Cabin Rating

Good Room location, quiet and you get plenty of exercise walking to the elevators!

'lovely cabin, our cabin was on deck 6, our view was nice, but we had this floor area which had a life boat attatched to it, so it wasn't perfect! Always had the sun on it though.. very quiet and peaceful.  Read entire member review.

This was a good section of the ship but would enjoy being closer to the elevator.

A FABULOUS room. Really. Of course a second chair would have been nice. And a table should you desire room service.

Our cabin was near the bow of the ship. Given that the seas were calm, we never experienced any rough motion in our cabin. As we had a veranda and full sized doors, we could enjoy the fresh air and sit outside. Of course, this also meant that we were next to other cabins and at times we did not enjoy the loud voices from neighboring cabins. Being on the tenth floor, meant walking down five to seven floors for meals, shows, and departures, as well as walking back up. We were thoroughly pleased by our cabin. The small bathroom was exquisitely designed to be fully functional as well as comfortable and did not appear to be tight in any way. Our cabin attendant, Melvin, was incredibly attentive and ready and able to meet any need that we expressed, such as getting non-allergenic pillows for me, or ice, or an umbrella where there was none, etc. We found the bed to be as comfortable as any we have slept on anywhere. Plenty of drawer space. Robes, waste baskets regularly emptied, towels regularly replaced if we chose to have them replaced. Just, generally, a comfortable cabin experience.

I would not recommend this cabin. We thought we were between decks of cabins but had noise issues almost every night. We were close to storage or closets. We heard banging, moving of items, doors slamming and other noises.  Read entire member review.

Great location. Bed by the window. Loved leaving the curtains open and watching the sun come up. It started early!! Marvin was magnificent!! Best cabin steward ever!!

Inside deck10, aft. Larger than most of our cabins, at least in feel. Plenty of storage for our needs and the closet, bath, and cabin doors do not bang into each other. Shower was noticable larger than most. Quiet location  Read entire member review.

Spacious and well thought out. Very nice.

The Concierge cabin (1236) had great bedding, nice bath and a very nice verandah the only downer was the amount of storage space.  Read entire member review.

Great views, clean, comfortable, spacious (for a cabin). Great location, not far from stairs or elevator, if you care.
However, the loud sound of other cabin doors closing disturbed us often!

Cabin 1503 is under the gym area. During the night, we were awoken by banging. Maybe weights were being dropped? One morning after I completed a workout, I heard awful noise behind me. It proved to be over our cabin and a Celebrity trainer was opening huge machines and dropping them on the floor. More consideration is needed by the employees.  Read entire member review.

1523- Aquaclass cabin. Lots of storage, very quiet no noise from above, great balcony.
1532- Inside cabin, very quiet, lots of storage
7247- Regular balcony cabin, no noise, center of ship, great storage, balcony a little larger and still private due to jog out on ship. Good location. Lifeboats right below.

Great bathroom, bed is next to closet which presents a challenge on dressing, good location right around the corner from the stairs and elevator and just a few doors down from the spa entrance, could hear voices occasionally in cabin next door if we did not have tv or music on.  Read entire member review.
Great cabin. Plenty of room for two, including two large suit cases. Storage for 1 under the bed and one on the side of the couch. Great bathrooms. Don't get the Aqua Class for the shower upgrade if your thinking of it. The designer shower head isn't worth it. No water pressure. Negatives: Room 1551 has a large ugly piece of the ship hanging in the middle of your view from the balcony. Was not mentioned in the booking process and we had several room choices. Very clean room. Very comfortable beds  Read entire member review.

Bed is next to the balcony. Quite a bit of noise from Deck 12 chairs being dragged at all hours. Room was in top shape and we had an excellent steward and assistant. Kept us in water and apples and made the cute towel animals for us twice.

We stayed in Aqua Class, cabin 1578 on deck 11. Although this cabin seemed somewhat smaller than the one we stayed in on the Millennium it was sufficient enough to suit our needs. We were met with a nice chilled bottle of Champagne upon arrival to our room. A nice touch. The queen sized bed was very comfortable and relaxing. Room service was tops as our cabin was clean and neat each and every day. The ice was kept refreshed as needed and we were offered two bottles of spring water each day as well. A nice balcony and excellent view was a great addition. I believe there were about 15 hangers or so in our closet, but we also brought along a dozen extra just in case. Glad we did. Drawer space was small, but suited our needs once again. Bathroom was small but not over crowded with fixtures. Water pressure and temperature were all perfect. Great maximum shower head and jet streams included in the shower stall. Clean rugs and no odor. Although we didn't use them, there were two nice, thick cotton bathrobes and slippers included with our room. The hallways on this cruise were always quiet and clean. No noisy neighbors, too. That was a plus. To sum it up we were very happy with sailing on the Celebrity Solstice and will continue to book this cruise line in our future! Thanks, Celebrity!!  Read entire member review.

1596 - Great view and almost always facing port when docked. Did hear shuffling of chairs from the pool deck above during the day, but it was not extremely loud.

Very spacious maintained to perfection by the best butler and room attendant we have experienced.
No noise from either the passage our above or adjoining
Perfectly positioned in the midships.
Great bathroom with twin basins, rainshower and spa bath.
Second toilet and handbasin was a bonus.
We were presented with a bottle of wine, scotch and vodka as well as mixers.
Afternoon tea was to the room at 4.00pm
Breakfast to your cabin by the butler was a welcome relief.

1621... Aquaspa class, not as big as we had thought it would be, but well appointed, excellent bathroom/shower with power jets. Balcony small, but big enough for 2. very comfy bed. Liked all the extras.... canapes, champagne, breakfasts were good, but if you ordered hot food it was almost cold. Cabin steward was exceptional. Plenty of hanging space, very happy overall.  Read entire member review.

Our room in Aqua Class was well maintained and clean, I'm not sure how he did it, but we never saw the room Steward, until we had a question or needed something extra, yet the room was always cleaned and restocked.

Good service. Upon initial inspection, the door security lock would not lock properly and the volume was not working for the TV. After a phone call, they were resolved within a few hours.

Starboard views enabled you to see the docks of the ports.

Excellent cruise by chef2die4

Cabin well laid-out and spotlessly clean. Our neighbors were noisy on their balcony, which made it rather noisy on ours, but that was not Celebrity's fault. Bathroom, while small, had plenty of storage. Hallway noise did come through occasionally, but not worth worrying about--we were so far aft that there was not much traffic.

Cabin 1663 was perfect for us. It sits aft and on a corner so you get an extended balcony. It has a mini bar with a fridge, and places to put alcohol, should you purchase any. Tons of storage space, and a very nice bathroom with a big tub and shower. My Dad and stepmom came with us and they got an inside cabin. Every night they'd join us in our cabin, which was definitely big enough for four, and sometimes we'd sit on the balcony and have a drink. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

We felt that we had the best view off the ship. Aft, corner, full view of everything on Deck 11. Our friends had the Aqua Class room next to us, #1668. It made cruising the Glacier an adventure we will never duplicate. Private and Secure. You will love this suite.

We booked an aft balcony cabin in Aqua Class on deck 11.

Cabin: the cabin itself was just like the photography online and/or in the brochure. One enters near the bathroom, bed next to the closet, sitting area near the balcony. The balcony hosted loungers with ottomans and a table. We didn't bring any additional storage (packing cubes, shoe organizers, etc.) and didn't need them as the cabin provides ample storage cubbies both in the cabin and the bathroom. The bathroom was nice with spa-like shower and jets, great water pressure, and nice towels. Used the provided toiletries with no complaints. There is only one plug-in in the bathroom, and it does not allow for plugs with "male" parts of different sizes; I just used the vanity area near the balcony.

Aqua Class: provided robes, large/softer bath towels, slippers, draw-string back back, tote bag with removable pouch, toiletries, infused water/tea, fresh fruit, daily canapes, pillow menu (used both the body pillow and the isotonic pillow)--water/tea, fruit, and canapes were updated/replaced/served daily

Aft: beautiful, panoramic scenes with whales viewed more than one in the wake from the ship; with little to no wind, we left the door open every night to hear the lulling of the water. My husband wants to only book aft from this point forward--he loved it!

Deck 11: great location--two floors under Ocean View Bar and Sunset Bar and didn't hear anything from the public venue. On the same deck as the relaxation room, a perk for AQ, with the entrance starboard forward (so you don't have to go in the main entrance of the Aqua Spa on deck 12). Also, just one flight of stairs from everything happening on deck 12 (buffet, pool, Solarium, Aqua Spa Cafe, spa & amenities), so can skip the elevators. High enough above the main foyer to avoid performances, but only if you wish.

We were on deck 12 (resort deck), room 2102 (starboard side). This is a very good room with a great view of the inside passage going north. We found it surprisingly spacious. It is one floor below the large OceanView Cafe which made meals quite accessible. This is the final stateroom on the starboard side before entering the public area of deck 12. It was nevertheless very quiet. The only drawback, if there was one, was the occasional (rare) odor of sewer gas - very slight and only twice - from the ladies restroom which was the next area toward the front of the ship. The beds in this concierge class room are very comfortable and we can be a bit picky about bedding.

Alaska: So Much Fun by Barmerman

This room is among a select few that have a larger than normal deck. We really like these rooms. Why am I telling you this?

 Read entire member review.

The only complaint about our room was that it was very noisy as it was right under the buffet. Lots of banging and rolling carts late at night while we were trying to sleep.

#2129 was close to the Butler's galley, but very quiet anyway, and with very fast service for morning coffee, ice bucket refills, etc. Lots of room under beds to store large suitcases. Bath towels big & soft; shower strong & lots of hot water. Set of lights on dimmer switch created a nice ambiance in the evening for the cocktail hour.  Read entire member review.

Our stateroom on deck 12 was AWFUL. Specifically we were in 2136, but all the cabins in that location are affected by OceanView Café service area directly above. Being below OceanView Café is fine, but "aft" is the service area where they are rolling carts around 24 hours a day. Literally it sounds like you are under a bowling alley ALL DAY and NIGHT, yes, even at 3am. It's terrible and all the rooms in that area are the same. It's a real shame Celebrity does not disclose this as they do "Obstructed View" rooms. Everyone on the ship knows of this problem from our Butler to the Guest Relations. The problem with these rooms should be DISCLOSED by Celebrity. We paid over $5000. for our SkySuite. Celebrity did try to correct the problem by letting us sleep in a different cabin on deck 6, BUT seriously it was horrible going up and down to the Suite and regular room to sleep. They also offered us a discount on a future cruise, BUT if you know about the problem then why not let people know up front.

Identity Crisis by pamelap0420
We had cabin 2150 which was a suite in the top aft deck 12 area. Roominess was awesome and the butler was even better. The bathroom was great and the real tub and shower was very refreshing after long days in port. Room service was timely and tasty. The slippers and robes were comfortable. The deck was great for sight seeing and eating a quiet breakfast.  Read entire member review.
Good as ever by 4eric

Our Aqua Class cabin 2150 was very roomy, with an extra large balcony facing the rear of the ship and was clean and very well appointed with ONE GLARING deficiency. It was directly UNDER the outdoor eating area of the buffet and tables and chairs could be heard scraping across the wooden deck above early in the morning and most of the day. Fortunately, it ended at bedtime but be forewarned.

A very comfortable stateroom though the soundproofing was at times inadequate, noticeable when our neighbours were of the very early rising variety.

I found my standard outside midship cabin (3141) to be spacious, quiet, well-arranged, and with plenty of storage space. Good comfy bed and nice sheets. I'd prefer the usual movable hand-held showerhead to the fixed one provided, though.

Our cabin was clean, flat screen TV, not enough closet and drawer space for clothes. Our cabin 6111- shook and had bad equipment noise when pulling into ports. Wakening us up- about 4-5am all port days. We also had noise from above from the Theater. I would not book this section of ship again.  Read entire member review.

The cabin itself was roomy enough for two, with all of the amenities we expected and then some. The steward (Paul) kept it clean and comfortable for us. The veranda was wonderful. Having said that, I would not book this cabin again, because it is SO far forward. Getting anywhere entailed a LONG walk (which we probably needed because we were eating so much!)

Alaska the Best Way by North/South

Cabin was very nice. It's great to have a balcony on this trip as so much happens outside. It's nice to be able to go out and see it. In port it was warm enough but underway it was often too chilly to sit there. Only complaint was closet. Plenty of hangers but configuation of doors to closet made it tight to get into the closet. Bathroom had a wonderful shower and water pressure was good. Bed was fine as were the pillows. Agus our room steward was always on top of things and we often had coffee delivered to the room in the morning to sit and watch the scenery pass by before breakfast.

Cruising with Cousins by Louisiana Belle
Balcony was smaller than on Princess. Only two chairs that did not recline. Bed was wonderful and huge. Bathroom was biggest we have ever had. The shower was a nice size with a glass door. Lots of storage in the bathroom. Not as much storage in the cabin as Princess or Royal Caribbean. The large suitcase had to be stored in the room by the balcony. Princess has a nice closet with shelves. There were no electrical plugs near the bed. I have a CPAP machine and I had to get an extension cord and have it cross the entire room to plug in. One in our party tripped on the cord in his room and had a black eye and busted nose and had to be treated each day for bandages.  Read entire member review.
We were in cabin 6183. It is a balcony with an obstructed view. You cannot see down but you can see out to the sea. We got a good price for this cabin so the inconvenience was worth it. Be careful of the balcony door handle. It does not stay in lock down position to open. It springs back up and my husband's index finger was caught between the handle and the center door post, cutting it and requiring several stitches. The arrangement of the cabin is good and the bath is large and the shower enclosure is so much nicer than a curtain.  Read entire member review.

no real obstruction of view, life boat below the balcony, no ship noise except if neighbors make noise, thin walls, midships no rocking problems, creaking noises at faster speed

Cruise cabins are going to be small, but we comfortably fit four people in ours. Two slept in Queen size bed, one in sofa bed, which was light mattress over sofa, and one in a Pullman bed that came down from ceiling. The room steward was very dependable and came in every early evening to lower the Pullman for the night. Much more storage in main room and in bathroom than expected. Bathroom a nice size. The balcony was incredible and large. Room located in mid ship near elevators but quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to have same type of room for another trip.

Room (C Class Room #6293)
The room was a very pleasant surprise. I expected it to be much smaller than what it was. I’ve stayed in hotels, where the rooms seemed more cramped. For 1 person, I had more than enough space. The bathroom was spacious as well. In fact, the bathroom in my room is bigger than my apt bathroom J I wasn’t in my room for more than 5 minutes, before my steward showed up and showed me how to use everything. My room had a note of “obstructed views”, but my view wasn’t obstructed at all. I just couldn’t look down to well, but I could see out with no issues what-so-ever. In fact, I saw a whale swimming right underneath my balcony one morning. My parents, where in room #6289 and their view was more obstructed. They had the crane thing that moves the life boats in front of their balcony, but they didn’t have any complaints. The only odd thing is; they had the hair dryer in the vanity, by the veranda and not in the bathroom. I don’t blow dry my hair, so I’m not sure why this is, but I had to help my mom locate hers.

A Lovely Cruise by j.a.m.

The Sunset Veranda on deck 6 faces the wake of the ship. The view is magnificent, but please note that on deck 6, there is a small landing just beyond the balcony. We could not see straight down. It didn't really matter. There was no noise, nor was there any soot. We have now been spoiled by this type of stateroom and will try to get this location on future cruises, though we will try for a higher deck.

This cabin was in a great location near the forward elevators which were not as crowded as midship. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had plenty of storage for a 7 night cruise. Suitcases fit comfortably under the bed. Bathroom was clean and bright with clear shower doors. The swivel wall mounted TV made it easy to enjoy a late night movie from the free in demand menu. We watched a few recent Oscar nominated films that we missed in the theater. Our verandah was a good size with two chairs and a small table. Couch was large and comfortable. Bed was by sliding verandah doors.

Great cabin, location was good 1/2 between two sets of elevators. Room larger than most and bathroom was also larger. Great design to cabin, plenty of storage space. Balcony was comfortable with small table & 2 chairs-good to sit at to eat. One side of closet was difficult to get to because sofa was wedged up close to closet door, but I would still give this cabin a great review  Read entire member review.

The stateroom we had was very nice and well cared for (as were we) by our room steward team. Everyday the room was cleaned and at night the turndown service was good. We only got chocolates on the first night, that was random, I expected them every night. Our room had a balcony and that was kept clean as well. (Planning note: our room was located where the "X" logo intersects the side of the ship. The mirror film made our glass deck railing cloudy so we had to stand to see the view.)

Cabin 8277 Location was fantastic, very close to elevators. There is very limited drawer space and the closet is situated so it was difficult to get to part of it because the couch location limits you. There is about an 18 inch space you have to stand in between the couch and the closet. There is a nice balcony but the room and size is pretty standard to what I see on other ships. Be was very comfortable. Not a very big bedside table, no drawers in the bedside table.  Read entire member review.

Room: (Balcony on the 8th floor)
The balcony room we stayed in was laid out very well and very spacious. There was a large king size bed with a large couch, nice size flat screen tv, hanging locker / closet, and desk / dresser area. The bathroom was also nice size (again for a boat). The room was very clean, and since we booked one of the rooms that is right at the midship where the balcony rooms start to get larger, we had an "extra large" balcony compared to most balcony rooms. You can do this without any type of up charge also. The other great thing about the balcony's was that they are very comfortable, very little to no wind / and temperate.

First Cruise for us.... by coasterschick
Great balcony; could hear your neighbors at night if you were soundly asleep without tv on; exterior door would not secure shut.  A few times, we woke up to having our door slightly ajar when we swore our door was shut at night!  Wish we had more hangers for our closet as we had 4 people in our room to hang our formal and dining attire in.  Not a lot of room for shoes either.....TV with in room movies was great for an early night in room.  I liked seeing the interactive shop for our cruise photos.  Made the last night at sea easier to pick photos from the cruise to buy.  Read entire member review.
Nice balcony, plenty of storage, quiet, mid-ship so easy to get fore or aft, depending on which way you're going. Just down the hall from the Card Room which we used as our landmark all week. If we could find the Card Room, we knew we were almost home!  Read entire member review.

A nice room with plenty of storage for bags, clothes, etc. The bed was really comfortable and the sheets nice to sleep in. The balcony was of a good size and the furniture comfortable, too.
The shower was lovely and the sliding doors make a good seal, preventing any water from splashing on to the floor.
The tap would have been better if it was able to pivot, which would have allowed you to get closer to the basin & cut down on splashing on the floor while washing your face, shaving, etc.

Good but not great by Groovybusybee

This cabin was in a great midship location. It felt like it was close to everything. Taking the steps up to deck 14 for breakfast or lunch was easy and quick. When music was playing in the center lobby, we could hear it in the cabin, but it was not bothersome. The balcony was extra big and that was a really great feature. We had 2 adults and 2 teens in this cabin and while space was tight, we made it work. Storage was adequate. We removed the life jackets from the underbed bins and used those for laundry and for our warmer layers. Our empty luggage also fit under the bed. Would absolutely stay in this cabin again.

This was a concierge class. Not worth any extra expense for the amenities. The room location was directly across from the stewards access door. Constant door slamming and banging starting at 7 am.

We had sailed on the Eclipse two years ago, so the veranda cabin was familiar to us. Never felt small over the 8 nights we were there. The ship was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. Our cabin was quiet, clean and met our needs just fine.

GOOD VALUE by Anaxagoras408

A little on the crampted side but manageable. One of the larger shipboard baths I've seen.

The room was nice, but the Celebrity website shows this room to have a larger angled balcony. This is wrong and misleading. The room with the larger angled balcony is room 9370.

forward cabins on the open sea-pacific-on any stormy night to be avoided on the Solstace. Can be Very noisy.

As others have commented, the shower door in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise, made it feel so much roomier while taking a shower. So many cubby holes we didn't use them all. Another pleasant surprise was the dim light in the bathroom that stays on all the time, when we got up in the middle of the night we could make our way without breaking our neck (we left the door open). We placed the table that sits in the middle of the room under the desk so we had more room to move around. The balcony does make the cabin seem larger.  Read entire member review.
I have a bad memory.... but it was a handicapped balcony. It didn't have enough storage space. I had to use part of the sofa to store some of my folded clothes.  Read entire member review.

Taste of Turkey by thesiriusvisitor
Our balcony cabin had a bed we wanted to take home and the Egyptian sheets were so cozy.  It was so much better than I ever expected and the bathrooms were larger than I'd ever seen on a ship.  It was truly amazing.  There was a hanging closet underbed and overhead storage along with the dressers.  The flatscreen TV was great when we had time to watch it there was so much to do.  They keep the rooms spotless.  We're so spoiled now.  Read entire member review.

Solstice Alaska Cruise by Spike153624

Room was clean and slightly larger than a jail cell. Bathroom was tiny. Thermostat had two settings, too cold and too hot. It was quiet and we slept well.

Great roomy cabin. Wonderful shower with loads of room to move around. Excellent facilites, free bathrobes. We had an indoor cabin on deck 3 - close to public areas. This was cheap but great - only a short walk to most facilities - and no noise in spite of closeness to centre  Read entire member review.
Beautiful Solstice by gourmetlover

Beautiful, quiet and never felt any ship movement. Did hear music from theatre for practice, but noa problem. We loved walking our calories off to the stairs!

Wouldn't do it again by allisontucciarone

The room was very nice. It was well maintained, always clean and very generous in size. We had a seperate room for our kids as we didn;t want to be crunched but several nights they slept in with us and there was plenty of room for all of us.

Our veranda cabin was fine and the obstructed view not really an issue. It was too hot and humid most days to use the veranda so we could have used an oceanview on this trip.

Room 1082 was magnificent. A wonderful balcony. Of course it is on the fulcrum so any rough waters are minimized. It is far enough a way from elevators as to not have crowds mulling about. The bathroom was lovely, beds VERY comfy, as were the pillows.  Read entire member review.
