Very quiet location, at the end of the hall so there is no foot traffic and slamming of doors. Coming into port and lowering of anchors can get noisy. I think there is some extra footage on these very forward cabins. They are quite roomy with ample closet space and large bathroom. This cabin is next to steward closet but they worked hard at keeping the noise to a minimum and we rarely heard them. Would book this room again. Read entire member review. |

Cabn R12, very spacious, love the bay window. great location to port debarkations. Very noisy during docking and you can feel waves hitting the hull in rough seas. Read entire member review. |

Room R3, Elation. Very large porthole room. Very clean and serviced well. The porthole windows are set back about 1 1/2 ft limiting the view out of them. For the price of an inside room this is a great value. Very quiet area of the ship. Read entire member review. |

We had a Porthole Room. I do NOT rec. a porthole! They are towards the front of the ship so there is WAY more up and down motion! I was sick the 2nd day bad until i got used to it :( The are also really low and so you hear a lot of noise. We heard huge waves crash against our window the whole time and it was pretty loud at times. I would get a window view or balcony and pay the extra money. The higher the deck and the more center you are the better. Less up and down and less motion. You are in the rooms more than you think & its worth it to get a nice room. Read entire member review. |

Some say it's older.. I say it's still a cruise ship and I'm on vacation, finally! Our Carnival handler/planner got us an porthole room for the cheaper than the interior rooms. This is the first time I've not had a balcony but since the smoking policy is one that doesn't allow you to smoke in the staterooms, I wasn't really concerned with that. The staff on the ship was always friendly and to be honest, I kind of expect my waiters in the dinning room to know my name but I was pleasantly surprised to have my room staff address me by name and even the room staff who worked the rooms down the hall and really didn't have anything to do with my room. I asked those guys a question on the first day and they asked my name. Afterward, every time I passed them in the hallway, they greeted me by name. The room was always serviced, at least twice a day and when I needed something, I was taken care of. Yeah, maybe an older ship but still nice!
