Stateroom 8044 Our Superior Verandah suite (category SS) was surprisingly big with plenty of closet space. We didnt use all of it. Our stateroom was right below the Lido pool. This meant we had some noise from children running above us and chairs being moved. It was not obtrusive and it certainly didnt wake us up or gave us trouble sleeping, but still, if youre spending a lot of time on the veranda or if you love a daytime nap it can be disturbing. It's also across from a galley. It didn't cause much disturbance, but the couple of times I noticed it, it was early morning.  Read entire member review.

Great cabin. Lots of closet space, large generous bathroom, double sinks, double showers, whirlpool tub, large couch, coffee table, comfortable chairs, comfortable matresses, flat screen television, two desks - one vanity and one writing, large balcony with comfortable chairs and ottomans, plus table with two chairs for dining. Very little noise from above - other than occasional sliding of chairs on pool deck during the day or late afternoon when crew cleans up the lido. Almost amidship right below Lido deck pool area. You do get some noise from people moving the chairs around if you are on the veranda but I don't recall hearing it when we were in the room. Good closet space, plenty of hangers. Good shelf space. Desk for makeup/hair, desk for writing/reading. Great balcony that gets shade and protection from rain. Suite 8087, Navigation deck #8, located directly under Lido restaurant on starboard side about two thirds way aft, Well laid out with more than adequate closet space and quiet. Balcony quite large but as ship usually travels at 20 knots not very useful unless in tropics. No ship's motion was felt although this is the highest accommodation deck, having said that the crossing was in calm seas throughout.Other than verandah there is no dining table so room service not a good option.Excellent linen and comfortable queen mattress. Ships WI FI had strong signal in cabin but understandably was expensive and a little slower than land based broadband. Cable TV channels also limited(Fox, BBC, ESPN, CNN,TCM) but free videos available.  Read entire member review.

We were in 8078 and had lots of problem with noise above us. I was disappointed with the cabin size for a superior suite. Our suite was much larger on Royal Carribbean last year in the Grand Suite. We also had much better service last year. This year on HOlland we almost never saw our cabin steward.
