Mid-Ship Balcony Cabins 109 Reviews
These Norwegian Jewel mid-ship staterooms sleep up to four guests and come with two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and a convertible sofa pulls out to sleep two more. Also includes a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony with a great view. Because they are mid-ship, you'll have easy access to everything on board.

Cabin 9058 was great, mid-ship, just above life boat number 5. It was quiet and had plenty of space for the 2 of us. We love NCL bathrooms on Jewel class ships, the showers are rectangular and you can actually turn around.  Read entire member review.

Roomier than I thought it would be. Comfy bed, great balcony, and larger than expected bathroom.  Read entire member review.

Pros:  Adequate space for clothes, well laid out, adequate seating area, great mini fridge, coffee and tea making facilities (kettle)

Cons:  Dim lighting, beds that sagged too much, thin walls, stench of sewer coming from toilet

Cabin 9108 (BA category, mid-ship balcony room on the 9th floor) Having sailed on Princess and Royal Caribbean previously, I found the balcony cabin and balcony to be on the small side, but for the amount of time we spend in the cabin, it was comfortable for 2. The bathroom was the roomiest and there was adequate closet space. Cabin 9108 is in an ideal location - up the midship elevators and 4 doors aft on the starboard side. We never heard any outside noise and the room was central to all locations on the ship.  Read entire member review.

Quiet cabin near mid-deck elevators but not too close. No noise from above at all. Storage adequate.  Read entire member review.

We had 2 balcony staterooms side by side. The rooms were small, and the toilet areas soooo tiny.  Read entire member review.

Bow waves broke right ouside our cabin, good position regarding stairwells, crowded with 3 people, no public rooms above or below.  Read entire member review.

A great location for the cabin, because most of the things we wanted to access were forward to midship. This was closer to front than the midship elevators, but not a bad walk for my husband who is on a cane.

Enough space to unpack and put things in the closet. Smokers upwind sometimes got in the way of using the balcony. The bed was marginal for my back - had to sleep right on the edge to get a good night sleep. TV Captains log had unchanging data for sunrise and sunset and sea conditions, though we sailed 800 nautical miles from east to west. A nice addition, especially in the tropics would be sea temperature. The bathroom and shower were good - I thought about installing those shampoo dispensors in my own shower. Very good cabin staff.  Read entire member review.

Best bathroom lay out!  Shower with sliding glass door, toilet with sliding glass door, sink in the middle.  Loved the coffee/tea pot in the room and the mini fridge that the cabin steward emptied for us.  Generous balcony.  Coach next to window.  Read entire member review.

Cabin fine for two folks, or family with one young child. We had thought about bringing our 19yr old son. Glad we didn't pull out right on top of the king size bed.  Read entire member review.

9606- positives: storage space, mini fridge, large safe, storage in the bathroom, partition in the bathroom between shower-sink-toilet nice linens and bed super comfortable as a KiNg size negatives: small and outdated carpet, tv, furniture, very little space to walk def not recommended for more than 2 passengers.  Read entire member review.

We loved the location of our cabin and are so glad we decided on a balcony for Alaska. We spent the morning we were in Sawyer Glacier on the balcony watching all the sights. We could just step inside for a few minutes and warm up and then head back outside.

Great midship location. Balcony had sun in morning and shade in afternoon-very nice for a Caribbean cruise. Nice size safe and plenty of storage. A little smaller than other balcony cabins. Big bathroom, strong shower, no conditioner.  Read entire member review.

This was a nice cabin on the starboard side of the ship forward. It was in a quiet location not too far from the elevators. Handy to run up a couple of flights of stairs to the pool, Great Outdoors etc. Kettle in room was a bonus.  Read entire member review.

Jewel is a Gem! by shalibibi
Great storage space! More than plenty of room for the three us for our clothes and personal items. Bathroom is small but streamlined. Loved the shower head on a hose that you can leave on the hook or take off and use hand held. Balcony more spacious than I expected. Room for two chairs, the small round balcony able, and the rectangular table from our cabin, we put it out there for more room when the pull out was pulled out. With all that on the balcony you could still be out there and have room for two more people to stand. Loved it! Now I want a balcony all the time!  Read entire member review.

NCL = Never Care Line by CaptainKirk
Nice balcony cabin on the 10th deck very close to restaurants and activites and yet very quiet. The balcony was very small though, you can barely relax on it and you cannot eat on it, too small. To get a bigger balcony, you have to upgrade to a mini suite on the 11th deck. Princess cruises has a balconey twice the size for the same price.  Read entire member review.

good location, loved the balcony but had to climb over the pull-out sofabed to get to it! Closet space worked well, bathroom compact but very efficient, good shower. Toilet malfunctioned several times (whole section).  Read entire member review.

Mini-Cruise with Neighbors by Pollyanna Dreamgirl
Cabin 10072 - BA Balcony. Toward the middle of the ship on deck 10. Very little movement. Perfect layout for 2 people. Two desk areas with chairs - one for tray with hot pot (we moved it to an upper shelf) - and one for makeup, or whatever. Refrigerator - had our steward move the "honor" items to a top shelf so we could use it for our own stuff. GREAT storage - fairly large closet, bank of 3 drawers on one side of closet, bank of 4 open shelves on other side of closet. Bathroom storage minimal - 3 little glass shelves on side, and 1 shelf under the sink. Small night stand next to bed. Lots of room under bed for luggage storage (or whatever). Nice balcony - 2 chairs and 1 tiny little round table. Love the new flat screen TVs.!  Read entire member review.
10074
We fit two large suitcases under the bed. We had enough room to hold all our stuff. The shower was hot, but if you are large in the butt, you may have a tough time in the toilet section! The thermostat worked well. We were on the 10th floor, starboard, and really enjoyed the room. Not large, but big enough for its purpose. Not much to watch on TV. You have Fox News, MSNBC, ESPN, a couple kids channels, ship-based channels, and a couple channels that show old shows. No clock in the room either. Internet access costs $100 for 250 minutes, or $55 for 100 minutes.  Read entire member review.

Great room, loved the layout. Did not get but two towel animals the whole cruise.

The balcony cabin was ok. The bathroom was divided into 3 sections. The sink and mirror was in the middle. The shower was to the right with a sliding door instead of a shower curtain. That was nice. The toilet was on the left with a sliding door also. That was kind of tight there. The in room safe was the usual size but very deep. you could put a lot in it for safe storage.

The best holiday so far! by dopeyngrumpy
10090 - good location above and below other cabins and only 2 doors from the midships lifts. No noise at all. Only issue is with the sofa bed out you cannot get onto the balcony and the closet isn't made for 3. Would be great for 2 people.  Read entire member review.

A beautiful ship with beautiful colours by Globetrotter of the Seas
Nice to have balcony. Small cabin but nice colours and design. Quiet location but the balcony-door was noisy at nights when the waves were high. Coffee- and tea-making facilities. Bathrobe by request. Laundry-service. No complimentary hair-balsam or body lotion. New towel-animals every evening!  Read entire member review.

Best Vacation Ever! by johndeere02
Port side balcony on the Jewel (Category BA midship)- Room and bathroom were small, but functional. Plenty of storage space. We put suit cases under the bed and in closet. Fridge was big enough to keep a few extra beers and bottles of pop in. Bed was comfy. I liked being able to have control over how warm/cool our room was. Balcony was wonderful. We figured out how to open the doors between balconies so our whole group had one large balcony! It was always very quiet in our hall.  Read entire member review.

Best Cruise Yet by rick@rickrotsch.com
We had a balcony on the 10th floor aft. The cabin was nice, typical for a cruise. The balcony had a great view. I had loud neighbors which was annoying because if their balcony door was open when mine was I could hear everything. Had they been a little more respectful and quiet, it would have been fine.  Read entire member review.

Awesome trip by advancedalgebra
Our cabin was on deck 9 and slightly aft of midship. Nice size closets and drawers, very comfortable beds (had ours divided into 2 twins), comfortable couch, nice sit down vanity area with hair dryer and mirror. The bathroom divided into 3 compartments-shower, sink, and toilet. Toilet could be a tight fit for a larger person. TV, hot water pot, refrigerator and mini-bar and small table. Balcony with a great view and protected from the wind. We did not hear any noise from the hallway or adjacent cabins. Each night we found a new "towel animal" on our bed. Nice touch!  Read entire member review.

Barely average for a balcony cabin on a newer ship. I think it was only 167 sq. ft., and in spite of a commodious shower the bathroom was tiny beyond belief. I could as well barely make out the tiny TV screen from across the room. Other than that it was what you might expect on a moderately-priced cruise line/  Read entire member review.

Our mid-ship balcony worked well for the both of us, plenty of room for our stuff [ though we didn't have much ]. Thought the layout of the built ins was well appointed.
