Family Balcony Cabins 22 Reviews
These staterooms are perfect if you want to bring the whole family. With room for up to four guests, there are two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and a convertible sofa sleeps two more. Also includes a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony.

Cabin 8024 The cabin itself was fine once the smoke smell was extinguished. Our cabin steward Manny was excellent and unfortunately the only stand-out crew member we encountered on the entire ship. We had a "sheltered balcony" which meant it was enclosed inside the hull of the ship and had steel around the balcony rail (see the pictures link). This proved to be a perfect set up as it did a great job of blocking the unwanted wind and cold while we were out on the balcony. It was also very private. The beds were excellent and we enjoyed many great nights sleep. The TV was super small (smaller than my computer screen) but it did the job. There was tons of storage space and at least three outlets which were great for charging PED's. The bathroom setup was one of the best with a large shower that has a door instead of a curtain, and a toilet area that also has a sliding door. Unfortunately the shower water pressure was dismal so extra long showers were in order. The cabin location was great being close to the forward stairs and only one deck above all the lounges. It was always quiet too which encouraged afternoon naps after exploring the ports of call.  Read entire member review.
8024-too far forward.  Read entire member review.
Pearl - I don't think so! by MJPTravellers
Room was laid out nicely, bathroom strange - separate toilet stall, which took away a lot of otherwise usable space. Very bad water pressure!  Read entire member review.

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was a hull balcony, which means the balcony was surrounded by a metal overhang. That wasn't my favorite thing, but we still enjoyed the view. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice having a sofa and a little extra room. It could have used a good dusting, and the carpet was worn/stained. Other than that, it was great.

We were in the Penthouse Aft Cabin - 8630 and it was wonderful - very beautiful design & extremely spacious. The list of amenities were EXTENSIVE! We will never go to a lesser category than Penthouse. The views were great and if we wanted to see the view from the ship's front in the morning, we just turned on the web cam on Channel 24. We were worried about being above the 'new' bowling alley on the Pearl... although we could sometimes hear the pins; and it might disrupt extremely light sleepers - it did not bother us at all. We did make our friends with a couple on Deck 11 who had smoker come down from the outside cafe on Deck 12 (never thought about that). However - everyone should check out the amenities which come with the Penthouse Suites!  Read entire member review.
Small room, esp when the couch bed is out and the drop down bed from the ceiling is out. Having a coffee pot was very nice for our trip to Alaska though.  Read entire member review.
Near front of ship with hallway that was twisty which made navigation to it a bit difficult. We found it easier to go to deck nine and walk to end of hallway and go down a level to navigate more easily Was very quiet and had nice hull or cove style balcony. Tended to have more wave action because of forward location on ship  Read entire member review.
9024: BED BUGS. Overall cabins of this category really too small for 4 people. Bathroom is relatively spacious.  Read entire member review.

The room was attractive. The bedding was comfortable and the bed was OK. Little less storage than we had had on other Norwegian ships but enough. Bathroom arrangement was good but seemed my husband and I were always crawling over each other with the bathroom and closet being so close together.  Read entire member review.
The cabin was ready by 2pm. We usually go cheap and get an inside room but with the 2 little ones we decided to splurge and get a balcony. So glad we did as this gave us a space to hang out while the kiddos slept or needed down-time. The cabin was nice. Small, as to be expected, but with plenty of storage for our things, including under the beds. There was no space for our stroller inside the room so we stored it on the balcony which worked out just fine. The room was very clean, but there were stains and signs of wear and tear on the carpet (which did not bother us). The room was well appointed but we had too much furniture in the room with a crib so we moved the coffee table out to the balcony (which our room steward had no issue with). The crib was a fold up pack n play so when it wasn't in use we could fold it up, which was great. With the crib in the room, the fold out couch was not an option so DS slept in the pull-down bunk bed. He had no problems with this and loved it. The rail on the bed was short but he did not have a problem staying safe. Our bed was super comfy, we love NCL bedding. The bathroom was adequate and the shower was roomy for a ship shower and we love the sliding glass door and retractable clothes line in the shower. The vanity and sink area had plenty of storage for our stuff.  Read entire member review.

It was on a smaller side as noted by other reviewers. But the balcony and bathroom were of nice size. A different layout would have been more convenient but we had no major complaints about the room or the storage space. Everything was adequate.

Comfy beds, very clean, great balcony. The TV is too small. One thing was there was nothing good on the tv. All ship stuff and news. 1 movie channel and no guide. Pearl and Ari did a great job with our cabin....Thanks guys!  Read entire member review.
