Cabins 8552 and 8554. Obstructed ocean view. 8554 is somewhat LESS obstructed than 8552. Each cabin gets abundant natural light. These cabins are a good choice for people who simply cannot get used to the darkness of an inside cabin.  Read entire member review.

Outside obstruted view, which did not bother us. Shower did not drain properly. Enough room to move around and relax. Read a lot in the bed. Check behind the doors how filthy that one spot is. See housekeeping props the door open daily and NEVER EVER vacuums or sees behind that door. Rooms tend to collect dust too in 14 days. Adequate closet space, nice little light in there. The neighbors were noisy, loud talking and slamming drawers. Coughing too.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was far from the central elevator, close to the front elevator near the theater. A bit of trekking to get to it. Fairly quiet, heard some people below, on the shuffleboard deck laughing and talking a few times but not loud enough to be a problem. It was plenty big for two people. Very well appointed considering it was only 2 grades up from the cheapest cabin on the ship. Window view was of lifeboats with a small glimpse of the ocean and horizon beyond.  Read entire member review.

Kudos to NCL! by reh250
8066 Obstructed Oceanview, room was horizontal...layout made it seem more crowded. Bathroom door when opened, obstructed the closet door and the vanity area. Would book a vertical room next time.  Read entire member review.

We selected a sidewards facing cabin, which we had chosen on other cruises, because it's in a quieter section, and feels a little roomier than the other oceanview cabins. I would select this cabin again.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin # is 8096. It is a window cabin with partially obstructed view. Because it is for handicap I think it is larger than regualr window cabin. although we don't have anyone with handicap in our party we were able to book it with the knowledge that we might be moved if there is a need for a handicap room. The view is, well, obstructed with the top of life boat but we already search online and saw what it looks like. I like the vanity table and used a lot. Lots of shelving so storage is not a problem but would be better if there were more drawers instead of all shelves. We only have 3 small draweres under the TV which was tight to store personal items for all 4 of us. We were the first cabin on AFT so we are closed to the kitchen to Blue Lagoon and the Latin restaurant but it was not noisy at all. We didn't hear the crews going in and out of the kitchen door at all.  Read entire member review.

Two very small windows, terrible bathroom design (too small)  Read entire member review.

Completely obstructed view, quiet location, not far from elevators or central atrium, clean and efficient - best room steward!  Read entire member review.

Ocean view cabin 8586 was just a little small have been used to balcony and got spoiled, but spent most time up on deck so not big deal. One thing to keep in mind is that if in a port where they tender you in the crew let the lifeboats down early so be prepared for a little noise and there is a walkway outside your window, not sure but some crew may have went by while curtains were open could be funny so be careful unless you want to put on show.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was very well-planned and had ample storage space. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the little "towel-animals" that magically appeared each evening :)  Read entire member review.

Great storage space, toilet has its own compartment separate from the sink, small balcony, very comfy bed. Cabin 9066 is very well located on the ship and is quiet. If you can afford the Villa's, those suites look amazing.  Read entire member review.

Our trip on the Pearl by BigBearMike
When we had booked the room we were deciding between a 4th floor and 8th floor outside rooms. The 4th floor rooms had port holes about 16 inches across. There was a cover you could close and latch to make it pitch black inside which would have been nice but the 8th floor had larger windows with an obstructed view. Our room had two windows about three feet tall and maybe 10 inches wide with both shades and curtains. We picked a room that was between two lifeboats which had a pretty good view actually. From my observations later, the windows behind rooms 8070 to 8084 and 8570 to 8584 were the smaller dual windows that looked into the taller lifeboats very close to them. I'd avoid those unless you have one between lifeboats. The other obstructed rooms on 8 had large rectangular windows that looked either over the top of shorter lifeboats or between them. It also turned out that we spent a lot of time on decks 6, 7 and 8 so by staying on 8 we rarely needed to use the elevator. The room was largest non-suite room I have ever had on a cruise ship. It had a small flat screen TV, a coffee maker (first time I've seen that on a cruise), a blow dryer, shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower (very convenient), 10 shelves and six drawers for storage and even a safe that was large enough for my 14' x 12' laptop. We discovered after a few days that you don't need to enter the safe code each time you want to lock it. After you set the code and open it for the first time, you can close the door and just press Lock to lock it using the same code as before. The shower was huge for a ship and the only complaint I had was that the toilet area was pretty small. There was a wheel outside the room that had an indicator for the cabin steward to make up the room, do not disturb, etc. That was cool. There was a small fridge in the room with drinks, chips, nuts, etc. that you got charged for if you used them. I was told that you could ask the room steward to empty it so you could use it for your own drinks but I didn't bother since I had my collapse-able ice chest.  Read entire member review.

I can't remember the exact cabin number. It had a little port hole. One day I'll go on one with a balcony. The room was fine, enough space to unpack. Shower was actually significantly bigger than what I remember it being on my previous Carnival cruise. We were on the same deck where you leave the boat from in ports, so that was both convenient and annoying cause everyone walks by your room.  Read entire member review.

Cabin met our expectations. We had a nice picture window. The bathroom was small but not unexpected.  Read entire member review.
