Dont stay on Deck 2, its close to the sewage treatment area of the ship and the halls smell like crap!

Cabin 6220 was excellent as far as size and accommodation. We ended up walking a lot, though. One reason is that Freedom of the Seas is a large ship, but also because all dining is at the rear of the ship and our cabin was near the front. I will say that the hallway was pretty noisy but it would've been that way anywhere on the ship except maybe the back. Balcony was nice and the water pressure in the shower was surprisingly good.  Read entire member review.

6224: Quiet (never heard ANY outside noises from around us), convenient, great view and nice balcony, no problems at all - would book this room again 6225: Quiet and convenient  Read entire member review.
Great balcony. Had two rooms and dividers could be unlocked so we could share one large balcony.  Read entire member review.
Room 6342..excellent location. This cabin was just a few steps from the aft stairs and just one floor above the main promenade. It was very quiet but our bed was so hard we had to have the room steward change out the mattress. The shower was tiny but everything else was fine.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was really nice. Although this cabin has a connecting door, it still has a full- size sofa. Cabin Steward was top-notch! Wijawa was superb!!

Noisy - above Bull & Bear pub, so not a good room for anyone wishing to get to bed before midnight  Read entire member review.
Great balcony-No noise from anywhere! Only is far from everything on the ship, except for the elevators.  IF you dont mind walking a bit, this is a great cabin!  Read entire member review.
Excellent Service by FunGranny

This was a very nice cabin with plenty of room and storage. While it was close to the forward elevator, there was no noise from those using the elevator. However, it was a long, long walk to the aft elevator we took to go down or up to the dining areas. The theater is located in the forward part of the ship. Therefore, we used the aft elevator much more than the forward elevator. While we did feel a lot of rocking two nights when the ship was traveling fast, the other nights were fine.

Cabin 7358 AFT Balcony, good size, great attendant, but if there are smokers around you its a waste of money.  Read entire member review.
Big room, big balcony, big shower stall, good side of the ship to have a cabin on for Eastern Caribbean itinerarys (the wind blows on the other side for most of the trip).  Read entire member review.
We were in cabin 7540 - this was a great location since it was close to the stairs and elevators. Only four flights up to the windjammer and pools, 2 flights down to the promenade, 4 flights down to the dining room. We took the stairs most of the time to avoid waiting for elevators and to get a little exercise. The room was a little on the small side, not much space to put our suitcases, and not enough drawers to really unpack our suitcases. It was nice to have a full size couch though. The beds were very, very comfortable, the tv was great, the balcony was great, and the room was beautiful and comfortable. Shower was small, but I guess they all are unless you get a suite.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 7548. Large bed, great sized balcony, couch not a love seat, closet ok could have been alittle larger, bathroom just right, shower love the curved doors, very clean.  Read entire member review.
Great view from the balcony - we were on the bump out of the ship. Close to the elevators. Directly under the kids pool, kids activity center. Above the dining rooms. Great location!  Read entire member review.
Disappointing Cruise by savycruisers

Wonderful cabin, fantastic location and lots of room and storage space

We were in cabin 8228. This is a D2 cabin located on the starboard side in the forward section of the ship. This location was VERY convenient and we will definitely choose this exact location again. We were three floors up to the Windjammer and pool deck, and three floors down to the Promenade level. Being at the front of the ship was no issue at all as we did not feel any turbulance. The cabin itself was wonderful. The bed was a large queen and was comfortable. The bedding was nice and very crisp and clean. There was tons of storage space. A large closet with shelves along one end to put flat items. Six small drawers for shirts and smaller things. The bathroom had a fairly large medicine cabinet that held all our toiletry items. There was more storage in the mirrors above the vanity that we did not even use. The sofa was very long and could easily accommodate my 6'3" husband to lie down on. There was a small coffee table that was large enough to hold a room service tray. A vanity with lighted mirror and chair and two bedside tables completed the furniture in the room. The balcony was more then large enough for the two of us. It was as wide as the cabin, and about six feet deep. Two comfortable chairs and a small table were provided. The front of the balcony was glass, so you could see the ocean even from inside the cabin. The wall dividers were glass that was frosted for privacy. The location was very quiet. We never heard any unwanted noise from either the halls, venues or the ship itself. Overall we were very pleased with our cabin, and really did not see the need for anything larger.  Read entire member review.
We were in cabin 8238, it is forward with a short walk to the stairs and elevators. We chose this area because it's close to the gym and solarium. The cabin was very nice, clean and spacious for the two of us. We like having a balcony to sit on in the morning and at night. Our cabin steward Oscar Gordon was very attentive and kind. We had a great week on FOS!  Read entire member review.
Even though we were close to the elevators, the cabin was very quite. We were across from the Internet lounge as well and it was still quiet. Balcony large enough for more than 2 people to sit out. Closet adequate. Bathroom comfortable. Love the bed and linens.  Read entire member review.

Decor slightly dated, but very clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Bed was very comfortable! The large balcony was wonderful as well.

Our room was below standards for our expectations. First of all, the room number was missing most of the number 8. It appears to have been cracked off. The room was spacious but the carpet was worn & dirty. The tile in the bathroom was cracked in several spots. Also, our room had a strange smell. We solved that problem by leaving the balcony door open.

Standard RCCL cabin, midway between Atriums, quiet location.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was a comfort. Large spacious with plenty of room. Enjoyed the actual shower door and not a curtain. balcony door did not close tight letting the whistling sound in through the small crack. cabin steward did a good job.

We were in cabin 9320 which is a D2 midship. Everything about the cabin was just fine except the drain speed of the sink. This was fixed by maintenance after a couple of days. No big deal. There was plenty of closet space and drawer and shelf space for the two of us for the week. New flat screen TV. Ice is no longer a standard in the cabin. You need to requst it and it saved us from a bucket of water that we didn't use on a daily basis.  Read entire member review.
Cabin was great, number 9396, balcony on starboard side, all the way at the end of the hall.  Very quite.  Very comfortable bed, flat screen tv was awesome.   Read entire member review.
Spectacular! by Hobiecat01

Very nice cabin! Very quiet, easy to get up and down the elevators to most entertainment. The beds were awesome! THE best beds in the fleet! We like the cabins in this area because you can sit on the balcony and hear the wake coming off of the bow. Also, I like to watch the flying fish jumping out of the bow wake!

In the cabin was great, the cabin was over 200 square feet with a nice balcony. This is more then enough room to keep your clothes , sleep and get ready to go out.The TV was a nice flat screen with a lot of channels of the ship and the ships location and speeds there also were few channels of basic TV.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was 9662, a D2 Superior Ocean View Stateroom on the Port side behind the bump out near the aft which we booked through a big box discount warehouse website. We always book through this site as we’ve had good luck with them and get some really good shipboard credits. In this case we had $380 worth of shipboard credits.

Cabin was clean and functional and the balcony was plenty big. One thing we did like was that the bed was right next to the balcony so we could just lay in bed and look out at the sea in the morning. Another small thing that was nice, the shower featured solid doors instead of a shower curtain. On the ships with shower curtains, they always have a tendency to get sucked into the shower and basically stick to you while you’re showering. We always prefer to see some sort of solid doors. There was plenty of hot water and easy controls.

One thing missing from other ships was a direct way to contact our cabin steward. On other ships there was a card in the cabin with a direct phone extension to reach the steward. On Freedom there was no way to connect to the steward other than to call housekeeping I guess. We were never actually told, but this is my guess. When the ship arrived in Jamaica our steward was changed out and the new steward completely missed the turn down service and delivering the Cruise Compass that evening. Minor thing I know, but still something we’ve not experienced on other ships with a steward changeover. He did get it right the rest of the trip.

One really nice thing on RC was the ability to keep tabs on our account via the television. This is the first ship we’ve been on with that feature and it’s much preferable than having to go to Guest Relations to check the current balance on your account. It was remarkable how quickly it was updated with charges showing up minutes after we made them.

Plenty of room, nice balcony, very quiet location

Our room had a balcony and the bed was very comfortable. They put an egg crate mattress on the bed and that made it even better. We didn't request it but we have on past cruises.

Spacious; sliding doors in the shower; shelves in the closet. Balcony had two chairs and a small side table.  Read entire member review.
I like staying towards the back of the ship. We were in 9694 on the port side. Room was's towards the end of the hall so it was very quiet most of the time. Balcony was nice size. Deck 9 was a good choice too because we could just walk up to Deck 11 to go swimming or to the Windjammer. We could also walk down to 5 or 4 without problems. We were on deck 6 last year....too much to walk all the way to 11.  Read entire member review.
Great balcony, comfortable bed, good size television, well kept and clean, nice size, good size storage - overall very good experience with the room and balcony.  Read entire member review.
Fantastic Voyage by familyof52011
Larger than Carnival. Roomy closet with shelving. Deck 10 is a great location, easy access to pools. Awesome shower....water pressure was crazy! Very little water trickling out of bathroom sink. No venting in bathroom. Nice balcony furniture. Beware of cigarette smoke.  Read entire member review.
We had a Superior Cabin with Balcony which was adequate but not very big. The room shook if any nearby room door was shut and you could not hear the ship announcements when in your room ! The ridiculously high price for internet access in your room is disgusting. The room was kept clean by a very efficient and conscientious attendant.  Read entire member review.
Larger than interior cabins, loved the balcony. Will definitely do again.  Read entire member review.
