Our balcony stateroom was on the small side compared to Carnival's. It offered more drawer space, but less hanging space. The bathroom, and particularly the shower, were tiny but marginally sufficient. (My wife mentioned inadequate shelf space for two people.) My only real complaint about our cabin was the way it was laid out. The TV and sofa were on the same wall which meant that the only place you watch was from the bed. It seemed to me that if the desk and sofa were to swap walls (they were across from each other), that the room would have been more functional. As for the decor, which was predominantly blue, I was neither offended, nor inspired by it. But I do prefer warm colors over cool colors in a small space. But that is highly subjective, I realize.

Too noisy! Very small room. Originally had a room higher in the ship and was told that moving down a few floors was not a huge size difference, but it was. Stick with cabins from 11 up.
I will say, however, that the cabins on the fifth floor (with windows) was very spacious when two beds are against the window wall. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 9223
Limited clothing storage
lots of room under the bed for empty suitcases
Adjoining door to 9225 - but as we did not know the guests in 9225 there was a large empty space where the door was. Could have used a chair or two.
Couch was used as a bed and therefore there was no place to sit during the day.
Courch is sold as a double couch. It is actually a couch that had a trundle bed and is basically 2 single beds if you need 4 in a room.
Shower is small, bathroom is typical of any modern ship

Cabin 9227 aft on deck 9 - Small amount of vibration in normal sea conditions, however if the sea was rough this could potentially be a problem. Very little noise when the balcony door was closed, however when the door was open or when sitting on the balcony the noise of the wake was so loud that you could not hear people speak. The balcony was well sheltered from the wind and was a sun trap all afternoon. Inside the cabin there was no disturbance from neighbouring cabins.
The cabin was pleasantly decorated and furnished, the king size bed was very comfortable. There was only just enough storage for two people (this was a 16 day cruise).
The actual size of the cabin was quite small. The bathroom was compact but adequate, there was always plenty of hot water.
The position of this cabin meant that it was along walk from any of the entertainment areas, but we were aware of this and it was not a problem to us, however there was a back lift that took us directly to the rear of both restaurants. Read entire member review. |

We were a party of three with 2 cabins - one with balcony and one inside.
Cabin 9227 with balcony situated abeam of the rear of the ship on Deck 9 - lovely position above the wake of the ship. Roomy, clean, comfortably appointed & equipped. Bijoux bathroom but adequate. Storage just about okay for 2 people for 2 weeks. Nice balcony - sheltered, but would have liked more depth - 4 chairs & table.
Also Cabin 9210 booked for single occupancy - near to 9227 - smaller, but adequate size for one person, although the large bed left little room to move around the cabin. Similar interior features to 9227. Read entire member review. |

My wife and I recently returned from our 7-day cruise on the MSC Poesia (sailed 4/6/13). It was our second journey on MSC, (the first one being on its sister ship, the Orchestra), and truly one of the best cruising experiences we've had in recent years.
Our trip started on a sour note, unfortunately. We had booked the cruise through MSC's own travel agents. Although we were not able to use our Discover card to pay for the cruise, we were told (twice), that the credit card would be accepted onboard for our shipboard expenses. Wrong! We found ourselves sailing with virtually NO line of credit!
On the bright side, the woman at the Accounting desk (Kayleigh, from South Africa), was very knowledgeable and sympathetic. She came to trust us during the week, and consistently advanced.

Great midship location, covered balcony, small bathroom. We could not leave the balcony door open because if we opened the door to the hall, it created a wind tunnel effect. We have not had this problem with other balcony cabons. Read entire member review. |

A clock would be helpful. Otherwise, cabin was clean and well-appointed. We used our balcony often. Located above us was the pool area and we sometimes heard the scraping noises of pool furniture as it was moved. Liked the sliding glass doors as they did not slam when closed. the cabins were very good the furnishings great the balcony was good sized and you could hear no noise from the hallway or other rooms. This ship had extremely good ballast which went into action when we hit cyclone Egor crossing the Atlantic, there was very little motion considering we had 4 metre waves for 24 hrs almost no motion in the rooms and we were placed mid ship Read entire member review. |

Hallways were quiet and cabin was immaculate. They even did a thorough cleaning of the balcony while we were there. Read entire member review. |

The cabin was clean and nice - but small. Not nearly enough hangers. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. I brought my own - thank goodness! There was no room to hang dry swim suit and hand washed items. Overall pretty good - given it had some maintenance issues - toilet and door malfunctioned. The TV lacked options for entertainment in English and was very small. Not enough outlets to charge 3 things at night.
