The "deluxe balcony family cabin" was a tight fit for my husband and I. We are not overweight (5"'5"120lbs/6'/180lbs)or super tall. This being said, we needed to be sure cabinets were closed if either of us was walking through the cabin, could not pass each other without one of us sitting on the bed or couch, and we couldn't redress if we used the bathroom. In addition the bed was short, which left my husbands feet off the end. There was ample space to unpack clothing but other then this, I can't imagine living in this space with a child/ren. Key controled lights and tv were cool as was improved closet space. BTW NCL...the poor lighting and absence of makeup mirrors...not girl friendly!

Deluxe Family Balcony(11250) was ideally located for me. I was 3 floors below the SPA and exercise area where I spend most of the day and 4 floors below the pool entrance and H20 Spice. I was within 100 feet of the elevators but NEVER heard any noise nor was I ever disturbed.
Room had a tremendous amount of storage space. Read entire member review. |

11268 - New Wave. Deluxe Family Balcony. Large shower with tub, plenty of closet space and cabinets to spare. Very comfortable bed. 3 person occupancy using sofa bed. Split bathroom perfect for multiple people to multitask. Very near elevators, but no noise. Read entire member review. |

We had a deluxe family balcony room (D2) room 12086 on the 12th deck. The toilet and bath have been discussed to death. I will say that the toilet, even with its sliding glass door and curtain, leaves nothing to the imagination. You will hear every tinkle, grunt and groan and certainly partake of the aroma. The little sink is very little and does splash even on low water pressure. No one has mentioned that if you're left handed as I am, the sink is a real pain to use. The room is nice but small and tight for two people to walk by each other. There were a lot of cabinets and drawers. The balcony could comfortably seat three adults. I don't understand why there are never electrical outlets by the bed. We use CPAP machines and had to get an extension chord. Worse, the outlets were hidden inside a cabinet! The flat screen TV was nice but there was almost no commercial programming on it. The bed was firm but oval shaped and short. I'm six feet tall and my feet hung off the end of the bed. The room looked nice but was not very functional.

Cabin was very nicely decorated but fairly small for what you expected. The separate bathtub and toilet enclosure were horrible. Lots of storage but two of the closets (there were three) had no coat hangers and at least one should have been all shelves which are much more useful. No noise problems but a long walk to the Buffet area at the other end of the ship. Balcony was fine but more comfortable chairs would have been nice. Lighting and A/C were fine and bedding was very good although I found the bed too hard. Read entire member review. |
