Everything good except the beds, not particularly comfortable and obviously a split up double rather than genuine twins. Read entire member review. |

Cabin was not cleaned well, and cabin steward service was lacking throughout the cruise. The balcony was great, and the bed was comfortable. Nice shower. Adequate closet and bathroom space. Read entire member review. |

we were really happy with our cabin location mid ship on deck 9. Only a few decks up or down to where we wanted to be so we used the stairs rather than the elevator. We are sensitive to noise and this is a very quiet cabin. The only noise we heard was some kids running down the hallway every evening but that was very brief. We had families with small babies all around us but weren't disturbed at all. We also did not hear any plumbing noises or cabin doors slamming. Make sure the balcony door is shut properly or you will hear rattling all night. Might be a good idea to ask steward to show you how to properly secure it. Read entire member review. |

9078 - mid ship - immaculate. Lots of space for us to unpack for 4 people. Tip: use luggage bags that will fold flat, and put them under the bed. This left us with lots of shelf and floor space. Extra fold-down bearth in the room, which we did not anticipate, meant that each boy had their own bed. Main bed was amazingly comfortable. Bathrooms were very functional, despite their size. Room was located mid-way between the fore and mid-ship elevators, so there was minimal traffic by our door. Never heard a peep though the walls - hope our neighbours can say the same. Great mid ship balcony location. Quiet location. This cabin was on the Starboard (right) side of the ship...next time when leaving NYC I will select the Port (left) side of the ship to sail by the Statue of Liberty on the last day of our cruise as on the first day we are up on deck anyway!! Good location, close to mid ship elevators. Very little noise. Comfy, but seems VERY small. If you're traveling with more than 2 adults, consider a mini-suite Read entire member review. |

Not enough storage but there is always under the bed. The balcony room is not real usable once they pull the bed out of the ceiling and pull the sofa out. The ladder to the bunk is a pain and always in the way. The room feels really small for 4 but would be nice for 2. Read entire member review. |

Balcony room, bed comfortable, TV shows and movies were repeated throughout the ten days. Closet was decent size. Bathroom toilet started to smell on 3rd day of a porta potty even though it looked clean. Balcony door would not stay closed without locking the child lock. Read entire member review. |

Closet was good size. We did bring hangers from home because there are never enough on any cruise we have taken. Our room was great, right off the elevator and never bothered by noise. Balcony a good size, however, if you have smokers next door and you are not a smoker you will be very disappointed. Bed very comfortable. Our safe was locked when we got there but fixed right away. Size of the safe quite big, holds a lot. Bathroom adequate. Read entire member review. |

At first we thought the room was quite small. Hard for two folks to maneuver. Yet there was good storage space and the balcony was fine. Maybe a larger table on the balcony would be better. Read entire member review. |

If you're going to get a balcony you can take pieces from the sofa that rolls out into a bed and make a nest outside. HOWEVER - be aware they spray down the windows when docked and if your neighbor spill something next door your nest might get wet too.
Also be aware there may be a person in the maintenance rover that runs along the ship. If you're shy you may want to close the drapes before getting naked in your room - of if your like me you'll wait until you hear the guy outside and throw it open. Luckily the people in the maintenance rover are strapped right too it so they don't fall too far.
If you can reach behind the lowest drawer in the closet unit sometimes you can find treasure from the previous guests - or as in my case a pair of granny panties and a lady's shirt. We had a bonus sock under our bed too and we were not billed for any of those items - BONUS! Read entire member review. |

We were in cabin 10066, a balcony cabin mid ship. Although it was not on the port side of the ship, we happened to be the side facing the ports other than departing from Venice. Would stay in this room again in a heartbeat. Read entire member review. |

Plenty of closet space.
Lighting could be better. Higher watt bulbs, maybe?

Our cabin was midship starbord side - we generally request the same cabin each time given it's convenient proximity to the stairs and elevators. We find this cabin (10098) to be perfect for the three of us and there's more than enough space for all our clothes, etc, in the cubby holes and we always store our luggage under the bed to keep the room less cluttered. Our room steward "Dedy" was phenominal. He was always pleasant and no request was too mundane or bothersome for him. A simple request for water in a pitcher was met with great enthusiasm and we never were thirsty or lacked ice or anything else on our cruise. NCL needs to "clone" Dedy! In a word he was wonderful! Great Balcony but depending on what 2 rooms you get, the dividing door can be a bother when opened. Some of the rooms have the sliding door to the balcony facing each other. So no matter which way you put the divider it is blocking someones entrance to their balcony. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 10106, mid ship, balcony. Plenty of room for our week's worth of clothes in drawers, on shelves and in closet. I did not like where the full length mirror was located by bed. You couldn't step back and look at yourself very well. The toilet area was small and not good for long legged people. Bed was comfortable. Fridge was small. Balcony was decent size. TV was tiny and very very limited channels. Liked the mirror on wall behind the head of the bed. Read entire member review. |

We had a balcony room for four people. Well the drop down bed from the ceiling was parallel to the balcony which blocked the view of the ocean. :( I had hope to see the ocean at night. Just seemed like more bad planning.

cabin very centrally situated. Quiet cabin lots of storage space. American and European sockets. Coffee maker provided and bath robes. Small fridge. Safe. Good seating area. Could be awkward getting past each other when using the European plug for hair tongs etc as mirror is close to this. Balcony good size two chairs and small table.Has a light outside. TV only has Skynews unless you want to pay to watch a movie. Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. Good shower, shower gel and shampoo provided. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 10120. Mid-ship balcony. Standard cabin. A bit small after being in a Mini-suite. Not much in the flat space catagory to put things down. I prefer the BB cabins further aft. Closer to the stairway/elevators and buffet. Mini-suites are worth the extra bucks if you can afford it. Read entire member review. |

Balcony cabin was the standard that we are use to. The bathroom layout on the NCL Gem was somewhat roomier than those on the Royal Caribbean ships. When we first started to unpack I noticed a thick layer of dust on all the top shelves of the wardrobe area. Also the dust ruffle on the bed looked like it had been used to mop the side of the ship. We notified the steward of the discrepancies and he immediately took care of these problems.
After the first day at sea, a very rough one, we noticed that all of a sudden the frame around the sliding glass door started to intermittently pop while we were trying to sleep. After 3 sleepless nights and 3 maintenance men we finally ended up with all the hardware surrounding the door loosened and a large paint stick jammed through the handle of the sliding glass door in order to stop the noise. Room is small but adequate. Bathroom is reasonable size, standard closet for most cabins. We had 6 pieces of luggage for 3 people. We were able to totally unpack and stow all luggage under the bed, and hang dress clothes. Plenty of drawer and shelf space for all the rest. For the price not bad at all. Very quiet room, balcony was nice, could fit 4 chairs if needed. We had connecting rooms, so we put all the chairs on one balcony so the adults could sit together during sunset times. 10126 nice bathroom, did not like four person layout after 7pm when beds were down we could not get on balcony, had to crawl over bed and under bunk. Plenty of storage and beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was top notch unlike Jewel last year. Room steward was awful for this room, came in it was dirty and items under bed and on desk were left. No hellos all week. We always try to choose a cabin that is close to the Forward elevators. This assures that we can move around the ship easily. There was a large family that had multiple staterooms and we had to call security one night when they herded all of the children into the room next to ours and they were noisy after 11 pm. Security handled the situation very well, and we had a peaceful time for the duration of the cruise. Being a Latitudes member has some benefits, but we are now convinced that booking directly with NCL is more expensive than booking on other Websites. NCL promises the lowest price, guaranteed; but, after you pay for the cruise and find less expensive prices elsewhere, it's too late! In the past 3 years, we have had no less than 5 cruise consultants with NCL. The turnover must be horrible! Read entire member review. |

Our cabin was nice - spacious enough for the two of us. The bathroom was nicer than I remember from other ships in the past and in my opinion it was a very decent size. Replacing shower curtains with shower doors as they have done on the Gem was wonderful.
Our balcony was great - big enough for the two of us to sit out there with drinks and watch the sunset (or with coffee in the morning for the sunrise). The ONLY problem with our balcony was when folks in the nearby cabins used their balcony to smoke. It was so bad that sometimes we had to come inside - the smoke was literally coming at us from both sides. With the upcoming restrictions (January, I believe), when folks will no longer be able to smoke in their cabin - the smoking issue on the balcony will be even worse. The only solution I can see to this, if they don't want to completely prohibit smoking on the balconies, would be to have one side of the ship smoking, and the other side non-smoking. The next best scenario would be to have big sections of balcony cabins as smoke-free - that would at least help the situation a bit.

Great balcony, not much storage or outlets. Glad we brought a power strip and extension cord. Great blow dryer. Better like to walk because you are right in the middle between forward and midship. Have to walk for elevators either way, but it was nice and quiet. Read entire member review. |

Cabin was very clean and quiet. We could hear people in the next cabins when they were on their balconies, but not from inside the rooms. There was no noise from above or below areas. Lots of storage space and plenty of space for a couple. Read entire member review. |

This room was perfect. I had a nice size balcony with two chairs and a table. It is a forward cabin. The cabin has it's own coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. There is a small sofa and coffee table. A straight back chair - kinda like what you would find in a schoolroom. There is a small vanity area with its own light and were the electric plug is located. There is a little stool under the vanity. This is also where the hair dryer is located. I like the fact that the shower had a sliding door not a curtain. I kept the water in and the floor dry. The toilette also has a sliding door for privacy.
The only down fall is with everything that is in this room there isn't alot of room to move around in. I'm a solo traveler so I didn't mind it so much. But I could see falling over each other if there were two or more in the room. Read entire member review. |

We were very happy with Stateroom 10606. More than enough room for our needs. It was in a great location with easy access to the elevators. The only complaint that we had is that you could hear toilets from other staterooms. We had never experience that situation before. Read entire member review. |

The cabin was small. It was reasonably quiet (except for the occasional rowdy teens running up and down the hall). The storage was adequate. Bed was comfortable. We were finally able to enjoy a balcony as we weren't surrounded by smoking passengers which was great. Cruise ships should really group smokers in one section where they won't effect the non-smokers. Read entire member review. |

My wife had booked a balcony cabin which was located on deck 10, both of us felt this was the smallest balcony cabin we have ever had on any cruise ship. We ended up having to rearrange some of the furniture to give us some extra room, not well designed. There was only one bedside table which consisted of 2 open shelves, no drawer. Deck 10 mid balcony. Great location easy to walk up or down stairs to eat or go to the pool instead of having to wait for elevators. The balcony has just enough room for 2. The room had good lighting and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was 3 compartments: toilet sink and shower, which made it easier for 2 of us to use at once if necessary. The bed was very comfortable, linens were high quality. Shampoo and body wash were provided in the shower, as well as a little clothes line for wet bathing suits. The water pressure was very strong. I actually had to adjust it down because it stung my skin. Read entire member review. |

The cabin was much smaller than expect. The vanity was in an awkward location at the corner of the bed, so if I was sitting at the vanity, my husband would have to climb on the bed to get to the other side of the room. The bathroom was normal sized for a cruise ship and got the job done. The king size bed was two twins pushed together, as most cruise ships do, but unfortunately mine and my husband's feet would hang off. I am only 5'6 Read entire member review. |
