We had SV category. 194 sq. feet but not well layed out. Limited stoage space but lots of privacy due to being at the aft of the ship. Read entire member review. |

Cabin was spacious and well appointed. quite a walk from the elevators but not in a bad position for dining and getting off the ship. Read entire member review. |

No problems at all. No soot. Maybe, just be aware that there isn't a ton of privacy (cabins above can see down onto your veranda. Also, you can't look directly down at the water. The blue top of the Tuscan Grille protrudes out about six feet from the deck of your veranda. Still, a very nice cabin out of the wind with very little noise. Read entire member review. |

Cabin was modern, attractive, clean...but on the small side. Amenities were nothing special. Storage space (eg. drawers) was limited and sparse. Sunset Veranda cabins are so far from elevators and stairs that we didn't have to walk on the exercise track. Read entire member review. |

6312 ( and the cabins directly above it) have a wider veranda by about 3 feet than the other SV cabins. The depth is the same, just wider.
On the S Class ships, the SV cabins are a LONG way from the stairs and elevators and this should be considered by anyone who has difficulty in walking.
Cabin is quiet, we noticed no extraneous noise or any unpleasant odors. Read entire member review. |

We were in 7317, a sunset veranda (aft balcony) stateroom. It was a hike from the nearest elevator, but worth it. There was no hint of soot, nor was there significant noise. The sound of the wake was soothing. We did get some intense sun in the afternoons, but you can get that on a regular balcony. The two adjustable chairs and table were a better quality than on other lines, and it was great to sit there and watch the wake. Very relaxing. The beds were fine. The bathroom was nice, with thoughtfully arranged storage. The storage in the room was adequate but not generous. Nice sized closet with plenty of hangers. We appreciated that there was a daybed in this class of stateroom, though it was not comfortable to sit and read. It would be nice if there was comfortable seating in the cabin. Our room was adequate. The bathroom is the first thing you come across when walking in the door. The shower was adequate and they provide you with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap. The next thing is the closet. There could have been more hangers but we managed. The sofa is next with a little desk/makeup station, mini bar and 5 drawers for storage across from it. The blowdryers aren't very strong. The bed was by the window, it was comfortable. They always call them queen beds but I feel they are bigger than queen beds. My husband and I have no problems with space on their beds and we usually sleep on a king. The balcony on this room is a little larger than most. The balcony isn't covered but the way they are staggered on the back of the ship lends itself to privacy. The only way I could see my neighbors to the side or above was to stand at the rail. The stateroom had more storage room then we could use. The bathroom and shower were great. Loved ordering room service from the TV - and all the free movies.
We were on the back of the ship, and at times there was smoking above us -- and even a thrown butt onto our balcony. UNACCEPTABLE but I don't know what they can do about it.

Great oversize balcony. Liked the room, felt spacious. Bathroom was very nice, with good water pressure in the shower. Sound of the wake was particularly helpful in getting us to sleep and keeping us there. Wonderful white noise. Only quibble: A/V ports on the flat screen TV were disabled, preventing us from reviewing our videos, photos and watching movies from our iPod. Sliding door does not lock, so use the safe! Cabin 8315 is a Sunset Veranda on Fantail. We love looking out at the ship's wake. The cabin is comfortable and quiet with plenty of storage space and an outstanding interactive television system. Could use more drawer space but overall we were very happy with this cabin.
Keep in mind that almost all veranda cabins are the same size. Seems to me it is not worth paying the extra $$ for an Aqua Class or Concierge Class cabin on Solstice or Equinox. Read entire member review. |
