Cabin Rating

We occupied staterooms 1519 and 1521 on Deck 11 on the forward, port side of the ship. Wonderful visibility (no obstructions whatsoever). The stateroom, although a bit small was well appointed with more than adequate storage space. Our stateroom was configured with the bed near the bath, our friends in 1521 had the bed next to the deck. The stateroom is a short distance to the Relaxation room which was great for reading or an afternoon nap. The bathroom was spacious with a terrific shower. 1519 and 1521 are on a bump-out but have the standard size balcony. Very quiet although below the gym.

First and Last time by Stroppymare

Cabin: 1046 advertised as a quad room but no larger than other concierge cabins. It has two single beds which can be zipped together , the settee makes the third bed and the fourth is a bed which comes from under the settee. Quite adequate for our 13 and 11 yr olds but could be a bit small for older children.
The settee and the trundle bed are nearest to the window, which makes it very difficult for anyone to access the balcony when the two child beds are occupied. The balcony is slightly larger because of where the cabin is situated but still only accommodates 2 chairs, footrests and table.
In comparison to other ships I have been on, the cabins are smaller. The bathroom is bigger with a generous shelving, good sized shower having perspex doors. Towels, flannels, soaps etc replenished very frequently.
Storage space generally was ok, but to access the overhead cupboards it might be necessary to stand on the bed and for four occupants extra coat hangers.
Close to lift at the theatre end.
Evening canapes always the same and not very appetising
The large bottle of water in your room will cost you $6 so read the small print.

A good well designed cabin, good sized verandah

Cabins 1080 and 1082 were fine other than the issues identified in the review but our friends in Cabin 1098 reported that there was a lot of plumbing noises heard, presumably emanating from other cabins, at night. We also heard the same comment from some other passengers on other decks  Read entire member review.
1099-Perfect location...mid-ship deck 10. Concierge class cat C2. Located directly between the forward and mid-ship elevators. Very quiet location with cabins above and below.  Read entire member review.

Fantastic cabin in great location, felt very light and airy. Loads go hanging space and plenty of drawer space. The balcony was spacious with very comfy chairs. No complaints about the cabin and no problems encountered during cruise with the cabins facilities. Very quiet.

Great Cabin. No noise from Library area or from above. Massive storage with walk-in closet in bedroom with other closets by bedroom entrance to bathroom and out in the main living space. Plenty of seating in living room and out on the balcony. Butler Service is outstanding!!! Bathroom is big enough for 2 and the shower is fantastic.Numerous toiletries provided. Bed and linens are comfy. Robes, slippers, umbrellas, binoculars, hair dryer and safe are provided in the room.  Read entire member review.
Concierge class had the best bathroom we've ever had and we've had suites in the past. Plenty of space, bright warm design, pristine throughout, comfortable bedding. Loved the extra pillows.  Read entire member review.

The room had a terrible vibration. The bathroom although spacious by ship standards had no cord to hang washables.

Little Bit of Heaven by Two Lone Star

Great room. Hardly noticed any ship movement... of course in the Caribbean, it really doesn't matter as the seas were smooth as glass. Was surprised to find we had a nice sized shower...that was great, bathroom was laid out great, except the sink faucet was too long and it was difficult to get your face down to wash it without getting water on the floor...minor nuisance. Bedding and mattress were A+.. I felt like I was home on my Tempurpedic.. Celebrity has this nailed! Fridge was nice, but stocked with too much of their stuff. I could put a couple of bottles of water and a can of soda in and that's about all. Closets were OK but still a little tight...always have to ask for extra hangers. Had a he...of a time figuring out the lighting system... once you have it down, it is very convenient as you can turn of main lights from your bed and also have a nice reading light over the bed.. Good engineering. TV gets lots of channels, including movies.

This is a very quiet cabin, and the only problems we found related to storage. The wardrobes are on the back wall of the bathroom and down one side of the bed, making access difficult and it is impossible for two people to use it at the same time. The whole of the dressing table surface is taken up by the kettle tray. The settee is uncomfortable and more space could be created by removing it and replacing it with two (comfortable) chairs.
The beds are very comfortable and we slept well.

1180 - beautiful and very quiet cabin! Great verandah and updated linens. Comfortable bed.  Read entire member review.

We had cruised on the solstice class before and knew what to expect and we were not disappointed as it was excellently presented and kept clean all through the cruise. You may not think you have a lot of space for clothes but above the bed is a spring loaded cabinet which gives you a lot more space and there is loads of room under the bed for cases.

Wonderful ship by lucky rose

Our suite was as always of a high standard. There was so much storage space and it was kept immaculately clean by Doris and Bryan both of whom were fastidious in there attention to detail. Our butler Alex was exceptional in all his duties going above and beyond throughout the holiday all three helped to make this holiday wonderful. I felt that the bed was too hard but one mention of this to Alex and he had the problem sorted out. In parts the suite was looking a little tired, the lampshades in the bedroom have seen better days and the mirror in the bathroom needs replacing. These are minor points in an otherwise spotless suite

The cabin and the related service was excellent.

Excellent location for an accessible cabin. Very close to the Aqua Spa Relaxation room. For some reason, whenever we opened the veranda sliding door, the cabin would squeak, LOUDLY! We generally like to keep the sliding door open a few inches at night to hear the sound of the waves - very soothing - but we couldn't do that in this cabin as the squeaking would ensue.

Deck 11. Starboard. Cabins are in pairs with each having a wide and a narrow area – the bed is in the wide area and the sofa in the narrow (the right hand cabin (looking from the corridor) has the wide part, and therefor the bed, by the window; the left hand one has the sofa by the window). This makes the sofa area feel a little tight. Our cabin had quite dark upholstery though others were lighter. This, combined with the wide overhang from the pool deck immediately above made the cabin feel a bit dark. Storage was not very good – wardrobe right by the sofa making it difficult to get to one end of it; only a few small drawers and none of the clever, useful cubby holes we have seen on other ships.
Shower room:
Excellent – roomy and plenty of storage. Very good shower

Our S2 stateroom was a good size with plenty of living space. The storage space in this cabin is amazing, there is plenty of room in the wardrobes and we were unable to fill all the drawer space. The bathroom although small is well designed with lots of storage and a shower that provides gallons of hot water. The balcony is furnished with two chairs/loungers and a table but we found the chairs/loungers uncomfortable. The room attendant kept the cabin clean and tidy and the butler was keen to offer his assistance whenever we needed it.

Amazing trip by saltywave

Large room with plenty of space to move around. Two closets so plenty of space for clothes and shoes for a 14 day Baltic cruise. Four large suitcases stowed easily under the bed. Loved the extra large bathroom with tub/shower. Lots of places for all our toiletries. We heard an occasional cart rolling on the floor above us in the buffet but nothing that ever bothered us. Large balcony with extra large overhang above and also next to the "bump out". Both of these features helped shield us from chilly weather in the Baltic at that time of the year. Would book this cabin again.

Great cabin - very spacious and with loads of storage space. Handily situated for the lifts, the pools and the restaurants' and also the Ocean View Café. Some noise at times from the Ocean View Café, but not too bad. Only negative is that cabin is underneath the overhang from deck 14 so the balcony is shaded for much of the time (only really got any sun at sunrise and sunset). Would happily book it again though

Sky Suite 2153 on both Eclipse and Equinox. Love these cabins. At back of ship on pool deck. No wind on verandah so you can enjoy all the time. Everything worked perfectly.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was a balcony cabin on Deck 6 and was quite spacious and easily accommodated my wife's mobility scooter. The bathroom was a good size and the shower cubicle was quite large. Lovely large 32 TV with Sky....on a swivel which made viewing easy (not that we watched very much apart from the News). However it was fully interactive, provided by Apple.

6210, sold as a restricted view, restricted view is only looking down onto life boats, does not restrict view to horizon. Lager than normal balcony as on angle of hump. Room spacious with plenty of storage, good mid ship location close to lifts but quiet location.  Read entire member review.

This was a wonderful room. It was noted that it had an obstructed view. The only thing that was slightly obstructed was the fact that you look down on the life boats. You can still see straight out and we did not mind the life boat view at all. The bed was very comfortable. The deck was perfect for the two deck chairs and side table. The bathroom was well equipped and spacious.

From Russia with love by Helen Earth

Very quiet cabin with little passing traffic and a larger than average balcony.Unable to see immediately down to the sea from cabin as on top of Tuscan Grill but this was not a problem at all. Some distance from lifts but this was fine for us - we like walking and the quiet location was more important.

Balcony rooms are lovely and bathrooms are good  Read entire member review.

This was an inside state room which suited us because we mostly had late nights. so with no early morning sunlight coming in we had no problems sleeping in each morning. The room was plenty big enough for the two of us with plenty of drawers to stow our clothes and room to hide our luggage away out of site. The ward robe was a good size too. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very adequate with good water pressure and plenty of bathroom products if we needed them. .

 Read entire member review.

The room was small but very clean and convenient. Since we only need the stateroom for sleeping, showers and dressing, we do not mind that it is interior with no view. Most of our time is spent on deck and a various ship functions and performances. No complaints whatsoever.

Lovely Eclipse by shoreham01
7193 Deck 7 port side Bed near balcony door which we loved. Wardrobe was rather shallow and hard to get to on one side as settee was really too long for the space. It was not too much of a problem, but poorly designed. Four small drawers plus one small drawer under dressing table. Dressing table hard to use as kettle and cups on tray were placed there, so not much room for 'girlie' things. Strongly recommend bringing lightweight plastic baskets to use on bedside tables as they are so tiny. 7 X 11 inches by 6 inches deep were perfect and allowed us to place our bits and pieces by the side of the bed without them falling on floor. We just packed into the baskets so they took up no space in luggage. There is a long cupboard over the bed but quite difficult to get to. Bathroom is great with loads of storage. Tap on sink is ridiculous as it does not move and comes out across the basin making it very difficult to wash. Balcony is good size and clear view over the lifeboats. Great TV with interactive access to room service, shore excursions and view of your account. There was also SKY news and BBC World news among the stations on offer which was a huge improvement to the limited CNN news offered on other cruise lines. A reasonably sized safe is provided and a small cooler. Ice is delivered daily or you can get it from the Ocean View buffet anytime you need it. This is a quiet room, conveniently situated.  Read entire member review.

We were in cabin 7221 on deck 7 on the hump nice position near glass lifts, very comfy king size bed with over bed cupboards worth taking some canvas boxes 280mm cube to put bits in easier to get out. Wardrobe with hanging space plus half rail for slacks etc. 5 drawer chest draws not very deep, a desk with two power points European round two pin and American flat pin style. 32" TV and nice to see on a ship Kettle with tea and coffee, fully stocked drinks cooler (Extra charge even if on drinks package). Cabin was spotless bathroom had super shower with curved glass doors plenty on toiletries and lots of storage space. Lighting was good in cabin.

Best of Baltic by tony1935

Plenty of space but limited draw storage. Like a mini-suite with coach and mini-bar and tea/coffee making, well stocked. Dressing gown provided and shower stool provided, as requested.

We felt, whilst the cabin was a good size, the overall storage was not good. The cupboard above the bed was so inaccessible as to be practically useless. There were not enough drawers or shelves to put folded shirts etc. We enjoyed having the balcony which we used quite a bit. The reason for this, was that we were able to sit quietly and read, without the distraction of piped music all the time.  Read entire member review.
The hall way was a little noisy, but that's just rude people, not the cruise line's fault. Nice closet space Nice bathrooms (you have to get a hairdryer from concierge desk, it's not in the statetoom) The balconies are the BEST thing if you have rooms next to each other, open them up and party on! They took pictures every day and night, we purchased 4 8x10's for $100.00 I think. We bought the alcohol package for $313.95 per person and IT WAS WORTH IT! you felt like you had to get your money's worth, but also tried new drinks everyday. If you add up the $7-$10 drinks per day, maybe 3ish in the afternoon and 2ish glasses of wine at dinner, then maybe a nightcap at the entertainment, you'll not loose money. Lastly, PLEASE, Celebrity Cruise Line: PLAY SOME GOOD MUSIC BY THE POOL! No steel drums EVER! it was always elvator music! When on a tropical cruise people want to hear TROPICAL music! Overall the cruise was nice, not the best, not the funnest (kind of stuffy) but very clean. The food was average, I've had better meals and desserts on Carnival many times.  Read entire member review.

Our room was ready shortly after lunch. We loved our room- a spacious balcony stateroom, with a sofa, comfortable balcony, large bathroom with glass door shower. They provide body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, cotton balls hairdryer and lots of storage. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything for a lovely stay.

Quite cabin with just one problem. The bed creaked loudly every time you turned over. I did report it, but nothing was done about it. Sounds petty but believe me it is really annoying, especially the night we had really rough seas. Apart from that everything was good.

8257 was an excellent cabin because of it nearness to the glass elevator. It was quiet and convenient.  Read entire member review.
We were in cabin 8257 which is located on hump at an angle. Negative point cabin is above extractor fan of kitchen occasionally we had smells from kitchen, a lot of banging noise from glass doors which maintenance tried to put right, sorry did not work. desperately needs to be put right. A lot of noise in corridor from staff doing there work early morning. very comfortable cabin a good idea of night light in toilet. no smoking policy great news thanks.  Read entire member review.
No neighbours on one side, right at the back, quiet.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 8343 is a long way aft on Vista Deck. This means that it is a long way from stairs and lifts, but also means that there are not many people walking past the door. Some cruise websites say that it is larger than other cabins of this grade. It is difficult to measure it accurately because so few sections of wall meet at right angles, but my estimate is that it is actually very close to the 194 square feet stated for this category of cabin. The balcony is, however, not standard in shape or size. The deck plan shows it as being deeper than other balconies but still rectangular.

The pictures are of cabin 8343 on Celbrity Solstice, but this cabin on Eclipse looks almost identical. I estimate the actual size of the balcony as about 67 square feet, or about 20% more than the standard 54 square feet. This makes it big enough for loungers or at least foot rests, but these are not provided, just standard reclining chairs and a table. The cranked rail on the balcony gives good views forward and to the side, but solid superstructure and the window cleaning cradle parked nearby partly obstruct views aft. In my opinion it is a marginally better cabin than others nearby but the difference is not great. On our cruise the premium for a grade 1A cabin like 8343 compared to the price of the grade 1C cabins on the same corridor was very small. It would not be worth paying a lot for the extra balcony size.

9192 is a standard cabin BUT due to its position has an extended balcony, as its on the sloping inner section there is very little wind whilst in motion. Its located close to the stair well / lifts and therefore easy to find, even after a few beers

Excellent cabin and balcony.

Our verandah cabin was on deck 9 midships. Very comfortable and plenty of room for three adults and all our clothes. The double bed was huge and very comfortable, and the sofa bed was made into a single bed for our daughter which she also found very comfortable and did not take up any extra room in the cabin when it was made up. Having the tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin is a nice touch.

Our Celebrity Cruise by HelenREMfan

Lovely position on the "hump" just before the indented rooms with the larger balconies. Very quiet venue despite its close location to the lifts. Excellent room steward José and his helper! Bed faces the front of the ship ie you sail feet first and the bed is by the balcony - perfect for viewing the sail into Stockholm etc. Loved to lie in bed gazing out to sea etc!

Cabin 9246 mid-ship: Overhead storgae not practical to use nedd to stand on bed for access. Lack of bedside drawers (only bedside shelf unit provided). No external light on balcony. Bathroom adequate. Location OK.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 9298 was a Concierge Class C2 cabin on the hump of the ship. The balcony was nice and larger than average because it was on the hump. The room was smaller than average balcony staterooms I have stayed on at other cruise lines such as Holland America, Carnival and Princess. The room is only 194 square feet. You can barely walk past the bed to get to the sitting area. The bathrooms are average for this type of stateroom. In my opinion, others who are claiming that the bathrooms are spectacular or larger than average with Celebrity for this style stateroom are exaggerated.  Read entire member review.

The cabins are fine. We found the closets to be adequet (I pack a lot). Both balconies were great, especially the one in Aqua class. The only thing I would like to mention, and it wasn't a problem for us, but could be for some people, is that there are only 2 elevator banks areas. There are 8 elevators a little back from middle, and 4 elevators in the front. If your cabin is in the fantail area, this is quite a walk. The fantail balcony view is wonderful. The library is a work for art. It is very inviting and well stocked. The showers in the Aqua rooms are by far the best ever. Love, love this ship. Can't wait for the two new ones arriving in the next two years.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was fine with a small but adequate balcony, and a cramped, but acceptable bathroom with a shower. There was decent shelf space in the bathroom, and the closet was small but acceptable for a short cruise. It would be difficult to go for longer than eight days with the closets and drawers in the room. The bed was comfortable. The cabin staff was pleasant, and did their work very well.  Read entire member review.
Great cabin--concierge class--lots of goodies, but I am sure you are paying for them. Larger cabin and verandah than Carnival or HAL for the same class cabin. Bath is fairly small, but well arranged. Tiny entrance to shower--about 20 inches--don't know how fat people got in there. Shower head is fixed, not on a varible vertical rod like most cabins have, and it did not have a flexible supply tube.  Read entire member review.
Best Ever Cruise by Richard chedzey
The cabin was one of the best I have had on a cruise and the bathroom was the best very spacious and well thought out. Balcony was one of the biggest we have had and we have done 10 other cruises but these were the best by far.  Read entire member review.

A lovely modern, comfortable and clean cabin. Hanging space was more than on some ships and draws were in abundance. The one thing we missed was a bedside cabinet! Why have they done away with them on Eclipse? There's just a free standing 'thing' with a couple of tiny shelves! Nowhere to stand a drink, a clock etc. - stupid. TV system was pretty good with free movies which can be paused and revisited anytime within 48 hours. We didn't care for the modern sink and tap in the bathroom. It was a very modern bowl which overflowed every time you used it and if one needed to bring ones face nearer to the sink you banged your head on the non-movable tap which extended over halfway across the bowl!
