Great balcony. No fridge :( Hard beds.  Read entire member review.

The deck plans were fine for what they offered.

Never again on this ship! by Pollyanna flower

Outdated small but nice caretakers

The three of us shared ocean-view cabin 171 on the Empress deck (7) which was a good location because it was close to both the lido buffet and our dining room. No noise at all. The flip-down bunk for the kiddo folds out of the wall and was in the way until our room steward came to put it away after we left for breakfast. If you have a choice – get a room where the extra bunks come out of the ceiling instead because they tend to be directly over the bottom beds and are not in the way. By the time I realized I could just turn the beds the other way, it was day 4.

I was in E206, aft, port side. Long walks to the main part of the Ship. There were two elevators near my cabin but they didn't open up to a lot of the Ship. I think they want you to walk through the main/promenade areas to access most of the Ship. Nice room, balcony Oceanside, nice amenities.

Nnoisy, small , smelled like sewage. Nice balcony though.  Read entire member review.
Small cabin.  Secluded location.  Read entire member review.
We stayed in Cabin E35 which is on the starboard (right) side at the front of the ship. We had no trouble at all with the motion of the ship or noise (aside from the people in the cabin next to us). This was an unobstructed OV cabin, with the larger square window rather than a porthole. The AC in this room worked really well, almost too well. You practically had to turn the air flow completely off to keep from freezing. The room is also situated just down the hall from the laundry, which is convenient. The size of the room is pretty good, doesn't feel cramped and has a pullman bed to allow for 3 guests in this cabin. The mattresses where pretty hard, made it rough sleeping at night. The rooms were also supposed to each have a hair dryer, but this one didn't. Fortunately my wife brought hers along. The bathrooms are fairly large for a cruise ship, especially the shower which is nice. The room only had a single 110 outlet so be sure to bring an extension cord if you need to power more than one electrical device!  Read entire member review.

I was told that every ship has the same cabin set up. My cabin, although a Jr. Suite was painfully small. The bathroom was only able to accommodate one person at best. The shower I thought was the worst possible place ever, The balcony furniture was old and needed a good cleaning. Not what I expected...

A True Review by captainorin

Room service was excellent. Went out to eat and when we returned everything made up with mints on the pillow. Only draw back was room was perfect for two. However, we had a third person with us and they had a bunk that was lowered and it blocked the path to walk to the window to get to the far side of the bed in the room. So I had to crouch down and walk under the over hanging bunk bed that was lowered out of the wall. If we would have had a 4th person Carnival would have given us a 2nd room with two people in each room. 3 is an odd number.

Cabin was M230 (main deck (deck 5) aft, port side balcony). Room was ready. We met our steward (Richard) who knew my name. He was very professional and nice. Did not miss a beat in his duties. I asked for bucket of ice to always be in the cabin, and it was. He changed it out twice a day. I had a issue with the TV in the room . He got AV department on it and they changed out the TV. Balcony was plenty big for the 2 of us. We used it a lot. Me more then her as that is where I did my relaxing and smoking from.

Cabin wise, it was too small for my wife's liking. Her last 3 cabins have been either suites or disable rooms (she got spoiled). This cabin did not have a couch in it, which I truly missed. It did have 1 cushion chair with a back plus a But I knew this months before and though I would adjust. I did, but was not truly comfortable watching TV (we spend a lot of time in the cabin). The bathroom did not have a table or good place to put the bag containing tooth brushes, etc. All that was available was a corner of the sink, but it worked.

Without the balcony it would have been impossible for 3 adults. Having the fold down top bunk is a great idea. This cabin was in the very back of the ship, right over the engines and props. Noisily, with lots of motions. Don't reserve this cabin if you are prone to motion sickness.
The bathroom had problems the first night but maintenance fixed it with one phone call.
For a long distance cruise the cabin would have been impossibly small and cramped. It desperately needs fans tucked in corners for ventilation when the balcony doors are closed.

Good clean room. Loved having a window, but would have really loved a balcony.  Read entire member review.
Directly next to crew space and we could hear them walking around in the area next to ours at all times of the night. Otherwise it was nice being directly around the corner from the elevators. Nice being at the head of the ship so a quick elevator trip would get us to the shows and dinner!  Read entire member review.
Fun in the Sun!!!!! by RICKnVICK
We liked our cabin a lot. Lots of closet space! Probably the most we have ever had! Larger bathroom as well. Great big window! We loved it!  Read entire member review.
Great closet space and decently roomy cabin for 4 people.  Read entire member review.
Plenty of space, small closet, walls too thin!  Read entire member review.
We had an inside cabin. Bedding was super comfy. The bath was very small. We made it work. Our room steward, Ben, was great.  Read entire member review.

Noisy rooms with drunks roaming the halls at night. Light comes under the doors.  Read entire member review.
Inside cabin on the Upper Deck, large comfortable bed, plenty of storage room, quiet.  Read entire member review.
Bottom deck, forward. Plenty of space, practically motionless. Recommended!  Read entire member review.

The pull down bed was very difficult to climb up into. Nothing to hold any belongings while up there. ..and with all the technology aboard nowadays...ONLY 1 outlet for charging electronics...curling irons, etc. No blow dryers (many offer this)

Perfect service and cabin was always very clean. The shower backed up a couple of times but nothing major to worry about. Inside cabins are the best for night night sleep.

The cabin was for two adults and one 12 year old. There was a small bed on the floor for my grandson. It was in the way and very small. His feet hung off. I would prefer the bunk in the room. I would not have booked that room had I known.  Read entire member review.
Beds are old and worn out. Shower nice size. Deck four toward mid or aft very noisy.  Read entire member review.
Fun for all Ages on Ecstasy by Lumbertoncruisers
bathroom had mildly bad odor, bring your own hangers, enjoyed ocean view, extra trundle bed on floor would be too small for anyone older than 10, beds were snuggly with lots of pillows and fluffy white duvets, beach and bathroom towels were continually replaced throughout the trip  Read entire member review.

Tiny closets, small showers tight hallways.  Read entire member review.

Our room was small (185 square feet) but fine for the 2 of us. We were really only in the room to shower and sleep. There was ample hanging space and shelving, our suitcase wouldn't fit under the bed, but it stood up in the corner just fine and gave us a place to rest our phones etc. We took a extension cord as we knew there would only be one plug in the room, and was glad we did, as we had 3 things to plug in. The bed was comfortable (and the steward made it every day, I loved that!), the room service was great. The bathroom was about as big as a bathroom on an airplane, a little tight! There is nowhere to put your make up, etc. but there is an ample counter in the room. Next time I'll take an over the door shoe hanger so I can store deodorant, brush, toothpaste in that. The room is very dark, but we left the bathroom light on, with the door mostly closed, and that was fine. I liked the fake window curtain, it gave the illusion of a window, which helped, psychologically. I also liked the webcam channel on the television. We left it on and watched the bow of the ship the whole time, so there was always movement on the horizon. Apparently this is the way to combat motion sickness, to always let your eyes see motion so that your inner ear fluid realizes it really is moving. This was very helpful, particularly in an interior room. We were on deck 6, and it was also helpful to know that ALL of the decks are way above the water line. For some reason, I thought the low decks were in the bottom of the ship (below the water line) and that is not true. Our room was completely quiet, even though the ship was full. I liked being midship as the front of the shop does seem to have a bit more motion as it hits the waves first, or something like that! There was a safe in the room which worked well for us, but no hairdryer, no coffeepot. There were 2 bathrobes, lots of towels, soap/shampoo dispenser, a retractable clothes line. All in all, it was fine for us, I think if you're a bit on the heavy side, it might be a bit cramped, as we did bump into each other and we're just average size. I liked being this close to the elevators and the stairs and the main Lido deck.

Right around the corner from an elevator - loved it. Great location. Only complaint was the window was dirty on the outside so we couldn't see out very well.  Read entire member review.
Nice size. Good sized bathroom. Newly updated bath fixtures.  Read entire member review.

Cabin small but adequate. good storage under the bed. two huge closets, safe, small bathroom, but had what it should have. nice location, sandwiched between two cabin floors. close to elevators  Read entire member review.
Very disappointed by Hillwood
Smelly bathroom, light by the mirror worked sporadically, not a good place when the boat was rocking.  Read entire member review.
Loved the location and the balcony. Did occasionally notice the sewerage smell others have described while in the hallway, but never in the room itself. Area was quiet.  Read entire member review.
I am hooked by kaylaw25
Good location, quiet, small room, small bathroom, great closet space, no window very dark when you turn the lights off. if you need light I suggest bringing a nightlight. also bring a power strip there is only one outlet in the bathroom and one next to the bed. Also the over the door shoe rack was the best $5 I spent. keys, sail and sign card, passport, lotion, earrings, WHATEVER I needed to keep track of was at my fintgertips especially when the room was so small.  Read entire member review.
Good storage space. Next to Grand Atrium and Internet Cafe. Occasional noise, but usually fine. Beds could be more comfortable. Less personal attention than previous cruises.  Read entire member review.
Fun Time by bystech77

Our room was U90. It was a Grand Extended Suite. Very nice inside. Our Cabin Steward was very helpful every day and night. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room. Bad part was the water that came from the faucet looked like pee. It was brown. Buy bottled water to drink. the balcony was awesome. We had 2 lounge chairs as well as a table with 2 chairs. Very nice and relaxing.

This cabin was as bigger than many hotel rooms I've stayed in. The balcony was huge, two loungers and two chairs with room to spare. The walk in closet had a safe and plenty of space for all of our stuff. There were many more drawers than we needed and lots of counter space as well. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well, there was very little noise in this part of the ship. The cabin is also very convinient to the public areas of the ship.  Read entire member review.
we normally take an inside cabin when we cruise and are very happy with it. this cruise we received a 2 category upgrade and had a cabin with a window. we enjoyed it very much but will be returning to an inside cabin when we cruise in the future. we were in m 188. our stateroom was near an elevator, which we had requested, in spite of that the room was very quiet. this room was not any larger than our regular inside cabins, and it had sufficient room to get around. it had two large closets with plenty of hangers. another full closet of drawers, that also held the free safe. we had a desk/burrow piece that also had drawers. there was certainly enough room to stow our luggage. our room had the normal amenities, a flat screen wall TV, desk chair and refrigerator that we had requested. this room had 2 single beds and a bunk bed attached to one wall, which we did not use. the room decor was very nice. our bathroom, although a little smaller, it seemed to me, than the other ships we have been on, was fine. clean and everything worked fine. we were very happy with the room and its location on the ship.  Read entire member review.

Not So Ecstatic by txcharley
WEIRD configuration so there was no headboard and if you slept at the head of the bed, you would crack your head every time you raised up. Bedrails for the upper bunks were stored in the closet, taking up already VERY limited space. No hot water for the shower for 2 days. Basically not very comfortable.  Read entire member review.
