Plenty of room for two adults and a toddler. Bathroom large. Balcony large. Bed very, very comfortable. TV didn't work but they fixed it. Hallway was sometimes noisy at night with screaming teenagers - would be nice if this were monitored better. We found it great that room service was available 24 hrs a day, and could be ordered from the TV.  Read entire member review.

Great view, a little loud due to the bass of the dance club bellow us.  Read entire member review.

Carnival Dream . . . by Tinkerbell1391
Great Balcony. We were in the middle of the ship but the VERY front. We have always been in the middle or back. Would recommend sticking to middle or back. The front was very bumpy the first couple of days. The room was good size and met our needs. Honestly, we use the room to sleep, change, and shower. We rarely stay in our room and often times end up on the balcony if we were in the room. It was perfect for what we needed.  Read entire member review.

Great location! Close the elevator, but not too noisy. Lovely balcony, right in the middle of the ship!  Read entire member review.

Cabin 8269, very nice with a balcony! Very roomy, only issue is that my wife and I sleep cold and with a fan running high at night to drown out the noise. Wished the room was colder too, i mean down to about 65. The beds are good and soft, found out later near the end of the cruise they will bring a fan to you if you want one in the room. Nice to have a balcony, couple of times washed a few items in the sink and put them out to dry in the chairs outside, i know that might sound a bit redneck but it worked for me as I only brought one set of workout clothes for the gym. You can hear people in the hallways talking and you can hear cabin doors closing, but hey I have heard that on other ships as well.  Read entire member review.

Our location was great, close to the main elevators. Only noisy when kids were running and screaming down the hall. Starboard side was port side on two of the three islands. Plenty of room for four occupants and there possessions.  Read entire member review.

Small Closets, Noisy Balcony, Quiet Location, Overlooking Ocean and Lanai Promenade, Quiet Hallway, Across From Crew Space, Generic Bath and Body Products, No Lotion Product Available The verandah door opens outward rather than slides, so you have jam an object into the hinge to prop it open.  Read entire member review.

Carnival Dream by ks_farmer_girl
On the Carnival Dream you will find if you book a balcony you will look down and see another deck below w/ people walking around and a hot tub or two. I would book a cove balcony where all you can see is the ocean and pay the cheaper price :)  Read entire member review.

Great Location, no noise for the most part except rudeness in the hallway....can happen on any level. Beautiful balcony, private.  Read entire member review.

Room 8340- Good closet space. Not enough outlets. Very close to middle elevators, so a bit noisy  Read entire member review.

Cabin coverage: Balcony 8347: the worst cabin stewards that I've had on any cruise ever! Yeah, they filled the ice bucket and replaced towels, but I (pretentiously) approached them on Day 3 of the cruise in the hallway to introduce myself. Until then, they had turned their heads/eyes away every time I left the room. I can't even tell you their names because, even after we introduced ourselves by name, they simply said "Hi, nice to meet you." I thought my gesture would improve things, but they never even acknowledged me or my sister any time we left or came back in the cabin even though they were right in the hallway. OK, I don't totally fault them because I know they are making so few $$$ - but a nice "good morning" or "have a good evening" does seem to add to the cruise when you know these people are in your room while you are out of it. It's not like our room was a mess; hell, we are two middle-aged ladies that never left a thing out of place when we left the room, and compared to some of the cabin disasters I saw when the doors were open, we were one of their easiest rooms to clean. Needless to say, I did not tip them extra like I do the rest of the crew. Here's something else about 8347: This is a HOT cabin and I mean temperature-wise. We thought a midship, high deck cabin would be more convenient on this big ship, and it was, but the A/C cannot keep up with the hot air coming from the bank of elevators that are right off the hall. I usually keep my home A/C at 75 in Florida, but this room only cooled down to that level in the middle of the night. One more thing about Starboard Side 8347 - I'm not sure if it was only our West Carib cruise, or just the luck of the docking draw, but (except for embarkation out of Port Canaveral) we were very disappointed by not seeing any of the ports when we docked. Our balcony views from all four of our port dockings were only views of the ocean. (Note to myself for the future: you have finally realized that PORT side did not just mean LEFT!) Inside 8355: My three "kids" stayed there, almost directly across from our balcony cabin, and LOVED their cabin steward staff. They also had to turn their A/C down ten degrees from the max because they were freezing. Outside 2222: The 21-year-olds stayed here and were both first time cruisers. They thought the entire cruise was a fairy-tale so no complaints and knew their cabin stewards on a first name basis. I only visited this cabin twice, and it was Port side so had a great view in ports, but it was so far forward that I probably would not have liked it much (only because of the size of Dream).  Read entire member review.

Late Summer Getaway by spotdog32
Well Cabin 8347 great cabin if you like NOISE yes right off the mid ship elevators and it was like the main crossroads for deck 8. On embarkation day the elevators were not accessible until 7PM. So that was a problem, and it is all busy night and day. The room is just like any other on a Carnival except prepare to ROAST this cabin and the one our friends stayed in 8343 were saunas hot, and very stuffy. It only seem to get cold when we were sailing or at night. As a matter of fact the whole ship was HOT the only place cold the dinning rooms.  Read entire member review.

We were in cabin 8378, which was offered up as a "Past Guest" selection. Balcony Cabins: Chose carefully, then prepare to be disappointed. The balcony cabins from deck 6 through 9 overlook the Lanai Promenade on deck 5. The noise and light pollution from below are absurd and the view and sound of the sea are blocked by the Lanai deck which projects 25 feet or so from the side if the ship. We paid extra for the privilege of selecting a cabin directly above a hot tub and the outdoor bar area of the ocean plaza, both of which proved to be a great source of unwelcome noise. With all the outdoor public areas available, I will be booking inside cabins on Dream class ships from now on. The one possible exception may be the "Cove" balconies on deck 2. They have an unobstructed view of the ocean directly below and are shielded from all the noise and light pollution from the decks above. If you go with a cove, get one at least half way back on the ship to avoid ocean spray when running in seas over 5 feet.  Read entire member review.

Our stewards were fabulous. They took excellent care of us and our room was always very tidy. Loved the balcony (the vulgar neighbors, not so much). The beds were very comfortable. The room did not have enough storage - one full closet was filled with bedding materials, 3 very tiny drawers in the vanity. Bathrooms had plenty of shelf space for toiletries.  Read entire member review.

Great balcony, great location convenient to back elevators and stairs making dining trips easier and quicker. Away from common areas so the only noise was from the kids in the cabin next to ours. Clean and roomy. Lousy hairdryer.  Read entire member review.

We loved both of our cabins. We had connecting cabins 8427 and 8423. I was in 8427 the balcony was great and we loved that it was a quite spot all the way aft. Great location! close easy access to Lido!  Read entire member review.

Memorial Cruise by cruisnis4me
Cabin: We had a balcony cabin aft on deck 8, the Verandah Deck. The cabin was nice with plenty of room and storage space. I love having the safe and the refrigerator. Negative - the slamming of the balcony doors at all hours of the day and night drove us crazy! I will truly consider whether the extra cost of a balcony is worth it on future cruises. Our AC went out once when we were shifting from shore to ship power, but it did not really affect us.  Read entire member review.

Loved our cabin! Plenty of room for 2. Decor was pretty ugly, but the cabin steward had it spotlessly clean! Balcony Deck was really hot in the sun!!! Always smelled like cooking potatoes and onions out there. We did not hear any noise from other passengers, except if they were loud in the hallway. We did feel the shaking of the screws....something was definitely out of alignment. it was especially bad after we ran aground in Belize. It was totally cool when we backed into the dock in Roatan....birds eye view of the island!  Read entire member review.

Great quiet location on port side high and forward. Cabins above and below. Ample storage space and bathroom space. Has a sofa single bed and a Pullman bed in the ceiling for total capacity of 4. Balcony is small but adequate with 2 chairs and a small table. Nearest elevators are atrium, but far enough away to avoid noise from atrium activities. Up one flight of stairs to lido deck for pool and buffet area.  Read entire member review.

9236 - Great location - one flight of stairs from the Lido deck and the Gathering Buffet. Quiet as there are staterooms above and below.  Read entire member review.

Good closet space. Our cabin area was pretty quiet most of the time. We had a balcony cabin and it was on the port side. I recommend the port side for the Western Caribbean itenerary. Balcony was not cleaned by the crew at all. Hair tended to gather on the floor, walls, and ceiling of the balcony. Bathroom was adequate. Plenty of storage space under the bed.  Read entire member review.

Carnival Dream by zuk_74
9256 Balcony 8-D ( I believe) no issues with general noise, just neighbors who are way too loud at the wrong times. Nothing wrong with the room IMO. Very good location.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 9259 was awesome - a great location because we were steps away from the main elevators (glass elevators). My BIL was in 2501 which is an oceanview facing out the back of the ship. He was very disappointed because there was a lot of noise and vibrations at various times throughout the week. He wants to be higher up next time.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 9404 on Carnival Dream was too the back of the ship, Very noisy with the carts, but otherwise ok. would recommend getting a cabin in the middle or toward the front.  Read entire member review.

The balcony was amazing but you give up room size to get it with this room. I'm sure the sq foot is the same as other balconies but there is a long hallway that eats up alot of that.  Read entire member review.

Cabin Closets lack hangers, so we always bring extras. Inside cabins had very little sitting areas, there was a small chair (no back) and the bed. Balconies were pretty small. Only could find 2 real electrical plug-ins. Beds were very comfortable and closets were fairly big. We loved the door stops they left in the rooms, since we had 2 cabins across from each other. A little noisy because it was deck 9 in the middle before the pool (9323/9325)  Read entire member review.

good balcony room. I have room 8296.  Read entire member review.

Our balcony room was much bigger than our room on Royal Caribbean. There was plenty of storage space and an in-room safe that worked well. The bathroom had six small shelves and a roomy shower with plenty of pressure. We enjoyed watching the sunrise on our balcony one morning. In fact, our balcony was one of our favorite places to unwind.  Read entire member review.
