Very clean, comfortable, quiet. No engine noise. Great views from window. Fabulously located for the theatre and pursers office. Easy access to whole ship with excellent wheelchair access for those less abled.

Very basic. Cramped shower room with hardly space to turn in. Cupboards are positioned so as to make it very difficult to access. Bathroom door fills space needed to access door to cabin and wardrobe.

Getaway Fare by Micktheman

The stateroom was larger than most as was the balcony. It had a bed/settee which we didn't use but the theatre stage is directly below the stateroom so rehearsals and both shows can clearly be heard in the stateroom

No problems. Very clean and efficient. These balconies are slightly larger than the higher decks so you can stretch out. Deck 4 is the lowest balcony deck and ours was right at the front so a bit of movement but not really a problem. The balcony is metal fronted so in chairs you can only see mountains and sky.

Cabin 4027 Extra large balcony - Front of ship a little bumpy but over all.... excellent!  Read entire member review.
Another QV cruise by Guildwin

Well placed balcony cabin with plenty of room for 3 persons.

Cabin was a good size, we selected a non balconey cabin given the time of year (December)and destinations (North sea ports). The cabin was on deck 4 and had a restricted view, this was alright for the type and duration of the cruise. Storage facilities were excellent, shower worked well, could do with more water pressure.  Read entire member review.
Fantastic! by Borisnbridget

The obstructed view was the bottom half of the window. But could see clearly over the top.
Lots of room for 2 suitcases and contents in the wardrobes. Huge king size bed.

Good cabin close to laundry.

Sunbathing is not an option as there is a balcony above, so you don't get enough sun to sunbathe. You do get a super view and we sometimes sat inside with the curtains open to look out when it was cool. It is worth going for a balcony, we wouldn't want to have missed all the arrival and departure views, and the chance to nip out quickly to see passing dolphins.
The one little fault we could find was that our metal table had paint flaking off, which spoiled the luxury feel of the cabin, otherwise apart from not being able to turn off the air-conditioning (no one can) we couldn't fault it. Chairs outside were very comfortable.
I had read complaints about the showers, if you are over 6'2" you will find them too low, if you are on the large side you may find them small, we are as padded as your average 50 somethings and had no problems.
Beds very comfortable, fridge roomy enough.
Hair drier a bit weak, so if you like a gutsy one bring your own, it didn't bother me, but one of our friends went and bought another in Spain.
There were enough coat hangers, but you can ask for more if you need them.

High luxury cabin, minibar, fresh fruit, two televisions, small balcony, well equipped bathroom, huge fluffy pillows which I should have got changed.

The shower is fixed, you can't detach it to wash all over, it is also pretty cramped. The two TV screens give a poor quality image, and we found it hard to find anything interesting.

I am a wheelchair user and the cabin we were allocated was 5110 (amidships) and was very spacious with a large balcony. There was plenty of room for me to manoeuvre and the bathroom excellently laid out with a good number of handrails and easy managed shower. It was also situated quite near to the lifts which was useful as the passageways to the cabins are quite narrow. There is room to accommodate a wheelchair but that pretty much fills the aisle. We were amidships which is the most stable part of the ship in case of turbulence but most times you could not tell you were on board a ship.  Read entire member review.
Good size, lots of clostet space, nice view.  Read entire member review.

As an accessible room, it is very spacious and easy to navigate in a wheel chair. The balcony is fully accessible with an automatic ramp for wheel chairs to get out.

The only downside is that the ramp takes most of the balcony which means that you have to sit on a slope which is not a major issue but noticeable. It is a shame that they could not take a little bit of the space from the front of the ship to enlarge the balcony as this was not allocated to any rooms and would allow a small seating area that was flat.

The bathroom was very good with a walk in shower which had a fitted bench that could be folded flat against the wall.

We received a bottle on sparkling wine which was on ice when we arrived and fresh ice was supplied twice a day which was welcomed.

The room attendant was very good and attentive but not intrusive and the room was made up and turned down quickly while we were away.

Luggage was brought into your room and not left outside which was nice. Overall the room is very good but is positioned at the front of the boat which means walking down a long corridor.

MY main complaint on all boats is that a manual wheelchair does not fit in the gap between the wall and the cleaning trollies that always seem to be in the corridor. I know that they have to clean but it does make life difficult.

Cunard discovery by Arrowsmith
On deck 6, mid-ships our cabin was what we expected. It had loads of wardrobe space and quality hangers as well as boxes under the bed (and still room for cases). The cabin was comfortable and fairly spacious with a small sofa and a chair beside the usual expected furniture. The balcony was OK - reclining chairs would have been an added luxury instead of ordinary ones. The cabin was well furnished and very clean at all times and the bed linen quality and the colours co-ordinated and pleasant. Bathroom was compact but adequate and scrupulously clean and the toiletries always kept topped up. We had a safe and a refrigerator, as expected, and a small bottle of "champagne" awaiting us.  Read entire member review.

This stateroom was very satisfied although some may find the complete darkness disconcerting. It was a quiet location with no disturbances at any time. The shower although small had excellent water pressure and was simple to operate. The laundry room (which was free and provided free detergent) was about 3 doors away so convenient but not too close. The TV worked well and the bedding was luxurious. There was a small refrigerator. For two people the closet space wasn't ample for a 14 day cruise but we made it work.

We had a balcony cabin on deck 8 midship and I did find the cabin very basic and not the kind of standard that we have been used to. Firstly, there was no kettle in the cabin, which struck me as odd! There was only one British plug socket, which caused us a few difficulties. The TV was terrible, the picture was distorted and it took ages to respond. The bathroom had no cabinet to store toiletries and the shower, although adequate, was not as good as other ships that we have travelled on. All in all, the accommodation was a bit over-rated and over-priced compared to other cruise lines.

There were unusual noise issues with category BA balcony cabin 8113. This is located midship just under the Lido buffet but there were no noise issues with the buffet seating area above us. Upon embarkation, we asked our stateroom attendant why there was a unique tapping and clicking noise which we later found out was a problem with the dishwasher plumbing in the Lido, so we were told. As experienced cruisers, we know to expect engine humming and vibration noises, especially depending on where the stateroom is located; however, this noise was very unique and became very annoying during the night. The noise was analogous to someone coming to your room every 15 minutes, then knocking on your door for 5 minutes, with this cycle repeated throughout the day and night. Very annoying and prevented us from getting any decent sleep. After a few nights, we met our neighbours in stateroom 8111 who had reported the same issue, as the problem seemed to affect only these two rooms. Although the technical department tried different remedies, after we spent four nights in this room and two nights in a “sleeping room” (used for short term stays by entertainers and passengers who have major stateroom problems such as broken toilet or plumbing), we reluctantly agreed to move to an inside room as the ship was sailing 99% full and there was nothing else available. At the last minute, an oceanview stateroom became available for some reason and we spent the remaining eight nights in 1066. We received a refund of the difference in price of the balcony and inside room, and as additional compensation, we also received a future cruise credit which we thought should have been higher, but accepted anyway and then tried to make the most out of the remaining time on board. The balcony furniture is made of very cheap looking plastic and steel, very Walmart, more at home on Carnival than Cunard.

Disappointing trip by wanderbabe

The position was very good, amid ships.

We had an obstruction ocean view, don't upgrade to this cabin, you will be entirely disappointed. You can see nothing out the window except for a life boat!  Read entire member review.
Room fine but bathroom tiny for a new ship.  Read entire member review.
