The cabin was decent in size and our steward was very attentive.

Cabin 6331. The standard balcony room but the location is great and convenient to elevators and stairs and near the sections of the other decks we frequented the most.  Read entire member review.

Room and service: We had a category 8C room 7334. I found it very conveniently located, it was by the elevator but we never heard any noise. We did not use the balcony as often as we used to due to the coolness of the weather. However, it was nice to have the extra space. We had plenty of storage for all our stuff. We had run out of hangers but our room steward gladly gave us additional ones. If I would leave a request on a post-if then it was completed. However, there were three days that are room was not made up in the day. Now prior to the cruise, my DBF worked a lot of OT and slept until 9:30 so I am not sure if after a certain time, they don't make up the rooms. However, it is the first cruise that I was on that the room was not made up. Normally, it seems that they had radar and knew when we left the room and when we returned from breakfast it was made up.  This was also the first time that we did not receive a comment card the last day. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

7339 Mid ship - Starboard Large stateroom, ample storage, fridge doesn't get cold enough, bed quasi comfortable. Don't like the "advertising" amenities Carnival puts in your cabin. No hair conditioner. Not enough outlets.  Read entire member review.

Average cabin, great location mid ship, mid height, quiet side of ship, near elevators & stairwells

Lots of closet space, good bathroom & shower size, good balcony (2 chairs, 1 table), quiet mid-ship location. Needed a foam mattress topper, which steward added as soon as we requested it. Bathroom plug only works if the bathroom light is turned on (ie don't plan to plug a nightlight in there).  Read entire member review.

great balcony, just don't be loud b/c the people next to you can hear everything! lots of clothes space, if you like to hang you stuff, bring your own hangers they only gave us 15. across from my room was the steward stock room i never heard a peep. and i would rather be in that room then across from a nosie inside room. when i booked this room i thougt it was too close to the elevator but it wasn't i never heard the elevator nosie or people from there ever!  Read entire member review.

Room was nice and quiet, good location and balcony. Laid out very well for two people. No complaints. Location, location, location, always check your location. Chose portside for this cruise. Wife likes sunsets at sea.  Read entire member review.

Mostly a good time by raggedyann6
Cabin 7344 was a good location mid ship with cabins above and below. Across the hall there was a service area for phone cables not a cabin. There was plenty of shelves and closet space for 3 of us. The 2 beds and sofa/daybed were very comfortable. There is a hairdryer in a drawer on the vanity that had its own plug, there was only one electrical outlet for the whole cabin. The robes were nice and they provide beach towels. In the shower they have shampoo and shower gel. The was a basket on the bathroom counter that had a razor, toothpaste samples, 3 oz hand creme, and a sample breathing strip. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a close line in the shower.  Read entire member review.

Review of Stateroom 7538 Carnival Splendor (Category 8C) This was an absolutely wonderful room. My father and son had the mirror image room in 7344 and everyone preferred our room (it could be because we kept it very near and rarely used the all-lights feature). The balcony is a very comfortable size. There are two deck chairs and a small metal table. If you have traveling companions in rooms directly adjacent to you (we didn't have that option available by the time we booked), they can open the divider between the rooms, creating an even larger deck. Stateroom 7358 can accommodate three guests, and if there are only two of you, the third bed serves as a very nice leather couch. There is a reading lamp at each bedside. Also at bedside are cute little nightstands that have a small door and is great for storage (I kept my cel phone, laptop, iPad and purse in it). There are three closet doors right at the entrance to the room, opposite the bathroom door. Two of the closets are for hanging clothes and are very roomy. We asked for extra hangers, which weren't available immediately, and were a hodgepodge of "leftover" "regular" (i.e. non-wood like ones that are standard in each close); they were totally fine and we were able to keep all our clothes hung. There is a shelf at the bottom of each of the "hanging closets," designed, I believe, for shoes. If you only bring a couple pair, it would be fine, but to more pairs than that, you'd have to get on your knees (and it's a fairly dark). I used it to store folded dresses I'd already worn. The third closet, closest to the desk/credenza is shelved. We used it for folded clothes. I stacked my small cross body purses and shoes here -- I brought (too many) pairs of shoes I wanted to be able to see and access easily. There are four stacked drawers to left (right next to the shelved closet). The top drawer is designed for the hairdryer (they provide one, but since it is connected to the drawer, it can only be used in that area), and is split in two, the second open area is a tray -- you could put change and keep your key cards there so you always know where they are; we used it to keep our Singles-to-Go Snapple Tea packets. There are two very large mirrors framed with two long lights and one modern glass wall lamp attached directly to the mirror. There is a single drawer center, which is great for makeup, or for what we used it for, various and sundry items. The next cabinet is the mini-bar. They cannot take the items in the mini-bar away, but if you want to use it, you can ask the steward to open the mini-bar, remove the items (which they'll put on the open shelf to the credenza far right) and use it for your own drinks. There is also a small, upholstered stool under that single drawer and a stainless steel trashcan under that. There is also a small safe in the next, double-door storage area -- you won't be able to put your laptop in there. I have an 11" Macbook Air and it wouldn't fit, but my iPad mini did. We just used it to store credit cards, cash and our passports. The bathroom is very serviceable. There are three glass shelves of varying sizes on either side of the mirror. There is also a faux shell porcelain corner dish that they put toothpaste and Garnier sample shampoo in -- I removed those and used it for my makeup and it was perfect. I was able to use it in the bathroom and carry it to the mirrored credenza area, too. The TV is a 19" and we had it on mute almost the entire time, with the ship's information (meaning the map to show where we were) on. They show one free movie daily, I believe, and have other channels (on our sail it was a Florida feed), but I didn't really watch any television. There is also a small, easily moved oval coffee table, which is generally kept next to the couch. Three very helpful suggestions I found on this site that were terrific -- bring a clock (or use your tablet) and a power cord. There is only one outlet in the entire room. bring a bungee cord to hold the balcony door open.  Read entire member review.

CABIN 7359 LOCATED ON THE EMPRESS DECK MID SHIP STARBOARD SIDE. GREAT CABIN IN BETWEEN TWO PASSENGER FLOORS AND WAS TWO DECKS ABOVE THE MAIN AREA OF SHIP, SHOPS, PHOTO, ENTERTAINMENT AND DINNING ROOM AND TWO DECKS BELOW THE LIDO DECK AND OUTSIDE DECKS.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 7360 Great location in the middle of the ship. on the 7th deck so pretty quiet. bathroom small and balcony small. Lots of closet space. Only one outlet in room so bring a power strip.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was a balcony cabin - midship on 7. We love that location. Convenient to go up or down (we take stairs) and we heard very little outside noise. We've been on 8 below the Lido deck a few times and there we hear the deck chairs being put out in the morning, etc. The biggest negative was that there was only one american and one european electrical outlet and we brought two computers and two cell phones that need electric/charging.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 7363 was fantastic. Perfect location on the ship...in the middle. The balcony was a little small, but since we were in a group, we had all the balconies opened up with one another, when the wind was strong the barriers would make a lot of noise since they were not secured. There was some noise in the hallway...thanks mainly to some of the people in our own group that had been out drinking a little late a couple nights...but it wasn't that bad. In the morning you do hear other doors opening and closing, or maybe room service knocking on someone's door. I was surprised how much storage there was. This cabin was plenty big enough for two people. The bathroom was also large enough, and well cleaned. The toilets are noisy in the middle of the night though. Water pressure and hot water are no problem. I would definitely take this cabin again!! The room steward, William, was great.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was great, the balcony was totally worth it and perfect for two people. I'm sure it would work for three or four people as well. I have no complaints about the stateroom at all.

Standard stateroom. Plenty of closet/storage space. Connecting door on the inside as well as a connecting balcony. Balcony door, when opened between the two balconies, opened so that the door was along the outside balcony railing which blocked the view of 1/2 from one stateroom.  Read entire member review.

Verando Deck, Balcony, Mid-ship. Lots of storage space and great cabin stewart and room service. Convient to all parts of the ship. Bed relocated towards window/balcony.  Read entire member review.

Our room - We had a balcony room 9269(Lido Deck), very near the atrium elevators. The room was spacious and storage was plentiful. Three closets (two for hanging - with wooden hangers and one with adjustible shelving). Two large drawers under the couch, five drawers in the desk/dresser, one shelving unit with door (contained safe) and one open shelving. Luggage stowed under the bed nicely. Only two outlets in room (one American, one European). We brought a power strip and it was a life saver. Some sound bleeding from the Lido deck at night, but not too bad. I would suggest a room a few doors down (toward back of ship) if you are going to be on the Lido Deck. I heard another guest complain of the sound bleed from the disco in his room (he was right below it), so location is important. There is shampoo & shower gel, but no conditioner, so bring your own. You had to hold the button on the hair dryer to make it work (they do that so you can''t leave it on) and that was a bit awkward.  Read entire member review.
