We were on the Main level in the Aft section. We had significant engine noise. This was not bothersome, but actually helped me sleep as I usually sleep with a fan. On our last night, as we were returning to New Orleans, the noise sounded like we were scraping the bottom of the river bed - so that wasn't very relaxing. I was impressed with the room size, level of comfort for the bed and pillows. We had ample room for all of our belongings and the entire floor was quiet, clean and comfortable.  Read entire member review.
This room had 2 bunks that they put down, two twin beds and under those were a pull out bed and a crib if we needed them. 4 of us stayed and were very comfortable. The person sleeping under the window did have a little maneuvering they had to do around the ladders but we put them on the bed after we got up and the stewards folded these beds up during the day. They also noticed one needed to stay down for us as we had someone who liked to nap a little during the day and she was in a bunk. The stewards we had were wonderful even doing the towel flower and card for the birthday girl on her special day. There were small children in the room next to us who would bang on the wall some and being more towards the back of the ship we could hear and feel the engines more but it was all bearable. The bathroom is smaller than the bigger ships but ample for using the restroom, taking a shower and brushing your teeth. There are only two plugs, this was the only other thing we ran into as an issue. One plug in the bathroom and one in the cabin. With all of us having books on I-Pads or other devices of the sort this did make for some creativity in charging times. One of the best things about the room was the placement, right down from the back stairs, one flight up we hit the dinning room and two we were on the promenade... I would book this room again...  Read entire member review.
Roomy cabin, plenty of storage, quiet above and below, short walk from elevators.  Read entire member review.

we stayed in M171. it was comfortable. there were a lot of families on our floor who must have told the kids 'go out and play' because I did have to open the door and say 'enough' when the running and yelling got too loud. ocean view room with nice big window.

We had an ocean view on the main deck. The room would be perfect except for the stupid box in the corner that contained the life jackets. It made it extremely difficult for my husband to get out of bed (he had to come out the foot of the bed) and made it impossible to get to the window to look out! What is the sense of having a window if you cannot get to it to look out?? We are in our 60's and climbing over the bed was very awkward for us. Might not bother someone younger.  Read entire member review.
Placement of bunks made for a very painful vacation. If I had a dime for every time someone in our family smacked their head on the wooden frame of one of the bunks, I could afford another cruise. Disney solves this problem by placing the two bunks on the same wall, like real bunk beds, and they don't put bunks over the heads of the people sleeping in the main bed, so they don't even have room to sit up in bed. Otherwise, fairly good use of space in terms of closet and shelves.  Read entire member review.
Large closets, large bathroom, plenty of drawer space, huge window, quiet hallways.  Read entire member review.

Fantastic Trip! by sford17
Excellent selection for a cabin. Not close to any elevators, and right in the middle of the ship so there was no engine noise. Great view!  Read entire member review.
Carnival Elation Cabin R198 Cabin R198 was an outside view on the Riviera Deck (Deck 4). We liked the location close to the elevators near the aft (back) of the ship. There were three adults in the room and there seemed to be ample room. A quick elevator ride up to the Lido deck for dining at Tiffany's (the buffet) and the pool. Though it was close to the rear of the ship its location is considered mid-ship. We did not notice any engine noise or vibration.  Read entire member review.

Nowhere to sit except the bed. TV was really terrible -- everything was green! Lots of bangs and thumps to be heard, origin unknown.  Read entire member review.
Our forward port cabin on Upper Deck was U34. We were very pleased with the cabin, although we missed having a small couch or chairs. We had one bench under the vanity, and I ate breakfast in bed most mornings! Closet space was ample for 2 adults only. Bathroom larger than most cruise lines. There was a tiny bit of noise late night, but we weren't bothered by it. I was stay in this location again.  Read entire member review.
Cabin M185. Loved this cabin because the AC was actually cold and worked well. The shower worked excellent! My husband was very impressed with it.  Read entire member review.
WE were on the Deck R, cabin R131 with an ocean view. The cabin was the size of a very small hotel room. The bathroom was very small, the closests were nice and had a lot of room. The hallway was filled with kids that were constanly running up and down at 2-3am. I had to call security and they did nothing. I would not recomend deck R it is the furthest away from all the good stuff.  Read entire member review.
