couch bed.  Read entire member review.

We were in 11218 however, we were woken up the first two mornings by the treadmills above us at 6 a.m. We phoned Guest Services and Svetlana was amazing! Within 30 minutes she had a new room (11246) for us a several doors down in the same class (only one left so we lucked out). Carnival really did a poor job in terms of layout - they should have put the treadmills above the elliptical machines, which would remedy this, I believe. We paid extra for the spa cabin to relax, and definitely did not get that as people were using them all through the day. Unfortunately, two other parties were with us on the same floor and had to deal with the noise since we were the ones that got moved. (They were in 11210 and 11214).

Overall, I wouldn't upgrade to spa cabin over regular balcony again. Part of the reason I did upgrade was the 'no smoking'. Well, almost every single time I went on my balcony, I smelled smoke. I looked down during one of these outings and noticed someone chain smoking two floors down hanging over the balcony with their cigarette. Yuck. I think deck 6 would have been better! The noises were minimal, but the last night I did hear something being dragged across the floor loudly around 4 am. The TV channels are extemely limited, so bring other forms of in room entertainment! Especially if you have kids!

The balcony size is standard and this cabin is underneath the edge of the spa area. The location is quiet with no noise from above. There were samples of Elemis brand shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. These were not replaced during the cruise. The beach towels were yellow with the Serenity logo on them and the robes had the Cloud 9 Spa logo on them. The décor is a little different than a standard cabin but other than those things it is the same as any other balcony cabin. There is a private staircase and elevator for direct access to the spa. The spa balconies are all non-smoking and I never smelled cigarette smoke while out on the balcony. The views from there were really great.

Spacious room for 2 adults and 2 children. sofa converts to bed and has upper pull-down bunk, Balcony with chairs, and great location, close to stairs and elevators. Quiet hallways and upper floor. enough storage in closets and under bed, with drawer pull-outs under sofa. Only 1 outlet in room, suggest taking power strip outlet to plug in various devices, but be sure you put it away when you are away from your room, IT WILL BE CONFISCATED!

11260 is a little close to the public area by the pool. Sometimes at night we would hear music but it was not unbearable. We were still able to sleep.  Read entire member review.

Still Dreaming by dreamgirl1908

This is a balcony that is close to the front of the ship. I wouldn't recommend it, because to you can hear the kids running in the water park, as well as the parties on the lido deck that lasted well into the early morning. However, if you don't mind the noise, it is conveniently located near the entrance to the lido deck.

We had a balcony cabin on the Spa Deck. The room was perfect, ample closet and drawer space, you couldn't see over the balcony if sitting in the chairs, you had to stand up. It was a non-smoking deck but we still smelled smoke from elsewhere. The amenities in the bathroom were wonderful, the beds are comfortable as are the pillows. The trash can was in an inconvenient place so we would move it daily, other than that it was perfect.  Read entire member review.

The best part of the spa balcony was not having smokers around us. I wish all balconies were non-smoking. Some people don't like the spa deck because the cabins do not have a roof. I was glad it didn't rain any on our cruise.

In regards to the Category 8S Spa Balcony, I would not choose it again. I knew that there was no cover, but the people leaning on the rail above me on the Serenity deck, were practically ON my balcony. I could hear every word and then some. No privacy at all.

DO NOT book a cabin on deck 11 ! The sewer smell is worse there. It is terribly noisy. Doors are opening and shutting constantly from some unknown location within the ship. It wasn't other cabin doors...believe me I checked. Our family also had a cabin on Deck 2. It was MUCH, MUCH better!  Read entire member review.
Cabin was ok. Seemed smaller than the Conquest, but maybe it wasn't; not sure. If someone had smoked in that room, however, I would have had to try and cancel the trip. The bed was not as comfortable as the Conquest. Maybe because the bed was newer, but our "2nd" cabin steward took time to try and make it softer for me.  Read entire member review.
The staterooms have narrow entryways. My wife could not get in the room with her walker which had to be folded and brought in very similar to a Spirit Class ship. When we were on the Triumph last month my wife could walk in with her walker unfolded. The Dream makes a lot of noise when hit by waves. This didn't happen when we sailed on the Triumph last month. On the Triumph we had a smoother ride in worse weather.  Read entire member review.
Did I Dream? by misstopgun
We were offered and paid for an upgrade for an Ocean Suite. I had been in a Penthouse Suite twice before, once we paid for and once upgraded for no cost, and thought this would be similar. I was dissappointed that it didn't increase the size of the room by much and that the jacuzzi tub was so small. Certainly not worth and additional $260. I will stick to the balcony rooms unless offered an upgrade to a penthouse.  Read entire member review.
Fairly large room, quiet location (deck 2), great balcony view, beds were comfortable, room was very clean and well tended. Ample closet and drawer space. Very nice!  Read entire member review.
We an inside cabin on the 7th floor. There was plenty of closet space, about 3 drawers and a safe. There is room under the bed to store luggage. I don't think they thought out the whole pull down bed when you have a king size in the middle of the room (two beds pulled together to form one bed is approx. a king size). There's not a whole lot of room for the ladder. It was pretty quiet on our floor.  Read entire member review.
My cabin on lido. No problems.  Read entire member review.
The standard balcony aboard most any Carnival ship is more than adequate. Plenty of closet space; bath is adequate; balcony is comfortable; seating area is good for up to 4 people but sleeping space would be crowding the walking area if you had to pull out the sofa bed.  Read entire member review.
The beds were extremely comfortable. I was surprised at the amount of space, both for storage and in the room in general. It was nice having two bathrooms. I appreciated that there was some room in the mini-fridge for us to store beverages in addition to the ones that were for sale. We had an ocean-view room which was definitely worth the extra money. I can't really think of anything we viewed as a negative.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin Steward was excellent. Very friendly and knew everyone by name. We were in a cove balcony. However, if the sewage smell is not cleared up totally I would not recommend the 2ND floor.  Read entire member review.
deck 6 is noisy due to it being just above deck 5 with the casino and dance clubs.  Read entire member review.
Super Unimpressed by not2nuts07

We got an inside cabin on the 11th floor which was awesome except it was directly under the gym. Which being under the gym wasn't bad except it was where the free-weights were and apparently no one knows how to lift weights correctly and not slam them down or throw them down on the floor.

We had the Aft facing, extended balcony on deck 9 Vista. It was great, plenty of room but could have used a bit more closet space. Lots of drawers, great view. But, VERY noisy with chairs scraping above us and kids running in the corridors. Like the lounge chair on the balcony and got a nap there one afternoon.  Read entire member review.
