Our cabin was a mini-suite right off the mid ship elevators. Very convenient location. Plenty of room for three adults. The bathroom is the largest I've seen on a cruise ship. The pull out couch makes into a bed, but it is very hard. Would sleep 2 kids, but close quarters for 2 adults.  Read entire member review.

Great cabin, full tub, couch was a sofa bed and extremely hard to sit on....it also was broken....the ship is due for a refurbishment in June 2011  Read entire member review.

Great location, no noise, plenty of storage space, would prefer the walk-in shower over the tub  Read entire member review.

Deck 11 mid ship can be somewhat noisy due to the fact that we were under the pool deck and could often hear running and moving of deck chairs above us, especially early in the morning 11042 has a great view from the balcony, this is the best location for glacier viewing The cabin steward was very attentive and always present and pleasant  Read entire member review.

NCL First-Timer by corgimomx3
We loved the mini-suite. But our first 2 nights were under a galley. The noise was horrible all night. Fortunately they were able to re-locate us. We were given a mini-suite that was very quiet. I called NCL before I booked because I was concerned about being under deck# 12. The room was recommended by an operator who had stayed in the room, and said that there were no noise issues. NCL solved this problem for us.  Read entire member review.

Mini Suite. 11048. We didnt hear noises. The balcony was great and the extra square feet is very noticable, up from a balcony room. The bathroom had plenty of room too.  Read entire member review.

Our stateroom (a mini suite) was very nice on first impression. It was equipped with a very small flat screen TV, a pull out sofa, a queen bed, balcony with 2 chairs and a table, hair dryer, make up mirror, desk, decent amount of storage/closet space and a great bathroom (for a ship) including a separate toilet area, bath tub/shower and sink. Shortly after trying to settle in to our stateroom, we started noticing that it was less than clean. Our steward was far more than disappointing. He was extremely unaccommodating, inattentive to our needs, and there was a very bad communication problem as was the case with most of the cruise staff. He basically ignored our requests to perform he simplest of tasks, i.e., clean out the coffee pot, remove dirty cups/glasses and replace used towels, etc. Yes, we did voice our complaints, however, they appeared to fall on deaf ears!  Read entire member review.

Beautiful Pearl! by Pigmoon
Minisuite, mid-ship, great well-sized balcony, close to elevators and stairs (but not too close), directly below pool area, not noisy on Alaska trip but could be on Caribbean.  Would easily book same room again.  Read entire member review.

No more Norwegian by BobandJoanne
The cabin was clean and well appointed. The bathroom is a good size for a ship and the balcony was great; it had a larger than average overhang which was nice. Also, the noise attenuation was excellent; even though our cabin was located on Deck 11 (right below the pool area) we did not hear any noise from above.  Read entire member review.

Tiny closet...very dark, needs light. Also the closet door hits the bed when you try to open it all the way. The sliding door to the balcony could hardly be opened it was so tight. And there was not enough room between the end of the bed and the wall.  Read entire member review.

A 'pearl ' of a time! by LivingLifetotheFullest
Mini Suite 11082 - mid ship on Deck 11 - below Garden Cafe, great location and easy access to Deck 12 - buffet, pool, other common areas; ecellent service, lots of storage, love the balcony; some noise at night from cleaning staff above.  Read entire member review.

11088 was a great locationmid-to-aft, not at all noisy either from elevators or neighbors. We had an overhang (from lifeboats?) over out balcony, which was nice because it was somewhat of a rain block when we had rain in Glacier Bay. Decor was nice, and it had plenty of room in the bathroom and for storage. A short walk up one flight of stairs to the buffet, pool, and kids club.  Read entire member review.

Great mini-suite. Larger than the family suite on Disney. Nice layout, huge closet, lots of drawers. Lots of space under bed to store luggage. Bathroom was nice with actual full pressure faucets. Nice touch. It was the perfect location, between mid and aft. No excess noise.  Read entire member review.

Great choice. We had ample room for all our luggage (2 persons), lots of closet and drawer space. Lots of hangers. The bathroom was a good size and layout complete with a tub. The balcony had room for two chairs and a small table. The view was fabulous and we saw the sunrise every morning except for the last day. The only downside was that the shower gel was not the best and we were glad we had brought our own bar of soap.  Read entire member review.

Outstanding Pearl by Fisical1
Room 11154 AF mini suite: We had 3 adults and fit very comfortable. The balcony was AFT and I recommend that to all. Bathroom was very large with a tub. The view is outstanding from the back of the ship and there was virtually no noise and no foot traffic. Crew was great and always accomodated us with all our requests. We had lots of storage space and lots of hangers.  Read entire member review.

Tons of closet and storage space, great bathroom - light years better than our hotel in Miami! Balcony was wonderful. Great view. Very close to the front of the ship, which was close to the pool, and made us walk a little further to all that food - a good thing!  Read entire member review.

We had booked the mini-suite with balcony on the port side. The suite was very nice. We had ample storage space. The bathroom was a decent size too. The balcony was large with about a 4-foot high railing. I was worried about safety for my curious five year old but I thought the balcony was safe and the door to the balcony takes some effort to slide open. The suite had a queen-sized bed with a convertible sofa. There was also a curtain partition between the bed and sitting area for privacy. We had read some reviews about noise in the cabin from the deck above. We did not experience any of that. I think our suite was below one of the less trafficked areas. We met a family who was in 11572 and 11574 and they told us that they were below the kids club and they heard thumping noises all day. I think it is very important if you book on deck 11 to make sure that you are not below one of the highly trafficked areas.  Read entire member review.

We do mini-suite to get a bathtub, makes the bathroom and shower space much larger. First thing noticed is that cabins on 11 in middle of ship have very large overhang that blocks almost all sun except at early morn or late afternoon. Overhang also has vertical beam that hangs down from end of overhang. This causes any noise or conversation from adjacent balconies to echo back. We occasionally had very loud talkers on adjacent balcony. I would avoid these cabins next time. Move down to deck 10 or lower, or go aft or forward.  Read entire member review.

We chose to have a mini-suite for this cruise. It was a great choice. The size of the room, the balcony, as well as the bathroom were all pluses. Additionally, we liked the fact that it was on the port side of the ship and we were able to see land much of the trip. There were two down sides. The first is the location of the closet, which was somewhat difficult to access. The second is the fact that we were on Deck 11, which meant we got noise from Deck 12 (the pool deck) when they moved the furniture.  Read entire member review.

The location is ideal. It's central located on the ship, close, but not adjacent to elevators/stairs, only one floor away from the primary areas. No rooms across the hall. Washroom was good size. Balcony fantastic -- all four of us fit on the balcony fine.  Read entire member review.
11568
Great central location! Buffet and pool deck are just up one flight of stairs. It's below (or very close) to the kids club so I at times, I heard some stomping around from time to time. If I hadn't already unpacked, I'd have asked to be moved.  Read entire member review.

NCL Pearl by debra54
Suite 11586 has sufficient room for 2 adults along with a small child or 2, although 2 adults cannot pass each other at the foot of the bed(s). Very quiet location, close to the elevator, sufficient closet and drawer space as well as plenty of room for suitcases under the beds. Great balcony location, free of obstructions. We were very happy with our suite #11586.  Read entire member review.

Great location to the Garden Cafe and kids club (one floor up).  Did not find it noisy considering it is below the kids clubs.  Love the balcony!

Great location. Easy access to the buffet for breakfast or just a morning latte. Low traffic area since it's just beyond the aft elevator lobby. No noticable noise from the restaurant above. The Perfect Cruise! by Dilla Girl
The Mini-Suite (AF)is outstanding and worth every penny, especially for those who spend lots of time relaxing in the room. This is the most spacious, well designed ship cabin and/or hotel room we have every enjoyed! There were only two of us, but a family of four would have been more than comfortable with room to spare and privacy all around! Mom and Dad have lots of privacy in the separate bedroom and bath, and the kids have their own private bedroom and small bath. We used the extra bedroom for luggage storage and the extra bath for hanging wet swimsuits. The master bath is fantastic with a large picture window over a huge soaking-tub that is supplied with fragrant bath salts and a large shower with enough shower heads, sprayers etc. that you feel like you have enjoyed a massage when you get out! The living area is very nice, complete with an espresso machine that is supplied daily with a variety of coffees and teas, sweeteners, and cream. Fresh fruit and afternoon canapes are also supplied daily to the suites. Be sure to take advantage of the special dining in Cagney's at lunch and breakfast for suite guests! It is far better than the zoo at the buffet! Be sure to bring an alarm clock, as the clocks are not digital and consequently can't be seen in the dark. If you enter a wake-up call in the phone, be sure the ringer is turned up so that you can hear it. For those of us who are cold-natured and travel with someone who is not, it is wise to request a throw blanket for the living area, and one will be supplied. As for quiet, we have learned to always take into account what sort of space is above the cabin and avoid staying below high traffic areas like the kids club or buffet and try instead to be under the library or something like that. Even then, be aware that parents often allow children to sprint up and down the halls of any ship, and it can be disturbing and annoying to those who are trying to sleep. We were so irritated by the constant running of kids in the halls on our last trip that I threatened to put on my running shoes and sprint up and down the hall at 5A.M. on disembarkation morning just to make a point since we had to be on the road early and had to rise early anyway!  Read entire member review.

A mini suite was adequate for the three of us. I think a balcony might have been small. We had plenty of space. Storage was not a problem at all. Bathroom was large and the tub was great. Water pressure and temperature was great. Balcony was perfect for us. We had robes in our room, which my wife used a lot especially every time she visited the spa. We also had memory foams on our beds, which were comfortable as anything. We slept like babies.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was a mini-suite (AF as defined by NCL). Drawers were quite sufficient for storing our clothing, even for all 4 of us. The closet was sufficient, although the door did actually touch the side of the bed when open. The balcony was awesome, but we all did notice that the balcony railing was exactly at eye level when we sat in the deck chairs. Probably should either drop the railing (which I suspect is impossible, due to code regulations) or provide slightly taller chairs -- just enough added height to see over the railing better. Our room was very quiet.  Read entire member review.
