The cabin is a bit dated but still nice. The shower is very small. The steward was very good and we rewarded him for his excellent service. We were in the center of the ship and the ride was exceptionally smooth.

D 227
D 227 - is a mini suite. The balcony is totally exposed -- to the elements and 1/4 of the passengers. If you like privacy this is not for you. There are two chairs with reclining backs and two regular chairs. A small table fills the balcony, which is on the small side. We wish there was some overhang. On a transatlantic cruise, our focus was on interior space -- and that required a mini-suite. There are gouges in the bathtub -- possibly compromising the ability to keep the area clean. Regardless, it looks awful. We only used it to shower. There is ample hanger space for two people. Between the shelves in one closet, a curved cabinet, our nightstands, and other shelving, all our unpacking needs were met. This room has a sofa that rides backwards. Rooms on either side face in the direction that the ship is headed. This room is situated far enough from the stairs to be relatively quiet but close enough to be convenient. It is far from the laundry room on Dolphin and we found that using the facilitie on deck 10 more convenient. It's an easy trip to any venue from mid-ship to the front. It's a hike to food.  Read entire member review.

We love princess!!!!!! by puttersriley
We were in D115 mini suite. we love the mini suites and would never go back to a regular cabin. The bathroom is so much larger and having the extra area with the couch is perfect. We love the larger balcony as well.  Read entire member review.
D202
D202 - Minisuite. Very nice. Bathroom w/full tub (we never used the tub). Bed mattress (w/egg crate) was just fine. Without a doubt the very WORST pillows I have had in any hotel/motel/ship. Two small TV's - they were ok, but one should have been a larger screen.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was on Deck Nine, close to lifts, very quiet and spacious, on the starboard side forward middle.. It was great having a balcony to take in the sights. only down side was distance from the laundramat but after all the great food we needed the exercise!  Read entire member review.
D231
D231 (Dolphin), Mini-Suite W/Balcony. All of Dolphin is mini-suites. Loved the extra space, the room layout, the tub, and balcony you get with mini-suites, but Dolphin mini-suites on Emerald are NOT covered, so this was a real problem for privacy, rain, PM sun. Also, on D231 you are under the lighted Emerald Princess sign (which illuminates your private balcony at night), and we were a little too close to the bow of the ship, just 20 ft or so up from water. That's great for watching flying fish, but a little too noisy on balcony for conversation near this point where ship breaks water. Next time, might give up mini-suite for smaller double w/covered balcony somewhat higher up/mid-ships.  Read entire member review.

Room D728 - Dolphin Deck AFT. Mini-suite. Very good size with a full bathroom. A large closet, two TV's and a large balcony with four chairs (two reclining). Passengers can request a fruit basket every day which was nice especially since my DH is diabetic and needs healthy snacks during the day. Did not notice any noise or a lot of movement from the ship. Your balcony can be viewed by two decks of balconies above you. Laundry facilities right down the hall. Buffets are six decks up so very handy.  Read entire member review.

D732 has a HUGE balcony, but balconies above you can look down at you as there is no overhang. Very quiet location, well-off the beaten path. The bathroom is super with a tub and lots of space to stash essentials.  Read entire member review.

Good size cabin, full size sofa (3 sections), 2 sections pull out to sofa bed. balcony smaller than mini suite on Sapphire. Walk was about half way to mid ship elevators and back of ship elevators. Quiet room, never heard neighbors. Wall mounted hairdryer was horrible. Shower never got hot, just warm. Sink tap got hot...  Read entire member review.

Our cabin D202 was towards the front on the Dolphin Deck and for the most part was very quiet. Our closet was very roomy and we had a larger than normal bathroom and two televisions.  Read entire member review.

The stateroom was really nice, we had a mini suite. Lots of storage space, a nice big sofa, 2 tv sets that didn't work very well, a fridge. Bathroom was adequate.  Read entire member review.
