Balcony room on 8th floor. Room, balcony and bathroom nice size. Very quiet and balcony very private. Great view from balcony, nothing obstructing view. Very nice overall.  Read entire member review.

Great storage space, toilet has its own compartment separate from the sink, small balcony, very comfy bed. Cabin 9066 is very well located on the ship and is quiet. If you can afford the Villa's, those suites look amazing.  Read entire member review.

9066 was a balcony, balcony was quite small, bathroom was larger than princess, the cabin was a bit cramped.  Read entire member review.

Small, but cozy cabin in a wonderful location. Very quiet and away from public rooms and elevators!  Read entire member review.

9080 was in a perfect position. Close to the stairs/elevators. Quiet location with minimal movement. Lots of storage. The bed was very comfortable and when we checked it had at least 3 foam overlays on the mattress. Furnishings were bright, modern and clean. The room had a coffee maker, flat screen TV, fridge and safe. The bathroom was divided into 3 sections by screens. The choice of a shower screen instead of a shower curtain shows that NCL listen to their passengers. All in all a great cabin.  Read entire member review.

Convenient mid-ship location, but noisy being only one deck above the Crystal Atrium.

The room was functional but quite small. Loved the shower door but not the tiny area by the toilet. If I were a few pounds heavier there would be no room to sit down!  Read entire member review.

Best bathroom of any ship we've ever been on. Great space for clothes, too. Nice area by the balcony door for makeup and hair dryer. Balcony not tiny, but not big either. Sadly, rust on the balcony and damage and missing varnish on the wood railing.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 9562. Great balcony. Very quiet location for the seven days. Convenient location mid ship and a little more stable when the ship is rolling. A tremendous amount of storage. Bathroom was great and surprisingly roomy. the robes are a nice touch although they took them our last night on board. Must have thought we really liked them.  Read entire member review.

Our Cabin was amidships stateroom 9588 Port side slightly Aft on the deck 9 it was 20ft away from the lifts. It was very quiet every night. We enjoyed great views from our balcony. The bathroom was small but very well designed, no problem.  Read entire member review.

Great location towards aft of ship. Very quiet. Directly above the Blue Lagoon restaurant, but no noise ever heard. Easy access to buffet, but long walk to the front area of the ship (person with mobility problems could have a problem). Beds were comfy, room was clean and in good condition.  Read entire member review.

BA room 9620 Smaller space than other ships we have been on There was adequate storage space The bathroom was larger than others and the separate toilet with a door is a nice touch as is the coffee maker in the rooms The balcony was average size for a couple of chairs and a small table The color scheme of the rooms is very colorful with lots of pastels The beds were pushed together as requested but the since the room is rather small they were pushed up against on wall which made it intersting getting in and out of bed on that side  Read entire member review.

Love Alaska by Lessa11
Very glad I picked a room mid ship. It had less rocking than when we were in public areas that were either far forward or aft. It was a standard balcony room. Very small, but pretty. Loved having a balcony.  Read entire member review.

Pearl to Alaska Aug-2 by Whenisdinner

Cabin 9626 is a nicely appointed cabin on the port side, good for a family of 4. Fit and finish was excellent. Everything worked well. No rattles or squeaks. Sliding glass door to the balcony was heavy, but solid and locked well and tight, completely shutting out the outside world. This cabin is located officially aft but very close to mid ship, and is surrounded on all sides by other cabins, so it's quiet. Deck 9's hallways run bow to stern so it's easy to get to everywhere on the boat without going outside when it's cold/rainy.

I was pleasantly surprised that the room has THREE available 120VAC plugs (in addition to TV and hairdryer!), so I didn't need a power strip, although I used an extension cord so all the cellphones could be recharged on the top shelf above the TV away from the sticky fingers of younger family members. They confiscated my festive LED x-mas lights on the first day and left a letter citing fire hazard (LEDs a fire hazard? really!?) but we got them back on the last day. Fridge is reasonably sized but thermo-electric so takes about 24 hours to cool down anything not already cold. Good storage in the cabin, so we could stow everything for the entire family under the queen bed or in the drawers/closet/shelves. The cabin comes with the standard hotel-issue small coffee maker, which was nice to be able to make coffee/tea/hot-chocolate after hours when the buffets are closed -- which surprised us. Unlike Carnival which has juice/coffee/cocoa availalbe 24hrs, NCL shuts down over night!

Heat/AC in the room functioned well, and highest and lowest settings were able to make the room too-hot or too-cold and we kept it within one or two clicks of middle most of the time. It has a timed "quick cool" setting which I'm sure is quite useful when the boat winters in Miami.

The cabin has a pull out 3rd "twin" and a drop down 4th sub-twin-sized upper bunk. Both are perfect for children, but would be small/uncomfortable for large adults. A little challenging to get to the balcony when the top bunk is down as the upper and lower bunks overlap the "desk" which makes for a bit of gymnastics, but that's the price you pay for 4 peas in a pod.

The bathroom was well designed with solid frosted glass doors for both the head and shower which allowed up to 3 people to be in the bathroom at the same time (shower, sink, head) with moderate family-privacy. There was excellent ventilation in both the shower and head stalls. No odors at all and even after four showers in a row it dried out completely within an hour. Even towels hung up on the clothesline inside the shower stall would dry out in a 1/2 day. Like with the rest of the room, everything was well designed, well built, and fit and finish were excellent with no rattles or squeaks.

It seems that nearly everything was designed for quietness. With the door closed to the bathroom the normally volcanic blast of the uber-toilet would not wake fellow cabin-mates. We didn't even know the adjacent rooms were occupied until we saw them in the hallway!

The balcony had two standard chairs and a small table, with floor-to ceiling sliding glass door to the cabin that opened 4' wide. The balcony had a glass front which the cabin steward cleaned daily. However the height of the teak railing was such that it perfectly obstructed my sight line to the horizon when sitting in a chair, so I had to either sit up with perfect posture or slouch uncomfortably to have a good view while sitting. This was the only design issue about the cabin that fell short of perfection.

All in all a great cabin for location, features, and comfort! If we were going to do this again, we would probably pick a deck 9 cabin in the same spot but on the starboard side for the northbound coastline and southbound sunset views. Port side still had island views up the inside passage and west bound sunset views on departure day, so it's not really that much of a difference.

Cabin #10052 - Great location mid-ship. Very quiet, did not feel the ship's movement too much. Plenty of storage in closet and drawers. Under-the-bed storage is a plus too.

We picked our cabin well,Cabin 10054 Forward starboard.Easy to get to from any where. Enough room for what we needed. We wish the bed would have been a double not two singles pushed together. Made a ridge in the middle. Closet space was fine, bathroom (shower only) was ok toilet space could have been a little better. View was fine, ruff seas did not seam to bother us.We were not there to stay in the room.  Read entire member review.

Great room! Well organized storage space. Small room but designed well and felt more spacious than it was. The bathroom was separated into three small areas and was less cramped than our previous cruise. The room was situated in a great place - not too close to the elevators/crew areas. Warning: Walls are thin!  Read entire member review.

My wife and I had a BA (Cabin with balcony) and loved it. Plenty of room to hang your clothes and great and comfy bed. Bathroom certainly big enough for one at the time.
The Cabin Crew (male) was absolutely fantastic, helpful, cheerful and very good with towel animals every morning!

Our cabin was a mini-suite right off the mid ship elevators. Very convenient location. Plenty of room for three adults. The bathroom is the largest I've seen on a cruise ship. The pull out couch makes into a bed, but it is very hard. Would sleep 2 kids, but close quarters for 2 adults.  Read entire member review.

Quiet cabin. Great starboard balcony view. Ample balcony with 2 chairs and small table. Small sofa/table and an additional side chair. Desk/vanity with mirror and hairdryer. Ample shower with sliding glass door and separate area for commode. Ample closet and drawer space. Our suitcases stowed easily under the bed.  Read entire member review.

We had a 10th deck balcony cabin (first time for a balcony for us). The cabin was adequate in size but had lots of nooks and cubby holes for our things, so it made the cabin seem larger during our trip, since luggage, clothes and souvenirs were never in the way.  Read entire member review.

We upgraded to a balcony and we were glad we did. The balcony was wonderful and the room was bigger than the inside cabin we originally had. We had three in our cabin. It was just fine with three for the 1-night cruise. I would not even mine having three in a cabin for a little longer cruise. The third bed was in the sofa. We also had a fourth bed in our room,I believe which we did not use. It was in the ceiling it looked like. I also loved the shower. It was the biggest shower I have had on a cruise. The toilet was a little cramped though. the room did not have as much storage as I would have liked. It had a medium sized closet. There was four shelves and three drawers. No drawers were in the bedside tables. The safe was the biggest I have ever had on a cruise. The TV was not very big.  Read entire member review.

Alaska with our teens by Goingplaces2011
Cabins 10108 and 10110 were very clean. This room was a connecting room with our teens since we prefer to travel using two bathrooms to get ready. Awesome views. Comfortable chairs. Quiet rooms. Temperature control perfect. As usual cabins are small. Drawers and shelves and closet available. Liked the shower had a sliding door instead of curtain. Shower had unscented low suds shampoo and body soap. Toilet had sliding door but it was very very tight even for us "normal weight watchers type." Chair rail always in view if sitting down. TV programming was very limited and basically useless as a form of entertainment. Coffee maker and hair dryer provided. The bottle of water was $6 plus gratuity. Two or more pillows available. Black out curtains on windows. Don't expect chocolates at night on your bed next to the towel animal. Remember to change the sign on the door to make up room when you leave. Great access to elevators and food. BEST ADVICE: Lift bed to slide luggage underneath and out of the way.  Read entire member review.

The balcony stateroom was adequate for two people. The bathroom was bit small but adequate. The balcony has two chairs and a small table. Tiny room, decent size balcony.  Almost too small for two people.  Plenty of storage in the closet, under beds, shelves next to closet, under the sink.
Small bathroom as expected.  Great shower.
Quiet area.  Cabins above and below.
Close to fitness center one deck up.  Far from all dining.

Cabin 10560 mid ship balcony. Plenty of closet space, hangars, drawers and shelving. Very quiet and fairly private balcony. Sofa lacked cushioning and don't believe for a moment that it sleeps 2 adults. Toilet and shower area very small for larger size passengers. Room well sound proofed.  Read entire member review.

Beautiful Ship, Subpar Service!! by mikec609@yahoo.com
We booked the highest level balcony cabin (10th deck, midship). However, the cabin was noticeably smaller and had much less storage area than any other cruise ship we've been on (10th cruise). This was due to a nice size shower and mini-fridge. When the bunk bed was pulled down in the evening, it was very difficult to access the balcony (bunk bed was laid out across the width of the sliding glass doors and covered the top half of the balcony doors). The bathroom was very nice, but I would have preferred a larger cabin than a larger bathroom. We did not utilize the mini-fridge, and it took up too much space that could of have otherwise been used for storage. Nice overall decor. Small flat panel TV. Would have thought there would have been a larger TV in a balcony room.  Read entire member review.

Great room, midship near the elevators. Very quite. Nice balcony. Plenty of storage. Bathtub was too deep. Hard to climb in and out. Didnt use it anyway. Would have preferred a walk in shower.  Read entire member review.

1st time cruiser-NCL Pearl by 1stsocalcruiser
We stayed in a BA room. # 10574. It had a balcony and i would say that was the best part of that room. I thought for the money that room was kinda of small. I am 6'5 230 lbs and my feet hung over the bed. Trying to sit down and use the toilet was a joke!!! Go to one of the public restrooms, much more room to do your business. The shower had plenty of room for me and the sink area was ok. Was kinda hard for two of us to get ready at the same time. I would say it had plenty of room for your clothes to be put in drawers or the closet. If you want to get 3 in that room good luck!  Read entire member review.

I covered the cabins in my main entry, but cabins 10613 and 10614 were excellent to us. We had no complaints and were very pleased by them as we were expecting cracker boxes based on other reviews. They are not super large, yet they were good-sizes and we spent our downtime in them reading, sitting around talking, watching movies, and eating room service when we chose to sleep in or stay up too late. ha ha The bathrooms were good too, especially having shower doors on the walk-in showers. There were blow-dryers in the rooms too, and built in lamps by the headboards for reading. There is plenty of storage space for suitcases under the beds, and the mattresses, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. There is a little square table in each room and you can telephone for room service or any other information you need from your cabin. You can also telephone from one room to another by simply dialing the room number. They provide automatic shower gel and shampoo in the showers and automatic soap at the sinks in each cabin bathroom. There were refrigerators in each cabin just as in higher end hotels, with items you can purchase if you like. There is also a small stool under the make-up table in each of the rooms, and a free standing chair for the little square table.  Read entire member review.

We've had balconies the last several times we've cruised including the last two cruises on the Pearl and the Jewel. Strangely enough this room seemed slightly smaller. Who knows - maybe we're getting bigger. :-) There was only a few inches between the bed and the wall (don't recall that last time). Otherwise room was fine with lots of storage space and in a good location on the ship.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was, clean, beautifully located near the forward elevators, on deck nine. Our stewards were great! The problem: We hadn't been in our cabin for more than 30 minutes when the room filled with smoke, and we couldn't find the source. Eventually, I found a vent in a shelf space in the dressing area. I had put my DH's shirts there. I quickly moved them, but if we didn't get up and out by the crack of dawn, every morning while dressing, we would suddenly be hit with the smoke smell. One morning I was in the shower with the bathroom door closed when it hit. And whenever we had something wonderful to see out on the balcony, a hand with a cigarette burning rested on the rail -- upwind of where we were standing. The cruise was great but the smoke smell after all these years of no smoking rooms in hotels was really a downer for us. The steward and the steward supervisor were very solicitous and sorry, but other than bringing us a diffuser, which helped with the stale smell, there was nothing they could do. When I reached the airport, I looked to see which cruise lines don't allow smoking in the cabins and on balconies.  Read entire member review.
