I was not so looking forward to our enclosed balcony however it was so private!!! Cabins are a bit too small but cosy and NCL provided excellent storage space! Read entire member review. |

Cabin 8129 had an extra large balcony with two lounge chairs and two other chairs. Located on deck 8 just about the life boats. The view was unaffected by the boats. Stay away from cabins close to the from of the ship because they do not have glass balconies. They are steel enclosed for the structural integrity of the ship. We switch from 12013 to 8129 for an additional $16 per person well worth it. Read entire member review. |

We had a Balcony stateroom on deck 8, which gave us easy access to the dining and entertainment on decks 5 - 7.
It contained all of the facilities we expected but the layout of the cabin was a bit cramped and the 'bathroom' setup was was very strange, with the sink in the bedroom and the shower and toilet cubicles separated by a curtain.
The balcony was more spacious than we've had before and necessary to prevent the room from feeling claustrophobic. Read entire member review. |

We had a balcony cabin, with an unobstructed view. The cabin itself wasn't very large - but we had ample storage space. My suggestion would be to keep your cabin relatively clutter-free because of the size. If you're a somewhat messier person (like my husband is), I suggest you go for a mini suite which gives you a little more space. Also, note that the Epic has life boats on the side of the ship, almost the whole length of the ship. So, unless you get an aft facing cabin, forward facing cabin (not sure if there are any), or one of the first or last 2-3 cabins on the sides, your balcony view is going to be obstructed by the large life boats. We were in the 2nd to-last balcony in the back and had a beautiful view.
The shower/bathroom stalls in the cabins are cool, roomy and the glass doors give it an open-er feel. There's a curtain to close off the bathroom area for added privacy, if needed. The only negative point I have on the bathrooms is that the actual toilet is kind of weird. The toilet has a toilet seat, but the opening is enormous and feels like you're about to fall inside. It feels like the seat is up, even though it's actually down. It also has this crazy incredibly loud flush that feels like a bomb went off or something. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 11172 - small balcony cabin with a big angled balcony facing forward - I would suggest this for two people only! Read entire member review. |

The cabin, although small, but expected to be so on a cruise ship, was very efficiently configured so there was lots of storage space. The cabin was very modern and everything was easily accessible. The balcony was a good size and really a pleasure to use during the day or evening. It was so nice to be able to keep the balcony door open during the night and hear the waves and enjoy the fresh ocean air. We didn't hear any noise from any other cabin, so the cabins are quite soundproof. The flushing of the toilet is no louder than any other we've experienced on cruises over the years. Balcony was nice, but the room was small. Always cleaning carts in the hallway, it was never clear. Bags of linens lying everywhere.
The curved walls make the couch unusable. Read entire member review. |

Larger than we'd expected, given all the negative comments we'd read - we were expecting a shoe cupboard, but the rooms were more than sufficient. There's plenty of storage, and - though we found the split-bathroom a bizarre design choice - we were able to work around it.
The only negatives were a locked safe in the balcony cabin (which never got unlocked despite us calling Housekeeping), and a broken reading lamp in the inside stateroom, which was hanging off the wall due to it having been nailed in place. It was fixed with screws a few days into the cruise.
The only other problem we had was a smell of rotting veg/poop on the balcony, the day we hit Cozumel. Presumably, this was when the ship was burning its solid waste, and the wind was not in our favour... Read entire member review. |

Cabin layout had no thoughts given to passengers when being designed. Too cramped. Two people could not pass each other. They had to back away to end of room so other could pass. Shower and toilet were unacceptable in size and location. Wash basin on vanity at bedside is inane. Read entire member review. |

Having cruised on various ships I felt that the cabins were smaller than the other balconies that I have experienced. Also, I feel that the price only reflects the other amenities of the ship. It will always be more expensive to cruise on a new ship. We did not have any trouble with flooding however further down our hall there was significant flooding due to some unknown problem. It even soaked the carpets in the hall! Thankfully we weren't caught up in this and had not problems with the functionality of our cabin. - It was very quite when all the doors were closed - so much so we missed the announcements for several things. This was a cabin with the bed by the door so we may have not had such space issues if we got one of the cabins with the bed by the balcony. All in all it did not effect us terribly. On vacation you worry less about that stuff!!!! Read entire member review. |

We loved our location as our room was close to the elevator and it was very quiet. We had an extended balcony and I loved this as I was able to put two loungers out there so we could fully enjoy the balcony. I never heard any noise from side to side and above and below. I am a very light sleeper so this was very important to me.
There was plenty of storage room lots of cubby holes and plenty of space to hang clothes.
The bathroom set up was a non issue for us except when I did order a Pizza I thought oh my what am I going to if he knocks on the door while I am in here by myself? Read entire member review. |

Room was nice with a ton of storage.
Beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. You either lie on your back or front or get bruises on your hip bones.. reminded me of camping in a tent.
Balcony was really good but because we were at the back of the ship the engines and oceans were really loud - couldn't really talk to each other. Regardless of the noise of the engines we spent a lot of time on the balcony because the ship was so crowded. Read entire member review. |

Great Location, It was beyond the stairs and elevators and a dead end so it was very quiet. It is also sandwiched between decks with rooms above and below. Read entire member review. |

Our wheelchair accessible cabin was spacious, but not as spacious as the ones we had on other NCL ships, such as the Jewel, the Dawn and the Pearl. However, we had a very large balcony (about 150 sq. ft.) Read entire member review. |

Overall the cabin was excellent with plenty of storage space built in although circulation space at the end of the bed was very tight. The only downside was the lack of a washing facility within the toilet closet. Read entire member review. |

Don't remember cabin # but was supposed to be an upgraded balcony, was forward, they all looked the same to me. Much lower ceilings give a claustrophobic feel, egress is bad because you have to walk the whole length of the ship to get to the stairs/elevator. Sink faucet is too big for the bowl, couch/bed for third person puts their head in the toilet area. Surprised by the poor design. Read entire member review. |

Cabin Arrangement: WAS HIDEOUS! Bathroom was spread out at the entrance and took up way too much cabin space. It was quite fun to be in the shower when someone wanted to go out the door! No privacy at all and it was very noisy. Bed was really comfortable, but set only a few inches from the cabinets at the end of the bed so walking back and forth was often obstructed. It did not matter where you were in the cabin you always needed to get to the other side or where the other person was. Terrible arrangement! Will not cruise the EPIC again because of this alone!
ALSO Cabin had ventilation issues. Some how cigarette smoke was beginning pumped into the room in the evenings for 2-3 hours. We reported it and they would clean the room the next day, but the issues was ventilation and they never did find out what was causing the problem. Read entire member review. |
