Our cabin was 1079 on the Panaroma deck 10. It was a standard balcony and nice but we did hear some noise above at 6 AM every morning as they were setting up deck chairs. The noise lasted for about half an hour.

noisy location! close to door that leads to out to forward viewing area and door would SLAM shut VERY, VERY loud, and also noise/vibration from thrusters could be heard/felt!  Read entire member review.
Cabin 6339: Ample living and closet space. Small balcony but adequate for two people. Constant slamming of doors was loud and annoying.  Read entire member review.
The cabin was standard for any cruise ship for its size. I believe the balcony is a little small.  Read entire member review.
The cabin is located in the back so we felt vibration when we docked. It had a long balcony, this was nice.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 7262. Good size room. Plenty of closet space and drawer space. 6 shelves int he bathroom and a good size counter. Close to the forward elevators witch makes access to the showroom and the main atrium very easy. Not noisy and pretty smooth ride.  Read entire member review.
A week in the sunshine!! by CindyinSacTown
Average cabin, great location mid ship, mid height, quiet side of ship, near elevators & stairwells.  Read entire member review.
Spacious, plenty of storage. Nice, quiet.  Read entire member review.
Quiet location, no noise from pool or disco. The standard balcony seemed quite narrow, but adequate.  Read entire member review.
Very small, noisy halls, people talking, kids running. Balcony was nice...Great Views. Barely enough room for 2 people's clothes. BOOK EARLY AND GET HANDICAP ROOM IF YOU TO TAKE WHEEL CHAIR OR SCOOTER. No room in room to store and hard to get through door. I wasn't planning on taking scooter but was able to keep on Balcony. Can hear the singing FROM LOUNGE AND SHOW ROOM. VERY CLOSE TO GLASS ELEVATORS. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IF NOISE BOTHERS YOU, HANDY FOR 11 CLOSE BY ELEVATORS. I DIDN'T MIND BECAUSE I WAS HAPPY TO BE CLOSE TO THE ELEVATORS DUE TO MY SORE FOOT.  Read entire member review.
Great balcony location. This room is under the Lido, but just forward of the pool and buffet areas, and there was no sound from above.  Read entire member review.

Room is good. Enjoyable room attendant. Balcony on good side for this cruise.

Keep Calm and Cruise On! by fingerlakesmike

This cabin is a little forward of midship. It was nicely appointed. Plenty of closet space. Drawers are a little shallow, but we've found this on most cruise ships. This has a nice sleeper sofa between the bathroom wall and the bed. There is a small nightstand on each side of the bed, with a fixed light on it. I have a C-Pap machine for my sleep apnea and I had to set it on the sofa instead of the night stand, as there just wasn't room enough. The closets are on your right, as you enter the room, there are 3 doors, then a vanity counter that runs for about 7 or 8 ft. Lighted mirrors above it. There is a flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The door to the balcony opens out and is a very substantial door (heavy).
The room was very clean and had the feel that it had recently been redone.
The bathroom had a molded sink to the right, as you entered. A shower to your left and the toilet next to it.
The shower has a shower gel and shampoo dispenser, filled and waiting. You could go without bringing those things to save some space. There were other amenities in the bathroom also. Like lotions, tooth paste, soaps, etc.
The only complaint I'd have with this room is there is some sort of ventilation unit that is on the Lido Deck, just above the room, so we had that kind of a droning sound all the time, which did help in getting to sleep at night and was probably better than the party noises on the rest of the Lido Deck.
I would get this room again, if I had to.

We had a balcony cabin category 8D midship. It was great, very clean, spacious, and in a great location to all the public areas. Would definitely book the same category next time.  Read entire member review.

8332 - Typical Carnival Balcony room. Small but nicely appointed, everything worked, nice balcony for two (no more). Being one deck below the Lido it was not the absolute quietest room, but it did not bother us at all.

Good location, easy access to everything. Some noise from Lido deck above.  Read entire member review.

Room was great and size was fine, especially after spending the previous few days in a NY hotel. The glass on the balcony was cleaned often. If you're sailing out of NY, the Starboard side is the side you might want as you are will pass the Statue of Liberty when starting your cruise.

8421 & 8417 are adjoining rooms.  Near aft elevators.  Balcony partition opens.  Near pool area and Lido food area.  Great location, not much noise or movement.  Read entire member review.

Since we had six people (three adults, two gradeschoolers, and a toddler), we had to get two rooms. The rooms were spacious and very clean and upscale. Nothing in the room suggested oldness or disrepair. The stewards were wonderful--very accommodating and smiled all the time (despite their hard, hard job. They have to do everything on that ship from room cleaning, to cleaning the rest of the ship, staffing the dining halls, doing safety drills, etc.) The rooms had thermostats that worked quickly to get your room just how you wanted it depending on where you were. Since we were towards the front, there was a little extra rocking, but it wasn't unbearable. We only needed motion sickness medicine on the way back, and only for a little dizziness.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 9222 deck 9 forward - Located in quiet part of ship. Good storage space and balcony space adequate for 2 adults.  Read entire member review.
The cabin is in a great location because it has cabins above, below and across the hall, thus very quiet. Also, walk forward a short distance and you are on one of the forward observation decks. Walk to the rear and you are next to the dome covered pool. Keep walking aft and you come to the buffet. Thus is is quiet and near the action. It only sleeps two. The two balcony cabins on either side of it sleep three.  Read entire member review.
Our balcony cabin (#9234) was on the Lido deck. Great closet space, good size balcony, quiet location.  Read entire member review.
Our room was on the Lido deck but was in a very quiet location. So relatively pleased with the room.  Read entire member review.

The room was pretty much exactly like what we had on the Carnival Magic and Dream with the exception that this room seemed slightly narrower than the other larger ships. Everything otherwise was pretty much standard. The balcony, bed, couch, vanity/counter, closets (3) and bathroom were all the exact same as all the other Carnival State Rooms. This was a great location close to forward elevators, not far from the buffet. Very quiet as we heard no noise from other cabins - this cabin was not an adjoining cabin. The only noise we heard was from unruly children running in the hall way like a heard of elephants. Service from our Steward was great and room service was right on time every time.

Nice balcony, large bathroom, quiet, lots of space. Clean and beautiful. The large doors to the main hallway are kept closed at night to avaoid noise from passersby.  Read entire member review.
Ample cabin space, didn't like that people waiting for the elevators could see into our room when the door opened!  Read entire member review.

Great cabin, steward was great!

Great Balcony, but had issues with neighbors regarding smoking! Need to change policies a little to accomodate both non-smokers, and smokers! Just don't smoke on balconies, problem solved!  Read entire member review.

Clean. The balcony was amazing! offered us some peace & quiet.

Noisy...under the Lido deck (Verandah) and heard a lot of chairs being moved, dishes being washed, glasses being stacked, etc. It was irritating when it happened at 5:00am when we were on vacation.  Read entire member review.
Mentioned above, but we had to hunt down our estate steward in order to meet him. Our sheets never were changed, though they were supposed to be at least once during the cruise. There was an obvious nail polish stain on my partner's sheets that was there the entire time.  Read entire member review.
