room was near Dazzles( a disco) did not hear that at all. Room was quiet. But if we were on the other side of the ship we would have had the better views going into and leaving the ports.  Read entire member review.

I'm glad I had a "superior" balcony stateroom as anything smaller and I think Barbie's dream house had more square footage. I scratched and cut my arm as well as cut clothing on the corner of the picture on the wall at the foot of the bed. There can't be more than 6" between the end of the bed and the wall so there is no way to walk by without either having to hold on to the picture or running into it. At least they have the forethought to securely attach it to the wall. The balcony was more of a "balconette". Less than 1 stride from the balcony door to the glass railing. Thank goodness the room next door was a travel companion so the petition was open for the duration giving it a larger feel. Here is where the first feeling of "skimping" appeared to me in the entire cruise. I hate using that word as well because I love RCCL. This is the first ship I've ever been on that had a PVC type railing. I understand the theory of reducing weight above the waterline when you go big on ships but a PVC feel to the railing was just too much skimping to me.  Read entire member review.

8584 We were just around the corner from Central Park. A few steps from the Park Cafe for morning coffee. They have good salads there. The damn closet was a pain with those awful slider doors. And the bathroom, my 6 foot husband had to sit on the toliet to brush his teeth, who designed them a midget? Loved the flat screen tv. Like the doors that go out into hall instead of in BUT the cabins are smaller then standard balcony rooms. They cut corners. Beds were OK and linen nice. Light switches were crazy, never did figure them out, just pushed until desired happened. Was always hot, had our air turned all the way to coldest, never got and stayed cold. They turned it off in the middle of the night and we would wake up hot. Yes we had our balcony door shut and handle locked, didn't help.  Read entire member review.

Typical balcony cabin and quiet location. Not too close to public elevator, service entrance for stewards or room service elevators.  Read entire member review.

Great handicapped stateroom, just perfect for a scooter and wheelchair. Would definitely recommend.  Read entire member review.

Great location for balcony room, Deck 11, forward, starboard side (for watching port arrivals/departures/activities). Room was smallish but not a problem. Plenty of closet space, lots of hangers, bag storage space under bed. Bathroom smallish, but functional and not a problem. Rooms were very quiet, even off the elevator hallway. Air conditioning system and controls worked very well. Beds were very comfortable. Only two electrical outlets "hidden" under side of desk. Nice large flat-screen TV. Decent channel selection. WiFi operation in room was terrible. Could get connection only about 10% of time. Toilet malfunctioned once. A call to services got it fixed in about 10 minutes.  Read entire member review.

We liked the location - it gives you a quick access to a public balcony that most people never find.  Read entire member review.

Room was quite small, but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and was almost a king size. There is a nice flat-screen TV mounted to the wall near the desk--might have been better mounted on the wall in front of the bed. Nice sized balcony with wonderful ocean view. Bathroom was adequate with typical small shower. All in all, it was all we needed. Location was forward, but located almost in the middle of the ship. Therefore, it was convenient to the aft or forward elevators, depending on where you needed to go. Deck 12 only has staterooms; therefore, it is very quiet.  Read entire member review.

We found our ocean view balcony cabin (12608 aft) to be clean and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. The central location of the cabin on the ship is nice and quiet and also particularly good if you suffer from sea sickness as we felt little motion.

Fantastic cruise by angelilys

I was in a balcony room which was in a perfect location on the 12th floor. It was a quiet location. Not near elevator or crew space. The pull out sofa bed for the 3rd guest really filled up any free space. You had just enough leg room, sideways, to get past to the balcony.

Adequate size. Bed comfortable. Bathroom, small but adequate, Small balcony, could have used a lounger had 2 chairs, and 1 small table. I felt there was plenty of storage. Hairdryer, small fridge after taking out mini bar items. Safe in room. Quiet, but could hear occasional noise from adjoining room.  Read entire member review.

14328: bed closest to closet made for tight squeeze getting in closet; beds very comfortable; VERY, VERY quiet cabin no hall traffic or cabin doors slamming; large public balcony next door that was hardly ever used except by us (don't think many people even knew about it ... you could even watch the Aqua Theater shows from one part of it and see rehearsals.) Outlets very difficult to get too; bring at least a 3 outlet adapter to help with plugging things in; plenty of hangars in closet already; enjoyed our private balcony as well as public next door balcony; great location at the back of the boat; convenient to pools and windjammer and dining rooms; casino was close to us too! not much drawer space for four people, would be plenty for two people; 2 bathrobes in cabin; very clean!  Read entire member review.

cabin was very quiet and close to the elevators and stairs. Forward and starboard, just under the Solurium. Unobstructed view from balcony.  Read entire member review.

Small, tight cabin with a balcony, but comfy beds and plenty of closet space and storage. There is a safe in the closet. This cabin is ideally situated: near the Vitality Spa and just down the hall from a great view of the Promenade. It is also near the Diamond Lounge! A great location indeed!  Read entire member review.

Cabin was bigger than we expected. The outside balcony was big too. The big negative about it was we were locked out on the balcony one morning. The latch closed from the inside and were not able to get back in. THIS IS A BAD DESIGN FLAW. People were getting off the port but luckily another person was on his balcony a few cabins down and we yelled out for help. Half an hour later we were rescued.  Read entire member review.

On deck 11, cabin 11150, we were relatively high and forward on the port side of the ship. The advice given us to minimize motion that causes seasickness was to be low near the center of the ship. We did not follow that rule and we loved the location of our stateroom. Not only were there no seasickness issues, but we had a magnificent view. There seemed to have been opportunity for motion sickness as the winds were very high the first couple of days. There were some rolls and surges of the ship (my first cruise so I cannot comment on their relative severity) but no stomach twinges for my wife or me. Even though it was our first cruise, my expectations from photos and other info were properly set for the size of our stateroom. And it was very adequate for the time we spent in it--especially since we had that terrific balcony. The balcony was large enough for both of us to sit comfortably, privacy panels on either side, a small drink table between us, enjoying a fabulous view. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on. It impressed us to the point that we had to investigate its source and availability. The pillows, too. Such comfortable nights of sleep. We were impressed by the quality of workmanship and materials used in our stateroom (indeed, over the whole ship). Though small, the space was very efficiently designed and served our purposes well. The bathroom is a model of efficient design and quality. An oval sink was cleverly used to provide adequate bowl volume and space without intruding very far into the room. The toilet has a vacuum-driven plunger that was entertaining to use even when there was no need. Even the shelves for toiletries had side bars that doubled nicely as handholds. The shower provided excellent water pressure and nicely built in amenities. The flat screen TV included remote access to our account information and a library of other helpful information in addition to be a seldom-used (actually never used) TV. The cabin doors opened to alcoves in the hallway rather than opening out into the hallway itself. A very nice safety feature on the day I watched a young child running full steam down the hall. Our cabin attendant, Kemuel "Abraham" Omier from Nicaragua, was very thoughtful and courteous, providing outstanding service. We enjoyed coming home in the evening to a turned down bed with towels on our bed sculpted into different animal shapes each night. He always had a smile and a greeting for us when we saw him in the halls. We were very pleased with our stateroom, its location, its amenities, and the service provided.  Read entire member review.
