Family Holiday Cruise by Michael Bailey
Well laid out. Clean. Good cabin service. Every thing worked except balcony door would not shut tight so there was wind noise at night  Read entire member review.
the Cabin in E2 was nice size for us but you can't wash the back of your head with your elbows out without knocking the walls. Balcony is a nice size ans so is the size and set up of the room..I would choose this category again..  Read entire member review.
E2 Balcony...front port side was a quiet location with a nice size balcony but the shower was way too small...Lots of noise from the upstairs rooms and especially noisy during the shows in the promenade, even tough we were not right on the promenade..  Read entire member review.

6316 Good position on the ship on the "hump" deck 6 mid ship. Close to lifts dining and reception but far enough away to suffer no noise pollution  Read entire member review.
Excellent cabin although although doors and panels squeeked in rough seas.
Beds are the finest I have ever slept on and I have never slept so long or so well, can you get them for home use? You can hear the toilet in the┬ácabin next door being flushed which I did not expect. The shower with excellent also.  Read entire member review.

To have an E2 cabin on a hump and yet have a cabin on a strategically position area on a ship is just something you cannot ask for more. The hump extends out of the ship. and you could see the front and back of the ship..It was great as the other cabins down the hallway didn't have this luxury. Furthermore, despite the cabin being close to the elevators, it was quiet and you could barely hear anyone chatting outside, not even footsteps. There were a lot of closet space for you to put your stuff, and many hangers as well. Kettle and hairdryer provided. Toilet was a decent size and the cabin didn't look old so did the balcony which had space for 2 chairs and a table..(wanted a lounger but was informed it cannot be done)

We originally booked an interior but caught a massive price break for balcony guarantee Cat X for only $20 extra. Turned out to be the best $20 I've ever spent. Room 6340 was located on the starboard side hump, and it is category E2. The stateroom was surprisingly roomy, and the balcony was wonderful. This room does have its ups and downs.
Location: It is located right by the elevator on Deck 6. In fact, if we leave our cabin door open, you can walk right into our room walking into our hallway. With that, we hear chatters from other cruisers walking by, but that did not really bother us. We also did not hear the parties and parades out in the promenade, so RCI did a pretty good job isolating sounds in our cabin. Because we are right above the out side promenade on deck 4, we did hear the crews working on the lifeboat hoist (which are right below us) with power tools. We heard grinding and banging at 8:00AM during sea day. Not something you want to hear when you want to sleep in. Other than that, the room is at a great location.

Splendid by shawjam

We had a balcony cabin on deck 6, starboard, near the stern. it was outstanding. It was large enough, had a fridge and a 65 square foot balcony. The bed was comfy too

The best cruise yet! by Richard Edwards
Good location. Only downside it on street party nights as you are very close to the Promenade so it can be noisy.  Read entire member review.
great location, near elevators, and 1 floor up from dining room, and not far from Pommenade  Read entire member review.

Cabin was no 6652 on deck 6 of Independence of the Seas. Was more spacious than expected. The balcony was adequate but a little over crowded with furniture. The partitions between balconies could be closed for individual cabins or could be openned and the area used between cabins - a good ideal for travelling with friends. The cabin was well lit with a variety of lights, the bed was 6ft double or two singles with bedside cabinets. There was a bed settee in the lounge area with could comfortably accommodate extra passengers. The TV was wall mounted and a range of satellite programmes were available, some were pay by view some were free channels. There was also interactive TV which could be used to book shore excursions and monitor on board account. There was also GPS and information on the on board activities and ports of call. The shower room was adequate but well fitted for the purpose with a small pull across line in the shower cubicle for drying clothing. The syphon system on the toilet flush was noisy and we were reluctant to use it at night. The soundproofing in the cabin was very good and we had very little noise from the adjoining cabins. Overall decor was very good  Read entire member review.
Somewhat disappointed by Bruce Tucker
Cabin 7248. Spacious and well appointed. Good sized balcony. Hanging space a bit tight and difficult to get to safe because of side on position. Bathroom a good size, Doors to shower make it easier to use than showers with curtain. Cabin position being forward made it very quiet and very convenient to lifts and stais.  Read entire member review.
What a ship by derek bryan

my cabin was 7254 outside cabin with balcony.this cabin was very spacious in my eyes.the shower was powerful and roomy enough so that you didn't keep banging your room was more than adequate.we had a mini bar and the safe was free. the bed was enormous and comfortable.the balcony was worth the extra money, the only downside is that my wife and i are non smokers and you cant stop ciggy smoke drifting onto your balcony or into the room if the doors are open.Great location not more than a few steps to the forward lifts, and we had no noise problems.

Maybe the only negative about our cabin is its distance from the elevators-staircase. We rarely heard any sound from other cabins. The mattress is very very comfortable. Our veranda of generous proportions. The one thing we would really have appreciated is : cheaper internet access. The duration of this cruise necessitated contact with the home front.  Read entire member review.
Deck 7 Rm 7566 was a good location away from elevators.  Read entire member review.

8244 - Convenient location near lifts and 3 floors below the gym. Blacony a good size but unfortunately th balcony cahirs were rather uncomfortable. Bathroom quite small but adequate. Near the fromt of the ship so you did have quite a wlak to the dining room at the back of the ship.  Read entire member review.
This cabin 8338 is a hump cabin. The only problem was the shower drain. It needed to be snaked during the first leg of the cruise. It is in a perfect position for getting to the elevators and stairways. Would have liked a lounge chair for the balcony.  Read entire member review.
See my comments about my stateroom in the review itself.  Read entire member review.

The balcony cabin was on the hump with a larger than usual balcony. It was well maintained and quite comfortable. I had an extra mattress pad put on the bed as it keeps it from dividing mid-cruise.

Short but wonderful by MommaMickey

Immaculately clean. Well appointed but little room between wall and bed...had to shimmy off bed. Had tea pot set up.

8350, on Starboard, cabin with balcony and was as expected. Adequate in size, with plenty of hanging and drawer space for clothes. Balcony had room for two chairs and table. The shower was better than encountered in other ships and most hotels.
Leroy, our Attendant, was so discreet, though there when needed, in keeping our stateroom well maintained and clean, supplying clean towels almost at every time he was tidying or at "turndown".

Spotlessly clean, comfortable. Nice balcony, really comfy bed & excellent shower. Not too much space to put cases though. Good TV listing.  Read entire member review.

We were advised that we might feel a little more ship movement with a forward cabin, but we did not find this to be the case. The only noise we noticed was children running up and down the corridor on a few occasions.

8630 great room great balcony great attendant great position near the lifts  Read entire member review.

A great room on the hump where you can see up and down the ship due to its location. It is right outside the lifts and there was no noise at all.

A Good as I Remembered!!! by wilkinwonder66
Spacious balcony, bu table a bit small if yu want to hav breakfast or lunch out there, wardrobes not overly spacious but you can just about manage for a week/10 days.  Read entire member review.

I would take this cabin every was close to the elevators and the stairs, great view looking forward and aft, and you can look straight down to the water. I don't know who designed the showers but that may be the smallest shower we have ever seen.

Small balcony right at rear but quiet location. Balcony gets covered in soot, especially on sailaway. No noise from adjoining cabin or corridor.  Read entire member review.

We liked the extra space between the balcony doors and the curtains. It was a good place to store our luggage.  Read entire member review.

E2 Hump room, great location, great balcony, great view, no noise...would book again.  Read entire member review.

Cabin - E2 Balcony 7334 was mid ship, right at the start of the 'bump'. The cabin was in excellent condition, spacious enough for the 8 days and laid out well. There was plenty of storage space, and the safe was at eye level in the closet. There was room both under the bed and behind the balcony curtains for luggage storage (one of the advantages of having a cabin on the 'bump'). A few minor inconveniences (little hot water in the shower, a slow drain in the sink) were attended to quickly once they were brought to the attention of guest services. We think there was a problem with the phone system since we were not getting messages that were being left for us.

loved the balconies- wish there were more adjoing balcony rooms;if needed to call housekeeping- and the call didn't go through- the attendant must have their phone- could see where the call came from - and she was there asking how she could help.  Read entire member review.

Great cabin very spacious with a balcony. Efficient shower - fine for us but not much good if you are carrying any excess weight as quite small cubicle.  Read entire member review.
