Our cabin was on Dolphin deck and that is where we like to be, mid-ship!
This a fairly quiet section and also the ship rocks less, here with the Dolphins.
We had an inside cabin and with only a shower it appeared to be a bit larger than we remembered which is very good.
Do wish the closet could be larger but then we would loose space over all, so guess we live with what we get.
There is no bad news on the Dolphin Deck. Read entire member review.
Room 2689 was located over the engine at the back of the ship - loud, vibrated, medium in size. Was designed to add 2 more people so they said but was small for 2 people alone. Only good thing was the debarkation was usually on the same floor. Was NOT the room we expected nor booked. Read entire member review.
We were quite amazed at the size of our inside cabin, and how well organized the space was. I can't imagine having a 3rd person in it though, two was sufficient. We had all the closet space we required, but we pack lightly. The bath room was terrific and up to date, and shower very sufficient. Lighting in the room was excellent, TV could have been a bit larger but I would love to stay in this cabin again and like the inside cabin as like it dark at night to sleep. I am sure I would like to try a balcony cabin one time in the future to see how that is, but loved the one we were in. We did have a problem with the toilet at one point but it was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction by the great staff. The cabin attendants were Harry and Erwin, and again can't say enough about them, our room was always top drawer, and we loved the towel sculptures. Good job Holland America!!!!!
Inside cabin on Deck 1...1845. We never used an elevator once and included the steps as part of our daily workout. Could be a challenge if mobility were limited. Harry was great. Read entire member review.
