Cabin 3617 was located right around the corner from the elevator, and RC On Air. One flight of stairs in the vicinity of the elevator put us in the photo gallery and just aft of the casino, another flight of stairs put us in the aft end of the Royal Promenade. Just a few steps aft of the elevators, we were in the MDR. Great location. The cabin had reasonable space, desk, LCD TV, standard 120 Vac (2) American and 220 Vac (1) European plugs. Hardwired, push button hair dryer in the top drawer. Good closet space and plenty of hangers. I was annoyed that the life preservers didn't fit well above the closet like they have in every other RCL ship that I've been on. The bathroom is pretty standard, enough room to do what you need to do in the bathroom, shower door vice curtain. One overhead plug that is a combo American two prong or British two pin plug that turns on and off with the lights. I enjoyed the cabin, and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Good location - midway down the hall - close enough to the back elevators to good for going to the pool/windjammer. Has a Frig, good balcony. Read entire member review. |

Stateroom Cabin E2, the hump, the spacious balcony and the deluxe room contouring from the upper forming decks where the hot tub are positioned.
We found the stateroom shower area impeccably kept and the power shower had fantastic water pressure. Bring less shower gel too, as I was impressed by the soap dispenser with a mini drying line for your smalls inside the shower cabinet. The stateroom had a standard self keyed in control safe and reasonable cost mini bar with an impressive low cost for ironing your special formal wear.
This type of state room is very ideal for first timer cruisers, to not have the getting lost position.
The status of this balcony cabin could do with a reclining chair rather that the standard rubber strapped chair which arent comfortable and hurt if you have sunburn. The balcony table are useless as they are not stable enough, especially if wanting breakfast with the room serving tray. We ended up using the glass stateroom table instead. Theres a lobby area with the lifts to the right, outside your door but Do not expect ANY corridor and stairway noise.
What was comfortable and will be memorable as the memory foam topper on the joining roomy beds eased those tired adventurous and dancing legs.
My main pet hate was the hair driers, as they have only one speed and overheat setting and it is very tiring on the arm, as you have to keep pressing the on switch to get consistent airflow to style your hair.

We had a balcony stateroom on Deck 6. The room size was adequate (maybe large for a cruise ship). I have no other experience other than to look into the other cabins along the way. The Interior staterooms overlooking the Promenade looked spacious too.
Closet space was adequate and the use of space very efficient. Out two big suitcases on rollers fit very nicely. Our carry on bag fit easily and they had some pull down hangar rods we used for the backpack.
My only complaint with the room was the table in front of the small couch. If someone was sitting at the mirror / desk, you couldn't extend the table away from the couch.
We were able to utilize the shelving in the closet and desk to put all our clothes away. That meant empty suitcases that we could start each day by packing away dirty clothes. This tip I received here at Cruise Critic made it that much easier to pack on the last day. We both slept well, with no interruptions from hallway noise. Read entire member review. |

We were right around the corner from the elevators, but experienced no elevator noise and very little noise from the hallway. I was very surprised at how quiet it was! Read entire member review. |

6640 Deck 6 - center hump - awesome choice, the balcony sticks out quite a bit further than non-hump balcony's. You really have to turn your head around to see the other balcony's off the hump.
Very quiet, directly across from the hallway to the stairs and elevators. No problems with noise at all. Clean cabin, tiny shower but great water pressure!, sink small. Lots of hangers, closet nice size, TV has a large variety of stations, balcony sliding door stays open if you want it too, wonderful cabin service twice a day. Perfect location for night time activities. One deck above main promenade and dining room for anytime diners seating. Highly recommend this room. Read entire member review. |

Our cabin was on the hump on deck 6. It was in a great central location; one floor above the Promenade and adjacent to the elevators. It is worth noting that our room steward, Sheldon was FANTASTIC!!! Read entire member review. |

7290, 7296 Are mid-ship balcony cabins. They are a long walk down the halls, which wasn't a problem for us, but could be a problem for anyone not able to walk very far. There was plenty of space in the closet and the drawers available. Great balcony views. You could hear the activity from the pool at times during the day but this didn't present a problem for us.
7297 is a Promenade Cabin located directly across from the General Store. No noise, quiet and has a great view of the parades and street activity. It has plenty of room in the closet and plenty of storage space. It's also located mid-ship and a long walk from elevators so if you have walking difficulties this wouldn't be the best choice. My husband and I booked a Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with a balcony (7296) and the kids stayed in a Promenade Stateroom right across the hall (7297). I found the location of the rooms (middle, right hand side of the ship) perfect; we were always facing the ports of call. The kids room was handy as we had the option of watching the festivities (parades and such) from the comfort of their couch. The stage was just to the left of their window so we had a wonderful view of the entertainers. The room layouts were very similar and there was ample space to store all clothing etc. The suitcases fit nicely under the bed(s). Read entire member review. |

Our cabin on the hump on the 7th floor was in a good location/quiet and roomy enough for the two of us. Our stateroom was always clean and filled with extra towels. I would recommend this room to all. Read entire member review. |

Good closet space, well organized and roomy bathroom, great shower, additional storage areas throughout room, quiet, nice balcony [would have enjoyed loungers but otherwise chairs were fine] Great room attendant! Fun towel animals. Read entire member review. |

Perfect location for us by the library.
We wish smoking wasn't allowed on the cabin balconies. The people in the next cabin forced us to keep our balcony door closed and limited our breakfast time on the balcony because of their incessant smoking.
The loose, banging panel on the balcony was fixed promptly. Requested extra hangers were provided promptly. Read entire member review. |

Outside of a few kids running up and down the halls during the middle of the day, cabin was great. We were in the belly are of the ship, so our balcony sticks out a little bit from the ship. You could see the side of the ship easily. We were close to the elevator which was nice. It really wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be with being that close to the elevator. Overall it was good with plenty of room for the two of us. I did get the ocassional wiff of smoke from a smoker in the area, but that was usually in the morning and maybe once or twice all week. Cabin 8338 - center hump cabin. Location was perfect, just off the stair/elevator area. No noise from elevators. The only noise we heard was from kids running down the hallway, which is to be expected. No noise from neighbors. Bed was very comfortable and the size was good for 2 people. Would with out a doubt book this room again. Read entire member review. |

We had a balcony cabin aft on deck 8. The cabin was nice with plenty of room and storage space, a couch, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and safe. Unlike on Carnival, the balcony doors slide. On Carnival, the slamming of the balcony doors at all hours of the day and night drove us crazy! Read entire member review. |

We had an accessible balcony room. There was plenty of space in the room, bathroom and balcony. We needed the extra space to handle the oxygen concentrator and bottles along with the wheelchair. When we got to our cabin they had provided a heavy duty extension cord to assist with keeping all the medical equipment "charged up". Great touch to meet our needs. Read entire member review. |

Balcony was a nice size compared to other RCI ships.
Shower in the bathroom is a small capsule which is horrible, cannot move inside.
You can hear people in adjacent cabins. Could better insulate against this.
The cabins with balconys could be made bigger to give you a little bit more room. Read entire member review. |

Our cabin on Freedom of the Seas was kept exceptionally clean and was very comfortable. The stateroom attendants on Royal Caribbean are top of the line professionals who always display a friendly demeanor.
We did not know this ahead of time, but there was a service station right across from our room, as indicated by a large red and green sign. That was the one and only downfall as it was extremely noisy, especially during the early evening hours and some mornings at the crack of dawn. Read entire member review. |

We were on deck 6 and in what is known as a hump cabin. The room was long and narrow with very little room to walk around the foot of the bed. There was adequate storage/hanging space for two people. The balcony was small but very nice, jutting out so we could see the water and look back at other Cabins. We had a refrigerator. The bathroom had limited shelf space and small shelves behind the mirror on one side only. The shower had two small, rounded doors to close and was small but not uncomfortable for a rather large man. Balcony-- plenty of room for two. Lots of storage space with small cupboards on both sides of mirror. Ample room in the closet. Did not need additional storage devices. Bathroom-- small shower for a large husband, but I did alright. No complaints! Great balcony. Near elevator, but never heard it. Didnt' hear anything, infact. Great location on hump, near library which was central for meeting. Deck 7 is a great deck to be on because it is within walking the stairs distance for anything. Read entire member review. |

We will never be in an inside stateroom again. Balconies are the way to cruise! Very quiet, great view, but hallways always seemed to be packed with cabin stewards cleaning equipment/dirty laundry, etc. Annoying. Read entire member review. |
