E701 is a GREAT cabin. It's sold and priced as "obstructed" but there is absolutely no obstruction. The beds are "on the wall" rather than "under the window" and the room seems spacious compared to the average under the window arrangement. Great cabin steward. The location is good. A few steps to the aft stairs/elevator - easy to go straight up to the Horizon Cafe on Lido or down to the Botticelli Dining room or Club Fusion. Read entire member review. |

L104 - forward above the bridge. FABULOUS views. We had more than enough space. My only issue was the temp - it got warm in our room several times. I learned later I should have said something. Oh well. It was EXTREMELY quiet there. Take a strip plug or two on any cruise - there aren't many power outlets. Two nights we had somewhat "rougher" seas than many people would like, but the motion of our bed felt like being rocked to sleep to us. We'd definitely stay in this cabin again. We unfortunately stayed in L104 (Lido Deck). This is directly below the Running machines in the Fitness Centre. This is NOT a habitable room and should NOT be sold to passengers.
The same can be said about adjacent suite L106 and Cabin L102. All occupants complained during our cruise to no avail from Princess Management.
Intolerable noise even after the Fitness centre closes and the Crew used the centre. Managemant don't care a damn, they said YOU CHOOSE THE ROOM, there are 3000 other passengers to consider.
Moved to E405 (Emerald Deck) for the second 10days. - no problem good views although classed obstructed. Read entire member review. |

Avoid this "Obstructed View Cabin" as you literally cannot see the ocean.
We would have been better off getting an inside stateroom and saved the money.
Next time I will upgrade to oceanview. Read entire member review. |

Our rooms, ocean view unobstructed, was one of the smallest we have seen but very well designed and comfortable. No couch but the excellent flat screen TV was well positioned to be seen from the bed. Plenty of storage and closet space, and a decent bathroom with shower. We like the room very much but there was one problem. Our cabin had fold down bunks over the regular bed. If the cabin is made up as a double, access along the sides of the bed is partially blocked by the bunks, making access rather difficult; I had to face and hold on to the bunk while side stepping. I guarantee you will bump your head more than once. Bad design. The solution is to have the cabin made up as twin beds with the aisle down the middle. The room then works out very well.
