The Mini-Suites with a Balcony have room for up to three and feature curved walls, a sitting area, two lower beds that convert to a queen-size bed and a luxury bath with shower or tub. The also include additional bedding to accommodate two more guests and a private balcony with an amazing view.
I hated the layout where you enter the cabin thru the bathroom space. NO privacy at all! Room too narrow making it impossible to get around bed if someone was coming the other way. Bed was shorter than standard, which leaves your feet hanging over edge. Couch seemed pointless for anything other than putting on your shoes. I have been on other cruise ships that actually had a chair and table across from the couch to create a place to sit and enjoy the cabin. We had to either sit on the bed or side by side on the couch starring at the storage space. Cabin was beautiful at first sight then totally inconvenient, lacking bathroom privacy with the sink out in the middle of the cabin! I've had inside cabins on other ship with better floor plans. On the up side. I did like the balcony, about all that I can say good about the cabin! Read entire member review.
I honestly couldn't tell you what made this "bigger" than a regular balcony. We were on the 8th floor by the elevators. We booked it because it was $20 per person more than the balcony when we booked. I wouldn't pay a lot more for it. You don't get much.
