We had a D1 cabin on Deck 10. Our cabin attendant was superb, very observant, and attentive to our needs. She always had a welcoming smile and made us feel very welcomed. The cabin itself was all we could ask for. The beds were extremely comfortable, the flat panel TV tucked away against the wall gave extra added space. The balcony on the D1 Class was deeper than I remembered and a pleasant surprise. The only negative thing I can say is that the phone display lacks enough lighting to see what time it is. Really, that is the only bad thing I can say!!!!  Read entire member review.

Great cabin on deck 10 - 1304, mid ship. Roomy, large balcony. Has a flat screen TV. It is truly mid ship so no matter where you get off the elevator or stairs, it's a good walk to the cabin. Never heard any noise from next door or the pool deck above. This is a connecting room, which would be good for a larger party.  Read entire member review.

1308 Balcony. Plenty of room, good closet space. An be a little noisy from the bands on the pool deck during the day. Convenient spot.  Read entire member review.

About the same size as a junior suite but with standard furnishings and bathroom. Oversized balcony with views astern and to one side. Almost certainly one of the best two non-suite cabins on the ship.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 1400 on Liberty of the Seas. This was a great aft cabin in the starboard corner on Deck 10. It is a D1, I believe. It is about the size of a hotel room, which is quite a big larger than an average balcony cabin. There is a pole in the cabin, but that was not a problem. The balcony was larger and very nice since it has a shaded area as well as a sunny area. It is under the windjammer, but we were never bothered by noise from above. Great cabin!  Read entire member review.

1400 - large, quiet and very private stateroom that felt like a suite. Huge balcony. Slept 4 comfortably.  Read entire member review.

I picked out a corner cabin (category D1)on the stern (the rear) of the ship, because I knew that the balcony cabins on the stern have a larger balcony area, than your regular balcony cabins. Our particular cabin was on Deck 10, and it was HUGE! It was very wide, and deep, more like a large Suite Cabin really. It was also very quiet back there, and a retreat away from the rest of the ship. You can sit out there and enjoy your privacy, and enjoy the view slowly receding in the distance, or stand at the railing watching the ships wake. We have booked a Junior Suite once before on a RCCL ship, which was large and very enjoyable; but my husband felt that this was the best cabin we have ever had the pleasure of cruising in.  Read entire member review.

State room 1402 is amazing! Extra wide to accommodate the pull out sofa bed and king bed (two twins together). Huge balcony with room for two chaises, two chairs and small table. Great view from balcony! It was quiet, too. I would highly recommend it if you want suite luxury without paying for it!  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was surprisingly roomy. The balcony had 3 chairs and a small table. The closet had plenty of room for hanging items with about 12 hangers, and additional shelving. The sofa folded out futon-style at night for our kids, and during the day was magically back into a couch. Our room attendant was pleasant and helpful. I asked to have the minibar items removed so we could use the fridge for our purchased bottle water & juice package, and she took care of it right away. We had fresh ice & glasses twice a day as well The main bed was advertised as a queen when moved together but felt bigger than that! It was very comfy and the sheets were super soft. No noise from other cabins or deck 11 lounge chairs above.  Read entire member review.

Lovely cabin - I like being on the back of the ship! Spacious with a sofa and chair and table. The bed was really comfy, the sheets were very, very nice, towels sparkling white and soft. There are two outlets on the desk which was enough for one person (and typical for the ships I've been on in the past), so you might want to consider packing an extension cord if you share the cabin or have many items that need charging.) A hair dryer is provided in the top drawer of the desk and has its own electric outlet. The deck is covered so on the few mornings when we encountered rain, you could still sit outside and enjoy the extra space the deck provides. There are two negatives to this cabin located on deck 11: One is that it is located under Windjammer (deck 12) and every morning at 3am or 4am I was wakened by what sounded like chairs and tables being moved or assembled or something. It was a muffled sound that went on for a while. Not quite sure what they were doing up there. Also, the deck overlooks an extended deck of the suite below...and if there are smokers down there (which there were) and you are not a smoker, you could possibly have to suffer wafts of smoke from below. (Fortunately, the family below used a smokeless ashtray outside on their deck, so this wasn't an issue for my stay.)  Read entire member review.

Great Cruise on Liberty by DJSteve552003
Tiny closet, great balcony, quiet location except for kid noise sometimes. If food trays were left outside of the cabins they would kick the items all over the hall ways. I had concern for people in wheelchairs that had to maneuver around them.  Read entire member review.

Literally five steps from the elevators. First room when you step into the hallway. Still never heard any loud noises at all. Saved a lot of long walks.  Read entire member review.

The state room was really good. Enough room to be very comfortable and we had a balcony. I will never go on a cruise with out a balcony. Just a great place to sit and eat and watch the waves go by. The cabin staff was good and kept the place extremely clean. Bathroom were good, and large enough to be used. The ship was really nice. I have sailed on her sister-ship and this one had been refurbished. Nice Job.

Cabin was MUCH larger than any RCCL balcony we've had before. The balcony itself could have easily accommodated 2 loungers if they had been available. Long walk from elevators but a nice quiet location; good steward service but we missed the towel animals and chocolates that are apparently a thing of the past.

Staterooms were not ready when we boarded. We proceeded to the Windjammer which was also not crowded yet. (Another perk of arriving early). Our cabin was nice. We booked category PR- Promenade 7615. It was my second time in a Promenade cabin. Everything was clean and in working order. It would have been nice to have a few more drawers but it was adequate especially for a short cruise. I liked having two loveseats. We had plenty of seating. The interesting thing is that we thought we might hear noise from the mall area late at night. We didn’t really. Instead we heard our neighbor’s television. I think they slept with it on or just stayed up really late. We heard it several times throughout the night. We had an adjoining cabin. If you are sensitive about noise, I’d avoid the adjoining cabin. Another small gripe, the window was scummy. It made it really difficult to see clearly. Our Promenade view was covered in haze.

Superior stateroom with balcony in aft port section. This was very good. The bathroom was good with an excellent shower. Service in the cabins was very good. The attendant was helpful and engaging. We can definitely recomend this.  Read entire member review.

7710 Aft balcony. This cabin in at the very back of the ship. The balcony was a decent size and had 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs and a small table. It was great for just relaxing and a great place for drinking my morning coffee. There didn't seem to be a lot of storage space but we made it work. The closet elevator is a ways away but that's to be expected being at the very back and worth it. 7499 inside room. Typical inside stateroom with ample space for our 2 boys.  Read entire member review.

quiet location, but on the opposite side of most of the ship's activities, from balcony can see crew members on the bridge.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was clean. It is a standard cruise cabin. The last couple of cruises we have had a suite, so it was different to go back to a smaller cabin. Not bad at all. I did like the size of the balcony. My only real complaint was the shampoo was awful (bring your own) and we all hated the pillows. The sofa bed was a good size. We were able to store all of our suite cases under the bed. There seemed to be plenty of storage for our clothes. And there were a lot of hangers in the closet (a plus).  Read entire member review.

Great location, quiet hallway, bed was comfortable and balcony had a great view. Closet was roomy - just wish the shower was a little bigger :)  Read entire member review.

Better quality amenities--shampoo and shower gel. Wash cloths or sponges for shower, and a shower cap. Sewing kit needed. There were plenty of hangers, and storage spaces. Bed cover--was a rather heavy duvet, a lighter cover for summer would be better. The AC tended to get cold. Difficult to regulate hot water flow. Ran very hot, water did not have a lot of pressure. Foot stools would be nice on balcony. Good lighting.  Read entire member review.

Loved the beds. The sofa bed was great for someone who likes a hard mattress. The other beds were soft, which was just perfect for our group. We like the shower with a sliding door rather than curtain. The location was good and reasonably close to the elevators. It was very convenient to the MDR's and library. It was very quiet. We didn't hear any outside noise. The view was great on the balcony and we found it to be a good size. There were two chairs, table and a lounger. We had three in our room and had to move our little coffee table out onto the balcony as it was too crowded when the sofa was made into a bed. We would have liked a little more closet and drawer space. For 3 women we needed more storage room for a 7 day cruise.  Read entire member review.

We had a center hump (bump out) cabin and this was a great choice! Not only was the cabin more than adequate for 2, we could see to the bow and the stern with no obstructions. It was convenient to the elevator and stairs too.  Read entire member review.

The room was clean except for the toilets had some black debris at the bottom. When I asked our stateroom attendant, he said they are aware of this and that the rubber seals are disintegrating. As long as it is clean and flushes, I'm good. The balcony was and is our favorite part of the room. We've only not purchased a balcony once and we will never not get one.

cabin # 9632 D1 balcony almost a perfect location..4 doors down from the elevator, far enough not to hear noise, close enough to get to the elevators & stairs quickly. A/C terrific.Water Pressure & temp fine. Balcony at the beginning of the "hump"..great views ( been on hump before)...closet space OK, safe worked,TV had 30 channels ( multiple languages)..only negative: cabin was a bit squeaky when ship moved a bit more than usual. Other than that we LOVED the location!!  Read entire member review.

We stayed in 8518 the second balcony from the front of the ship, port side, deck 8. It was very quiet - I don't recall hearing much of anything in the way of noise outside in the hall or from above or below. There was noticeable movement in the rougher seas (but quite gentle in my opinion - i actually found the motion relaxing when trying to sleep). We had the two beds together and a sofa bed for the kids and as far as sleeping went, the arrangements were very good. Overall, the rooms are tight, but you are on a ship so it is expected. with 4 people in a room, you use up all the available closet and drawer space, but i think there were about 20 hangers in the closet and more shelves. You just had to be creative.  Read entire member review.

If you are looking at RC's website for any indication of room specifications, don't bank of it. I upgraded from a deluxe balcony room to a superior balcony room (a modest monetary upgrade) for an overall increase in size and chaise loungers on the balcony. What I got was a standard balcony room and two upright chairs. When inquiring about this, our stateroom attendant told us that the balcony was not large enough to accommodate chaise loungers, and the type of room I was supposed to get is actually on the very back of the ship and they are full. She directed me to Customer Relations stating that if they said it was okay to exchange the chairs then they would do so. Customer Relations was quick to recite "unfortunately the pictures on the website are not representative of the actual room size and amenities" but they would have someone exchange the chairs on the balcony. While it left little room for movement on the balcony it did make all the difference in being able to actually spend long periods of quality time on the small balcony, which on this cruise was a blessing. While no further accommodation was provided with regard to the incorrect room type, the room was well appointed and comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was claustrophobic with room for rotating under the shower head only. PS: 'Do Not Disturb' signs on your door will not work.  Read entire member review.
