D category on this ship is an unobstructed ocean view. We were on floor 1....which is extremely convenient. Room 1046. These were great rooms!!!!! Our favorite overall ever. For the money an awesome value. Read entire member review. |

The Good
Bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Room service was excellent. Nice, unobstructed view. Very large window. Lots of closet space. Very large bathroom with a huge bathtub (as opposed to a standing shower only) and plenty of storage space in the bathroom for toiletries. Room had a sofa and coffee table, as well as a fridge. Water from the tap is drinkable, which we cooled in the fridge and saved money on bottled water. Very quiet - no engine/neighbour noise. Close to the elevator.
The Bad
Maneuvering on, off, and around the bed was a little difficult on one side due to tightness, especially for senior citizens or the handicapped.
Highly recommended room. Read entire member review. |

The veranda cabins are smaller than desired, about 170-180 sf versus the older ships with cabins of around 200 sf. The difference is a two seat couch in the smaller cabin vs a three seat couch and a side chair in the larger cabins (on the older ships). This cramps our moving around and takes some of the pleasure out of the cruise, but that is the trend these days, just like airplane seats being shrunk so that only pygmy's fit comfortably. Not enough space for clothes. Poor lighting, drawerd underbed were stuffed with what looke like "PRE-MADE" animal towels and blankets. Read entire member review. |
